i have exactly the same problem in greece, the 4 last mobiles like note 9,op 5t and 7 pro,p30 pro works perfect with cosmote carrier on volte and wificalling mode, but with pixel 4 xl not working.i didn't find solution on the whole network
Google is just ignoring most VoLTE networks by not providing needed configs on their phones.

Carrier should add the profile of Pixel 4 to enable VoLTE. No VoLTE is working in HK for Pixel 4 device unless they do so.

I don't think so, VoLTE works on my Galaxy Note3 with flashed rom that supports VoLTE although my network didn't list and have VoLTE for Note3
From what i know strongly carrier dependant. If they did not enable it for the device, i cannot enable it
There was a way to enable VoLTE on my previous Asus Rog phone 2 using root. My carrier didn't support it before but it worked using that hack. Don't know if the same will work on pixel..

I am on google fi. Both my wife 3axl and my 4xl show volte as on but greyed out. So I cant change it. I dont know if that means its actually on or not. And it shows vowifi not available and vidio over lte not avaliable. Does anyone know if I am actually on volte?

If you are on LTE out of call, you making a call and you stay on LTE, then you have VoLTE.
Ah thank you. I do belive that I am on volte. It does continue to show lte when on a callat least most of the time. sometimes it kicks back to hspa+ but not too much. The weird thing for me is why no vowif. I thougt wifi calling was a given at this point especially with tmo. I have signal spy and I use it to force tmo all the time. Sprint sucks in my area but for some reason the phone wants to default to sprint. I did the tests in a number of sports around my area and sprint gets like average 8 mbps download while tmo gets like 30 or 40mbps download. Thats a big difference. This is my second time on fi. I had it when it first came out with my nexus 6p and it always stayed on tmo. never switched to sprint. so fi changed something.
Has anyone figured out this issue? I am on redpocket with GSMA (ie AT&T). They have told me over and over that volte and WIFI calling is enabled - neither option is available. (same with a note10+, pixel 3 XL).
Thanks!
Guys,
i got a Pixel few Days ago ... i need to change the qualcomm profile, to get Volte work ... but i can´t enable the Diag port to get PDC working ... is there any solution?
is there anyway to enable VoLTE for any network? Those days even Redmi phones have this enabled by default

Have you tried the mentioned method?
I have magisk on Canary build and i am not able to find advanced settings to set "preserve avb 2.0/dm-verity" in first steps.
Also I tried to apply the codes at the end of the instructions to enable Diag mode but it is not working

For the A11 beta's there aren't any userdebug vendor images anyway, so you can't do that step. On A11 Beta 3 I know QPST works with the given ADB commands at the bottom of the quoted post, but I couldn't get QXDM to show anything but it's a pretty old version. I do not know about PDC.

Hi all,
I'm currently running LineageOS 16.0 on my OnePlus 3T on the Three UK network and was wondering if anyone out there has managed to get native WiFi calling working in a setup like this?
I get zero mobile reception at my work so for over a year now have been using the Three inTouch WiFi calling app which has been pretty good, however last week I received a message saying that due to upcoming network upgrades Three will be retiring the app in a month or two so I now would like to be able to use Android's native WiFi calling if this is at all possible.
Three's website says that WiFi calling is only supported on Android on handsets purchased from them on contract, however I'm a SIM-only customer. I've got the latest OxygenOS modem firmware etc. installed as far as I'm aware, so was wondering if any of you clever people here on XDA have managed to find any unofficial ways of getting the native WiFi calling working for any old network?

Wifi calling is working out of the box for me. VoLTE too*. (LOS+3+SIM only+OP3/T) Been working with that setup since the beginning of LOS16.
*With 3 you'll only connect to VoLTE when 3G is unavailable as they prioritise in that order. For some reason they don't like people to use 'Super Voice', even though they advertise it as a feature. There's a big thread on the Digital Spy forum covering 3 and 4G in the UK that you might find useful.
Edit: Try the field test number. Enter *#*#4636#*#* in the Dialer. Is Wifi Calling 'Provisioned'. See my own screenshot:
On my stock op3t there is no WiFi calling toggle to switch on. That probably explains why I don't have it despite being able to switch it on under enhanced communications under sim settings.
Is there a way to activate it? The volte calling I got by doing a code thing.

Yes the "Wi-Fi Calling provisioned" toggle is on.
I've just upgraded to the latest LOS 16.0 nightly (2019-05-02) but still no sign of the native Wi-Fi calling working.
You said you've had it working since the start of LOS 16.0. I upgraded to 16.0 over-the-top directly from 15.1, do you think that could have anything to do with it?
Are there any settings in the SIM itself which could be needed to enable Wi-Fi calling? I think my SIM is a good 3 years old or so, would swapping it for a newer one be any use do you think?

