Backup LG V40 - LG V40 Questions & Answers

Hi friends. Is it possible to back up sw of the whole phone? Are there other ways than Lgup dump?
Lgup dump tells me some mistakes ....
I am especially interested in how to backup the NV section
I would like to know something about a / b phones ... It's my first

Yes as Soluex mentioned, use bkerler python based for full backup. Qfil does do NV backup but only if it's Oreo, I'm pretty sure that's one stipulation.
the most important partitions to backup (re serial no and imei) are ftm, fsg, modem, modemst1 modemst2. For booting would be boot, laf, abl and dtbo.
cheers

"Trying to flash" , what exactly did you flash ?
How do you flash it ?
Why dont you flash TWRP followed by ROM of any choice ?
NV normally contained in EFS partition, which can be backed up and flash from TWRP and QPST.
But again, your description is far from clear for us to help you.

When you flash using TWRP, did you actually managed to boot into system ? Or it stuck in recovery ?
Where did the nv corrupted notification appear when u were using TWRP ?
Prior to facing this issue, what you actually did ? I mean, did this phone work before ? Before you start getting this error, what you did, what you install, what you flash, what you delete ? Or did it just suddenly happen with nothing modified ?

You gonna need to ask someone to backup their QCN, take out the imei info, give it to you, and flash it using QPST.

I can't use qpst, because I can't activate usbdebug and the diag port.
Is it possible to give me a hand?

This is absolutely not a issue, that requires using Qpst
You simply need to wipe data and follow the on screen prompts. (You will lose all data on your phone.) However the phone will work again.

Sorry that you are having these issues, But my comment was based on the photo that was posted on the OP. Typically formatting is the resolution. If you no longer have that screen available, you should contact an authorised repair center to fix it for you.
Otherwise If the phone is bound to your account, you could try what is listed here: https://www.mobilerdx.com/2019/02/xiaomi-mi-8-test-point-boot-xiaomi-mi-8-into-edl-9008-mode.html
Scams or Actual Fixes?
I have recently read about supposed hacks that according to a couple of Chinese BBS sites, has worked for some that require buying a specialised Jtag programming tool which cost about $60, that you use along with altered versions of following files: prog_emmc_firehose_8909.mbn.elf, mi8 persist image, rawprogram0, frp and a patch file. All of which that can all be obtained from here: https://romprovider.com/2019/09/mi-account-remove-xiaomi/ ( UMT Download)
Supposedly Chimera is another option: https://chimeratool.com/en/docs Again I have not used any of these tools with the mi8, I am merely sharing what I read about recently.
By the time you have spent the money acquiring the tools, it seems that you are better off just mailing the phone off to be repaired by an official repair center. Here is a web page that provides a list of official repair centers : https://www.pinoytechnoguide.com/2014/06/xiaomi-service-centers.html
Good Luck and try anything mentioned above at your own risk.
Edit: Have you tried the Flashall.bat method?
That should work since you are seeing the com port.

Hello, thank you for your answer, the mother is not linked to my account I disconnected to do the experiments. in my country i don't have a xiaomi assistance center, i get the error missmatching image and device.
There is no other way to unbrick without buying these tools so expensive that you mentioned

You need backup EFS and Modem via TWRP first(better with OrangeFox). After you need Magisk first and some manipulation with QCN file via QPST. I will write it later

Erased EFS partition / No IMEI / No Mobile Service from running fastboot erase modem

Hello,
I'm in quite the panic, as this is my daily driver.
It has been about 6 years since I have been on the XDA scene, and boy do I feel silly. I made the cardinal sin of not making back ups and plunging into a exciting tutorial on here to enable voLTE on my ROG 2. At some point the requested commands were executed as per the thread:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2

Since this point, my phone has been completely without service, and after nearly 12 hours of trying numerous fixes, I ask for help of the kind users of XDA once again.
My phone does have the boot loader unlocked, and is rooted. I have tried nearly every IMEI and EFS restore option on here, and even went as far as trying similar QCN and EFS flashes of other phones with the same chipset to no avail.
I believe at this point I need a kind user to upload their EFS partitions, or QCN backups (of course with their information masked) so I may flash my phone and edit my IMEI in the image. Or if anyone else knows of a better method im all ears.
Thank you all in advanced.
i guess someone earlier had a similar issue and was provided with the QCN file.

Question How to repaire IMEI on Realme 8 (RMX3085 rooted)?

Hello,
Hello
While rotating, I dumped the entire system.
Eventually I bought a second phone and made a copy of the system (mtkclient).
After completing the system, the phone fired and I managed to root it, but GSM does not work (no IMEI)
How to restore IMEI? someone will suggest?
if you not made backup -
IMEI: seen in opporeserve2
ICCID1: seen in nvdata
serial: seen in nvram nvdata expdb
MAC(wifi+BT): seen in nvdata nvram proinfo
additionaly suggested: opporeserve1+ opporeserve3 +expdb +frp +md1img +cdt_engineering
then may be problematic ...
if all already lost and nothing more to backup - can try

I think you are right about the signature here.
I made a full clone from a second identical phone and it didn't take IMEI.
I read from the Internet that the DownloadTool_RCSM tool (included with the stock rom) fixes the problem with IMEI, but after launching it requires authorization. Anyone found a solution to bypass the authorization of DownloadTool_RCSM for RMX3085?

You should never have to use the option to Format All through SP Flash tool, rarely you need that. I guess you have a nandroid backup, so restore it.
I didn't have the nandroid backup... Isn't there any work around?

Even after try all the methods, things can be lost in the way, sorry.
The option to format all+download is exclusive of use to engineers.
Although this said, you should keep trying. For the maui meta part, instead, you should try with modem meta, it´s not necessary to have an engineer ROM in order to get it working, in some builds, entering to meta mode is as easy like commanding adb reboot meta
For some reference, you can learn from this forum, read all the pages, https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/redmi-note-9-imei-invalid-null.4241945/
Thank you very much... Let me give it a try.. I hope it works. This time with modem meta... I really appreciate your effort in helping me out.
