Ok, i see. You have a global firmware and it looks like the Netflix issue found in the previous android version is still present in Q.
I'm not using android 10 yet. Wait for a fix from MIUI or try a custom rom !

If you want to use Android 10 with Widevine L1 working. I suggest using a custom rom, I am using a crDroid official rom on my Mi 9 Lite. It works perfectly, SafetyNet is passed and I have Widevine L1. As you can see here with Netflix.

If you have not flash to the PERSIST section, there is no problem. If the installation is done, there is no ROM use l1

Did you relocked bootloader again? I think it is mandatory on Global/EEA rom to have L1.

yes i locked again but l3

Official Global ROM

I have not tested it yet, but the official global ROM from 9/21 is apparently here.
http://bigota.d.miui.com/7.9.21/miui_MIMIX2Global_7.9.21_7f94ca393f_7.1.zip
This is not the fastboot version, but the regular 'updater' version. According to some users on the miui forums, it wasn't possible to install, but if anyone wants to try they're welcome to.
http://en.miui.com/thread-928181-1-1.html
I will be working to make a fastboot version of this. Really, it shouldn't be too hard to use sdat2img on the system.new.dat file, then fastboot flash everything from the firmware-update folder.
Update: I was able to flash it with fastboot.
Just use sdat2img on the system.new.dat and system.transfer.list files like this:
python sdat2img.py system.transfer.list system.new.dat system.img
Then flash the system.img, the boot.img, and all of the partitions in the firmware-update folder, using a flash_all script for reference.
It booted up fine. More details to come.
Thoughts after booting (will continue to update):
Many languages are supported, but only able to choose China as the region.
Comes with lots of google apps. Gmail, maps, youtube, drive, play music, play movies, photos, chrome, Duo.
Security patch is 2017-08-01. MIUI version is MIUI 9 Global 7.9.21 | Beta. No updates found in system update.
Fails SafetyNet at CTS profile match.
Overall: I think it's not necessary to install this one. It has the same bugs and issues as all of the other roms, but fails safetynet as well. The best choice is still EU rom.

This was from the India launch event. Hopefully it gets posted soon.
Global rom has been properly released now: http://en.miui.com/download-334.html#491
Can i install the global rom without unlocking the bootloader?
Global ROM is officially released. Here is the link and instructions to install. Shouldn't need bootloader unlock.

Doesn't work for me, says "Can't verify update. Other reason".
You need the Fastboot rom from here: http://update.miui.com/updates/v1/fullromdownload.php?d=chiron_global&b=F&r=global&n= and to flash the rom with this http://api.en.miui.com/url/MiFlashTool
You need an unlocked bootloader too iirc.
Sorry Please use VPN Chinese server in order to unlock bootloader using the MI unlock tool. Then flash ROM using MI flash tool.

This version 100% doesn't need an unlocked bootloader for the Mi Mix 2, I'm not sure if the older version didn't work or not but this one does. I can't unlock my bootloader through Xiaomi until 3pm tomorrow UK time (72 hour wait) but I flashed the Global ROM today with no issues

if your phone has been unlocked, you can use the fastboot ROM with xiaomi flash tool to do firmware switch, this way allow you pick more region you like like US.

Hello, it's a common issue, you have to flash the persist.img file that is included in the fastboot ROM
You need to flash it via TWRP because the file is write protected via ADB

As Widevine L1 is a key to unlock advanced features in commercial video streaming it might just not be that simple to restore the protected key when it has been corrupted or deleted. The whole point with it is to protect from use of the advanced video on hardware where the makers do not pay for it.
So, restoring might have to be done at a service point.

if you can help regarding this problem!

App's crashes on any ROM and random reboots.

Hello everyone, is someone faced such problem after flash and lock bootloader with MI FLASH. I bought my phone from my friend in used condition but it just like new, it was on miui 10 and with unlocked bootloader. I get an update of 10's after that to 11 and all worked like charm. But i decided to flash and lock the bootloader and it was my epic fail. After that neither the phone works properly nor the OTA updates are installing properly on stock miui . I downgraded the phone to 10 for properly OTA update but it doesn't matter, its still don't updating and randomly rebooting with message "find device closed unexpectedly". Please if someone faced this problem can you help me to figure out.:crying::crying:
Why don't you unlock bootloader again and try to to flash latest official fastboot rom (12.0.1.0 EEA for example) with mi flash tool?
And if it still shows "find device closed unexpectedly" after that, you could try to flash persist.img again from an old backup. If you don't have backup, you can extract persist.img from official rom (.zip version). But be aware that you can lose widevine L1 if you do so.
I'm not an expert, but i had a similar problem on my redmi note 7. Lost Widevine L1 forever, but at least phone worked again.