What exactly are you doing to test that it's working or not? Have you made a call with Wifi on/Mobile signal absent?
Is there anything particularly unusual or unique about the Wifi network you've been trying this with? Have you tried other Wifi networks?

OcUK. User name looks familiar.
We're having this conversation in multiple threads.
VoWifi does NOT work, despite any previous assertions to the contrary. As i mentioned, it was flawed testing methodology.
VoLTE does work, but with Three network restrictions. i.e only when there is no normal 4G (1800Mhz) or 3G available. VoLTE is only carried on the 800Mhz band, which is prioritised lowest.
There are two very long Three 4G threads on the Digital Spy forums. Worth reading if you want the long version of what i have stated above.
Edit: Just a suggestion. Try this app so that you can monitor what Bands you are connecting to at any given time:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wilysis.cellinfolite&hl=en
What you need for VoLTE to work is Band 20. (800Mhz)

It looks like you have Wifi turned on in those screenshots. If you turn it off you should be able to make a VoLTE call. At least it looks like you should.
So has 3G always been bad where you are? I assume you don't have 3G or normal 4G reception at all? (Bands 1 & 3)
I almost always connect to one of those two in my area, although where i am now it looks like some neighbouring towers do carry Band 20. I just need to destroy the other towers to connect to it!

So what you're seeing is evidence of Three de-prioritising Band 20. As 800Mhz has better building penetration it's all you're getting while inside. When you step outside you begin to pick up the other Bands which you are immediately switched to, whether you lke it or not.
I only latch on to Band 20 once in a Blue Moon. The coverage of the other Bands is almost total so i don't stand a chance!
VoWifi is another matter altogether. If it could work with the 'intouch' app there must be something in the app that could be added to our ROMs natively. That's my logic anyway. (Also support is added to phones bought from Three using their official ROMs, so the same logic applies).

The reason you cannot activate it is because NO Google phones are supported by Cosmote yet. But I'm guessing you already knew this. This has to come from the carrier side.

Yes I already knew that but I had in the past, mobiles that wasn't provisioned from Cosmote but when I was contacting them they had turned on the service, of the volte and vowifi and everything was ok models such us OnePlus 5 ,5t , le eco le max 2. They had also turned on the service for the pixel 4 xl but nothing changed the switches are still greyed out.
Just got my Pixel yesterday, noticed that I don't have any sign of 5G connection even if I have everything activated on my sim and used 5g in my area with a Huawei P40 Pro....
I noticed, when I accessed the *#*#4636#*#* menu that it shows my sim card as sim2. I know that on second sim there's no 5g and I wonder if that's the problem. If it is, is there a way I can solve it and make the phone see my sim (physical, and my only sim) as sim 1?

Nope, I don't have both SIM activated. I only have a physical SIM that's in the phone, no Esim and still, it shows it's SIM 2. That's why I asked if I could reset or something and make the only sim I use SIM1, I suspect it has something to do with the phone keeping 5G off for it.
Hello balenax
I have the same issue I am based in Kuwait. They told me that my carrier needs to do some configurations with the manufacturer (Google) and then google will enable it with a software update. The physical sim I installed says Sim 2 similar to yours and once I tell it to use NR only the Network goes away instantly. I will play with 2nd sim and tell you if something happens. Please do update me if you try something

Yes, I think it's similar to OnePlus 8, the 5G connecting is enabled only for some carriers. It's a matter of time (hopefully) but I'm afraid they won't do that for unsupported countries (I'm from Romania and Pixel is not sold here officially).
Our best bet is root and edit the carrier policy files, just as on OnePlus.
I'm not that eager to do that, I'll wait for a while and see, maybe it will be solved by Google and operators.

Yes it's the same for all 5g Androids and unsupported countries, unfortunately. It is really frustrating since the bands are supported. Only Samsung, Apple, and Huawei devices are supported everywhere since they make deals with everyone. I hope this 5g mess gets fixed soon. I am not a fan of rooting my Pixel. I am hoping it will be fixed by beg on Next Year. I just tried installing an esim but it shows up as sim 3 so there seems to be something blocking the use of sim 1. It would be interesting if someone with 5g working to give us a screenshot of the Phone info I suspect that they will be on Sim 1 . If yes is it region locked!

ok i just quickly checked several utube videos and i see “global” device have VoLtE icon.
So I guess with global rom it will be fix bro
I have the Chinese variant of the Mi 11 Ultra and by default, I was unable to see the options to enable VoLTE and VoWifi.
If you enter the following codes into the dialer, it should work:
VoLTE *#*#86583#*#*
VoWiFi/WLAN *#*#869434#*#*
These codes disable/enable carrier compatibility check. Then go into Sim Card and enable VoLTE or VoWifi.
Since VoLTE is required for RCS in Google Messages to work, enabling this also allowed for 'Chat Features' to be ready on my phone.
Quick note: I am in Canada on the Virgin Mobile Canada network.
I did this but the icons never came up.

