It seems harder to find someone to do this lately. However I do remember someone within the last 2 or 3 weeks suggesting anyone who needs edl flashing to PM them. Have a search back over the posts from March (don't think it was longer ago than that) about hard bricks and edl flashing, hopefully you'll come across the xda member who posted they can help.
Alright thanks will try to take a look at this

I was able to edl flash with my account, unbricked one device long time ago, after that i offer free edl flash in forum, so one guy contact me for edl and i find out that my acc is no longer authorized. Don't know is xiaomi removed my authorization or i have only one flash with edl. So maybe reason for finding edl authorized acc is harder bcs xiaomi removing those accounts. Even s-unlock site removed options for edl flash services don't know why.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I'd say in the majority of cases Xiaomi is at fault and should therefore fix bricks; not be trying to prevent users from repairing them. Granted the user has taken actions to cause it but Xiaomi has made it notoriously easy to brick their handsets. There's zero region mismatch checks; their software defaults to lock (ergo, brick) - which makes no sense (why is a standard flash-all not default?). You could argue they've really set a lot of users up to brick their phones in this way. There's plenty of warnings when you unlock the bootloader and "are you sure?" but zero warnings for re-locking the bootloader; no checks, no warning messages; just a hasty lock. They've made sure EDL is locked down amid security concerns but it was created for this very purpose by Qualcomm so that phones would never become "brickable" - meanwhile Xiaomi has provided no alternative.
I think they know exactly what they're doing and it's kinda sickening.

Hey guys,
I only have one easy question:
I got the old phone from wife(pra-lx1), 8.0.0 installed.
Is there any working possibility to unlock/Root the phone anymore since Huawei dropped it's webpage for this?
Any working tutorial which is useful? I've have never seen anything working so maybe anyone has an idea how to unlock it.
Thanks in advance!

You can try "DC Unlocker -> Bootloader unlock for Huawei devices " from the playstore.. It costs between 1€ and 16€ per unlock .. unfortunately I havent tried their method .. since the IMEI way they once offered is gone (probably due to huawei disabling the service) .. so you can only try to read the code from your phone's bootloader which may or may not work ... they offer a refund if it doesnt work
Thx I gonna try it! Look @ Huawei's answer. It's a shame!

Yea, already read about it in a german forum, when they announced it in may '18 ... a sad thing they say "improving customer service" when in truth they reduce the service .,.
True thing though that many people bricked their Huawei P / Honor device but only because Huawei blocked all easy ways .. I still remember how easy it was on my good'ol' Galaxy Nexus (3) .. and at that time it was still considered obligatory to offer easy ways because rooting and modding was "fair use" .. Heck they even successfully sued the first manufacturers that tried to block rooting because of this "fair use" practise .. what happened to the world

No, I didnt pay (yet) - because nobody could show a way to root my PRA-LX1 running EMUI 8.0.0..374 without bricking it.
Doesnt make sense to pay unless I can reliably continue unlocking
Oh ok...
So we just have to sell our P8Lite... and cry.

Yes, I had Android 8.0 and Emui 8.0. I wanted to install a custom rom but I had a lot of problem, I installed TWRP but had a lot of Error 7; I nearly bricked the device but it has started eRecovery by itself and repaired - but this is another story...

thank you
Yeah see Roms and other kernels here in xda all. In. One flash tool is good.
But at the moment bootloader isn't unlockable. For Huawei p20 pro, so you need to. Wait a short time.
(since a month Huawei. P20. Normal was unlocked) so wait....
Of course it's possible to unlock bootloader. It's paid and quite expensive but there are at least three suppliers who offer it. Just do some searching here or in discussion section. Development is not in mature stage though.
Thank you all, I'll wait.

Hey guys.
Just wanted to tell you that the codes are available again.
Ministry of solutions only supports the Chinese models.
Funky Huawei should support all.
I had placed an order over a month ago so I'll send a support ticket to see if there are any news.
Update: On funky Huawei, it says that you can buy it but when you're on the according page, it says that it currently isn't available.
Update 2:
The funky Huawei said that I'll get a code or a refund within 14 days.
I had placed an order on 11 January.
Update 3:
Funky Huawei is down. Ministry of solutions is in "testing". Global unlocking solutions promises to deliver but only accepts credit card payments.
I don't remember the site, but one of the other thread had a link to another site that provided working unlock codes.
Just read through a few thread. I think it was here.

A stupid question. Will i loose the code if i flash or update a custom rom? Or flash a second rom later. Is it for ever? Thanksssss

I've never tried it before but you should need the code only once.
Keep it somewhere safe anyway, just in case.
You can use it multiple (if it's even necessary).

That's very unfortunate.
I was told that I will either get the code or a refund within 14 days.
But if I remember correctly, that was said from the beginning.
All models are supported but there's no guarantee that you'll get the code for every single device.
Oh man... Is FH seriously only going to unlock Chinese phones now? The unlock codes shouldn't be tied to any location, I wonder why they would do that?

1) Like I've already said above, they provide codes for every region.
2) Even if it's just for the chinese models like with "ministry of solutions", it's because of Huawei themselves.

Hi
I searched the forums up and down and looked at several options to restore my Chinese K20 pro from a hard brick. I have tried for several days now. Contacted the Russian guy, looked at the Xiaomi tool forum. etc
I have the phone open on and can see the Qualcomm 9008 in device manager already.
Please does someone have an authorised EDL account or method to fix this?
All other forums are old pre 2020 hence the reason for a new post.
Thanks in advance
KaBoom
I was in same situation, opened phone, did edl test point method, contacted various shady people ect ect yet no one replied.
I already had unlocked bootloader and never found out why phone randomly bricked, tried everything to unbrick so as a last resort I relocked bootloader and unlocked (miflash unlocked instantly no wait time, doubt I'll get that luck again) flashed fastboot rom and it booted. Just a suggestion for ya to try if you can't find someone with edl account.

People who can remotely EDL flash will charge for the service, last I saw it was up to $40. It is against XDA terms to promote paid for services, so we can not share information about who can EDL flash, if that person charges for doing so. Therefore people are sharing this information through PM's.
