Mi 9 wireless charging not working - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hi.
Today my wireless charging stopped working.
When I put phone on my wireless charger(s) all I get is flashing led on charger to show some king of error. Nothing from the phone.
Tried on 5 different chargers, all of them charging same phone without problems until today.
Any advice?

The same
Did you find the answer? I have the same. The pad is ok, checked with 2 if them. Maybe it's software problem?

Changed charging coil in phone and no change.
I have charging board on order and will see if that helps when I get it.

Are you using the original charger that came with the device?
I have this problem with one of our non-original chargers. The screen does not respond as normal. Can't answer calls etc.
Try a different charger, original if possible. If it is the original one for sure then you may have something faulty with the pins, cable etc. If you don't have spare, ask around as the microusb chargers are pretty common these days and I'm sure someone won;t mind you testing to see if it is that.
Failing that, it might be your actual pin connections perhaps... make sure it's nice and clean in there.

I agree that this definitely sounds like a hardware problem. Does it do the same when you trickle charge the phone from the PC?

[Q] Continue charging after reboot?

Hello!
This is something that always bugged me since I got this phone, but I don't know if its just me, or is it Samsung related.
After connecting the charger and phone starts charging, if I reboot it, the phone turns back on without continuing charging.
I have tried this multiple times. I also tried starting to charge when phone is off then turning it on - same symptom, phone doesn't continue charging.
Of course if I disconnect and reconnect the charge continues.
I am using CoCore 5.6.2 + Pure Vanilla Rom (JB LQB).
So, is this a Samsung bug, or is it something on my part?
Thanks...

Is there any fix for this? app? script?
As of yet... no.
I never faced such a bug. If you want to troubleshoot, get a dmesg
I do not respond to tech support via PM

Hey shaan,
Isn't a dmesg just after a kernel crash?
How can I get it?
Code:
su dmesg >/mnt/sdcard/dmesg.txt
Edit:
Attached to this message is my dmesg.
I connected the power cable, made a reset and printed out the above dmesg.

It's there a way for me to decrypt what the dmesg output means?

So I seem to have found a certain scenario where I do get the charge.
My Samsung charger is a 500 mah. When my phone was connected to my car charger which is a 1000 mah and I did a reboot, this time they phone kept charging.
So anyone why this is? Fixable?

Sadly no.
As I said I found that with my car charger of 1A the phone continues to charge after reboot.
Since I don't have a 1A wall charger, I couldn't test my theory.
All I do now, is pray that the phone doesn't reboot while I'm aslep or otherwise my alarm might not go off
Don't know why this happens, and apparently no one knows

[Q] can't charge when phone on power

Is somebody know why my phone can't be charge why the power is on?
The charging indicator is shown but the battery decrease itself
Is there a problem with my problem or what?
Already try reflashing rom and factory reset but none of that is working

Are you using a original charger ?
I used to have this problem at times, try removing the battery for a while and then use it. Mostly using a different charger solved the issue for me.

Slow charging problem

My Huawei has a problem charging the battery, charging time is too long. He needs two hours to fill from 50% to 65% ?????? Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
How are you charging it? via a computer? What kind of charger do you use if you don't use a computer? The stock one that comes with the device or a different one?
Have you tried using a different charger for the phone?
I've never had any problems with charging my huawei ascend p7 and I'm using the stock charger that came with the device.
Also charging from my laptop seems to work fine for me.
Also, are you using a custom ROM?

the problem isn't your phone but same as you, i think the problem is in lollipop firmware, i have tested them, and now i reverted back to b623
other issue is the phone over heating when playing audio and video

I tried with a stronger charger and charge the battery quickly ....
I use samsung charger from very beginning, since from few days I'm facing this late charging problem
Hey, I got the same problem now. I do the same as alway (= same charger, cable, the same apps using, same android version, etc.) and now it got very slow charging unreasonably. I tried to change chargers, cables, plugs, but the same story appears.
to charge 1% up takes more than 3 -4minutes, before it was 50% less time...

Not able to charge, connect to computer or even boot to edl via via point

Hi Guys,
So I have been using information on XDA for a number of years but only now encountered a problem that I have to start this thread.
My A2 sunning stock Pie, it wont charge, I cant connect to the computer to unlock BL and flash Oreo and I have today tried to boot to EDL via testing point.
Nothing, nothing works, I can get some power in it slowly but the charge keep turning off, I would presume that cause it starts to charge it wouldnt be the data cable at fault.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea's for this one?
Many thanks in advance
Yes I have exact same problem I have found no solution if you find one please let me know

Happening since your Pie update?
Try another charger. It worked for me.
Most likely Xiaomi's original charger is not able to supply the proper mA to charge the phone.
I installed AccuBattery to check the current charge's mA and sometime is ok (over 1600) but others is not sending any current.
Also, sometimes original charger works fine after 3 or 4 retries.
There's a slightly chance that this could be a software issue after latest February Android Pie update.