Question Can stock zips be flashed with mi 11 twrp?

Just wondering if the stock zips can be flashed with twrp?
I tried numerous stock zips and the ROM flashes successfully with no errors, xiaomiflashtool V2 is also successful, however when the phone boots no matter which stock ROM succeeds, Xiaomi.eu is the ROM that boots.
I don't want to use mi-flash, my phone is eea(Vodafone) and I'm trying to flash eea global, when switching with mi flash it activates ARB and bricks the phone. I know it does because I have already done so and got a replacement from Vodafone.
Any help to flash a stock ROM would be appreciated, I'm stuck with xiaomi.eu as it stands.
Cheers.

Mine doesn't fail though, it succeeds. Well shows it succeeds but boots to xiaomi.eu each time.
Xiaomiflashtool V2 also succeeds with the stock ROM , but same outcome is present, xiaomi.eu boots each time.

Hi you can, but you need the bl unlocked, also with china phones you might need root for gpay, banking fp etc.... with the bootloader unlocked these things may or not work, however on Chinese phones the bl must remain always open on a custom rom, otherwise the phone will brick.

Question Need help with root... 🙌 Update... Part 2...

1. Yes and it takes 168 hours to complete and ends with a format. Use official mi unlock tool.
2. There is only one custom ROM. It is the Xiaomi EU ROM and available on that forum or via mifirm.net
3. Safetynet will not pass while on a rooted ROM. Unless you use magisk. My question is why do you need root? The Xiaomi EU ROM passes safteynet and all you banks, gpay etc work fine without root. There is no working twrp on A12, all A12 updates on Xiaomi EU ROM are fastboot.
4. Plenty of guides in this or the Xiaomi EU forum for 11 Ultra but obviously there is always risk in flashing but even when bricked, these can be brought back to life with the help of anyone with an edl account.

Awesome, thank you kindly for that great reply,
2) is that custom Rom any better than stock or has some sort of advantage over stock? Extra features, programs, tweeks...?
This custom rom come pre-rooted?
3) i don't need root for anything in particular, I've always had root on every single Android I've ever owned, once in a blue moon it comes in handy, i do plan on using magisk,
- from memory mine came with Android 11 Global, will twrp work on that?

2. We call it "custom" but it just stock miui China rom of 11U with some mod for working in global area
As u know if u unlock phone, some app will not work normally (like banking, Google pay, Netflix...) they already fix almost all of the problem like that. And every default app can be uninstall easily (but xiaomi already have the way to uninstall thêm too).
And it isn't pre-rooted
3. If u dont want to do anything with root, i recommend u to stay away from it.

with me, i just need twrp when i want to use xiaomi.eu rom, they usually realease recovery zip file for update rom. But now still no working twrp with A12, so they realease fastboot rom, and i dont want to use xiaomi.eu rom anymore so i dont care about twrp
yes. u can always comeback to stock with flash fastboot rom (or recovery rom with working twrp)
i prefer fastboot rom because i just think it's cleaner than recovery (LOL)
And with fastboot method, u can relock bootloader if u want, just need to carefully pick the right rom of your phone original. (eg: global unit can only relock using global rom, eea with eea rom, CN with CN rom)

I will never use that rom, because it isn't official
If I want custom rom, i will go for xiaomi.eu
And here i talk about official fastboot rom, thanks
You're misinformed.
They offer the official rom, all they do is to pack it in a fastboot installer.
Again, official rom, repacked. I'd advise a fact check because you are active in answering people, but your knowledge is obviously partial.

I only trust what i think i can trust, not just few online random people
And dont judge people because u think u are better
ok, device is rooted... THANK YOU!
If I unlock and root my phone, it's possible rollback all to the original status? Turn back locked and unrooted? Or maybe just unroot?
