GPS Discovers

First, sorry about my english, I'm a Spanish boy (from www.htcmania.com forum) who thinks that had discovered the reason why 1800mha chinnese batterys doesn't work with GPS.
Make a test.
Start tomtom or similar program and when you got satellites, put off the back of the diamond. Suddenly, GPS reception gets out.
This is, I think after make some tests, because at the back of the diamond (not in the cover) it has two light sensors that when detect light automatically turn off the GPS antenna and makes tomtom not able to get satellites coverture.
I think that this it should be in the most important forum about Diamond to be able to argue about it.

EN la parte trasera destapada, son dos circulos con unas letras que parece poner VOD, uno esta al lado de la camara, y el otro en la parte inferior izquierda.

Ponle fotos marcando esos sensores ayudará mucho. Por cierto tu inglés es de alto nivel no te tienes pq excusar

no tengo ninguna camara para hacer una foto a la parte trasera de la diamond, si alguien es tan amable de colgar una foto de la parte de atras os enseño donde estan.

Anyway...there's no light sensor on the back of the device...Those VOID stickers are covering holes which have screws underneath, so that if you damage those stickers to remove the screws, you'll loose warranty...
Also, I've spoken with HTC support, and they told me that the about those batteries, is that they produce some kind of electromagnetic interference, which cause the loss of signal...it's as simple as this...

That is what they have told tou you, and the reason is to sell more original batteries.
Tray that, using tomtom uncover the back of the diamond and see what hapen. Then do the same but without lights in the room. Obviusly, it has to be an light sensor, can not be what I thought, but there is for sure.

Yes, you have reason, but the sensor is there, I don't know where. Do that test, open tomtom and when is connected, pull off the back cover, coverage will disapear, but if you do that in a room without light, does not happen .

this is utter rubbish! i opened iGo8 and when i had GPS signal i took the cover off and i STILL had signal, i kept the cover off for 10 minits and NOTHING happened!!

Only happens with tomtom? wtf?

So... I decided to test by myself...
1) have the GPS fix and then remove cover
-> GPS reception becomes bad (half of previous values) and fix is gone in seconds
2) leave the cover removed and cover with hand
-> GPS reception comes back to previous values !!!
3) remove hand :
-> GPS reception becomes bad (half of previous values)
4) cover with a cloth :
-> GPS reception is still bad
So this may not be a light sensor but an electromagnetic interference is possible (and that's what HTC says) because there is metal in the cover and human body can makes such interference...
BTW : I tested and obtained the same results with TomTom 7 and Igo8 so this is NOT TT7 specific

Did you tried without cover or nothing with lights off?? In my case GPS reception becomes good!!

Sorry but light off or on without cover shows the same reception values for me...
Tested also with Copilot 7 and Sygic : same results... So IMHO we can exclude software specific issue and hypothetical light sensor too...

Mi espanto es que pasara lo mismo que en el partido anterior. El problema con nuestra selecc no parece ser tanto armar las jugadas sino darle al balón la última patada aparte como que hay mucho sentimiento en todo ésto. Si les meten un gol se awitan y todo chafea, si meten un gol se sienten los reyes del mundo y juegan como tales

Cambiare codice imei a un iphone

ciao a tutti sono nuovo nel forum e un dilettante di elettronica,oggi vi posto questo messaggio per conto di un mio amico. "salve a tutti,Tempo fa ho comprato un iphone 5 di seconda mano su internet solo che come l ho accesso mi sono accorto che aveva il trova il mio iphone attivo con un account iCloud sconosciuto e che chiaramente non apparteneva al proprietario visto che era una persona completamente diversa. la mia paura di avere tra le mani un cellulare rubato fu confermata quando dopo l acquisto il venditore è scomparso cancellando il suo account.
ora io voglio sapere se ESISTE QUALCHE MODO PER MODIFICARE IL CODICE IMEI in modo da renderlo non rintracciabile E PERMETTERE COSì l'UTILIZZO?
Ho sentito anche di gente che l ha portato in android per cambiare l imei poichè l'operazione è impossibile per ios ma fattibile per gli mtk android in quanto usano spesso processori differenti
Quindi vi chiedo anche se è possibile portare l iphone 5 con ios 7 ad android per cambiare l imei ?
Non ho nessuna intenzione di restituirlo al proprietario e invito i possibili moralisti ad astenersi"

First, this is not an iphone forum. Second, changing IMEI is illegal and asking how-to is completely against our rules.

Question Did anyone manage to boost the performance of this device?

I'm considering this phone but the SD680 performance seems too low so I've been wondering if someone managed to boost it with some custom rom/ other stuff (I know this sounds vague but im not sure if this is even possible or how to do it if it is so I asked here)
I'm aware there's a model with helio G96 but its alot more expensive here

I've Installed Pixel Experience GSI, now using Pixel Plus UI, and I do see a better performance than MIUI. The ram management is also way better. No app closing after leaving a while or even switching between apps. Maybe the battery drops just tiny bit more than MIUI but hey, the CPU never throttles after a call with these roms

Yes but Xiaomi didn't release Note 11 Series kernels yet so im not sure if thats possible, will it improve performance enough tho? Im considering the phone for playing genshin and watching stuff (the amoled screen sounds nice)

bruhhh ,gpu is fine but genshin is cpu bound game and this phone have really weak single core performance

I bought this for Media watching, because of Amoled, but disappointed. No HDR in netflix or Youtube and Prime. X265 movies Stutter and lag. Only good thing is Social media browsing because of 14 hours of Screen Time.

The display supports but processor can't handle HDR in 1080p.

you can disable thermald to prevent stutter but it get very hot

You can root and install cpu tweaker apps like 3C cpu manager and put your cpu clocks to maximum and set governer to performance that would give you some more speed that normal note 11 device but beware it will drain your battery faster and will be mildly hotter than normal stock roms.