Even I face same problem I'm using boost sim ,I've enquares the Carrier but they said they support vote , I'm not able to get volte working in my device
Same issue. Got the Chinese variant of the Mi 11 Ultra, running 12.5.12 EU ROM and I'm on Boost (Australia). I've done all the dialler codes and still no VoLTE icon. Calls drop to 3G.
i've done a deep search regarding VOLTE on Telstra in Australia as I am facing this issue too, and I found out the following result:
This issue happened because Telstra did not share its network settings with a few companies, Xiaomi, Oneplus, and others.
On a different thread on Oneplus section, there is a way to fix it that requires root, so we add Telstra settings manually, but whenever a tiny update shows up, then we'll need to repeat it. a restart won't affect it, just an update because it replaces modified network settings file with original one.
so to summarise it, unless a software update with the new settings come up, then it won't work.
And btw, the VOLTE is working on MIUI first version of 12, and MIUI 11. but after the update, settings lost. and this is not an issue with MI 11 ultra, it is with all xiaomi and oneplus devices and a few others.
Do not waste your time on it, and just cope with what we got and be patient.

i've done a deep search regarding VOLTE on Telstra in Australia as I am facing this issue too, and I found out the following result:
This issue happened because Telstra did not share its network settings with a few companies, Xiaomi, Oneplus, and others.

Thanks for this information, sincerely appreciated. My only concern is Telstra turning off their 3G network by June 2024. Let's hope the issue is solved before then. Fortunately my call quality is completely fine without VoLTE at the moment as reception is good. I'm sure other providers will start turning off 3G too. A very odd issue and I'm really surprised it hasn't been fixed.
Did any one manage to find a solution ?
Any solution yet to make volte and vowifi work on Telstra and boost Australia? Thanks
I recently bought OnePlus 10 Pro (OxygenOS) [NE2215]
It's a solid and great phone
But I have no idea how can i enable voLTE
When i receive a call network switch to 3G!
voLTE is working great on My Xiaomi Mi A2 but not on my OnePlus 10 Pro
How can i enable voLTE ?

Yes, definitely it does
If i eject the sim and put it in my Xiaomi Mi A2 i can use voLTE
That's not what I asked. It doesn't matter if it works on mi2 or not. Did you check with your carrier if they support this phone?
Just because the phone has the bands, it doesn't mean your carrier will allow the bands to connect to their network.

I just asked from my carrier and they said we fully support VoLTE and it's enabled in my area and i should enable it from settings but i don't have any active VoLTE option in my settings to enable it!
Originally my phone is NE2210 (ColorOS) which is converted to NE2215 (OxygenOS) by reseller.
I have no idea how can i use VoLTE with my OnePlus 10 Pro
I have the identical problem with my Xiaomi 11T pro. As soon as I make a call my phone connects to "even worse" 2G ( E or H) so I can't use data at all. While the simcard works perfectly in other phone, not in Xiaomi. And I want to buy OnePlus 10 Pro but I have the same fear that 4G or 5G won't work while on the call

must be a oneplus software issue. VoLTE works for me, but VoWiFi doesn't, even though both worked on my 8T.

No. the app/setting to change that isn't available since the 9RT.
You can try the app "Samsung Band Selection" and in there go to "More Network Settings." That opens up the VoLTE/VoWiFi and which network to prefer settings on my NE2215 OP10Pro A.15.
I've been able to force NR tower connection this way to always have 5G. Although, mine isn't a converted NE2210.

Logged in just to tell you the volte option is in the Sim settings. Go to settings > mobile network then click on your sim card on top left. Hopefully this helps you out. I have attached screenshots for visual aide.

So basically NE2215 Only support US carriers for VoLTE
I hope that i can use VoLTE by some custom ROMs in future
This is the last chance for me
If you are brave and do enough research, you can try converting to NE2213, I believe that is EU version. You may have more luck. But I don't think it will help with the bands, I believe those are "hard-coded" from your base model of NE1115. (Thought you were a converted model at first, which leads to more issues.)
I may be wrong though, just trying to provide ideas.
And here's that screenshot of what it looks like for me. Note that you can also change 5G mode in settings to either SA + NSA or straight SA. I can't make calls if I choose straight SA.
It sounds like your issue is more related to your carrier, but I figured I'd share all I've figured out on this topic about this phone, just in case it may help you or someone else.

How can i find full fastboot ROM for NE2213 ?
I should do it with fastboot by unlocking bootloader first or using OnePlus local updater app?

Hello. Can you tell me how you converted NE2215 to 2213, which link you used to download 2213 ROM?
