Hi there.. I trying to test does EEA or Global have better battery life..
With latest global i have this
1day 12hours
SOT 4h 19h
battery left 32%
And now i am in latest EEA.
This is taking more battery i t think..
but dont know why/how?
Any tips or what you think?
Results.. EEA is eating battery lot lot more..
Need change back to global...

Really? I am on eea now and the battery drain is normal! But i never try the global rom ! I unlock the bootloader and try some roms like xiaomi.eu and aosp based roms! I didn't liked and i come back to eea rom! Maybe i will try these days global version to see if the battery drain is better!:highfive:
After made some debloat it's pretty normal. I recommend disable Digital Wellbeing and Device Health Services helps a lot in the battery life (idle drain especially) on EEA.

I bought mi 8 new a week ago I installed directly miui 10 stable EU
Bttery drain is very fast I can get maximum 3- 4 hour of screen on time, I already give 15 charge cycles
Is my unit battery broken or miui 10 stable eu to have battery drain? Didn't had time to try another version yet
I think that the rom is not that good, on 8.9.13 Android P I get 6 hours of SOT

Something wrong with you. Reinstall may help you. I got 6 hours approx. with Eu 10 stable.
its so early to Miui 10 for me. I get 8 hours everyday with 9.6.7 Global Stable.
Maybe I got a broken battery..
In my case . I can get like 14 hour or more SOT . With battery saving obviously . Use chrome youtube whatsapp and instagram . Some game too . But not too much .

Guys i got problem with battery.
Since last update on 10.0.5
I got big drain of CELL STANDBY
Battery is awfull now
Factory reset fix most of the problems.
Make a clean install of a stable version.

Xiaomi EU 8.8.30 .
I just tested Mi 8 miui 10 10.0.5.0 vs Oneplus 5 8.1, same game, same britghness, only wireless and the game Pokemon GO, 100% to 0%
Mi8 using dual GPS of course and Oneplus with normal GPS.
Oneplus 5 with 1.4 years of use vs Brand New Mi 8 got it 1 week ago.
Oneplus 5 - 4hrs
Mi 8 - 4:15hrs
For a smartphone new against one with more than 1 year of intense use, the battery of Oneplus 5 is holding like new
I just played pokemon go without stopping, i stopped every other app in background on Mi8 and Oneplus 5.
Hope xiaomi release an update to fix the battery drain!

Hi guys I've updated yesterday to miui 10 global stable. It seems to drain so much battery than miui 9. What should I do? Factory reset? I read that now it's no possible go back and flash a previously rom. Thanks

Hi, maybe I've youre same problem. After upgrading to miui 10 my battery drains so fast. And also we cannot go back because to the anti rollback protection. I'm furious. Today I'll do a factory reset and I hope it will be useful. This anti rollback is a f###ing joke

Same for me, it's a bug in 10.0.5.0 stable CN miui10.
Although after factory reset i also have cell standby but battery lasts lot longer
Check attachment for me battery is good but screen on time doesnt seem that long

As described in the Title the battery life on my Mi 8 is very poor. From the beginning it really wasnt that good and I could not understand how people could say it has really great battery life. Now as it gets older and the Battery degrades, it has become worse and i cannot even get trough the day.
AccuBattery says SOT of 3:20 and a battery capacity of 89%
Any suggestions how to improve Battery?

Install a custom rom
I would recommend you install revolution os based on last version of miui 10
Clean flash this version

Well, I had similar problems on MIUI. First try to flash a custom kernel which gives you some tweaks, performance and battery update. If the battery is still very bad go to AOSP ROMs
Is there any custom rom for redmi note 10 pro with good battery life ?
Most ROMs with a custom kernel will do. I'm now on the latest LOS from grewal, the non-OSS, with the stormbreaker V2 on top and get good battery life and obviously no DS issue.
For me the same! Grewals LineageOS 18.1 and battery life is excellent!
Pixel exp got me 8.5 hours sot 120hz
I´m actually on latest CherishOS Build and Battery Backup is really nice

I'm using CherishOS. Dark mode and battery saver enable.
ArrowOS any friggin day. FLAWLESS with the custom vendor. Even better than stock.
I believe all ROM's currently have DS issue.. Unless Stormbreaker kernel is used, idle drain is high.

agree that, but recently used ShapeShift and it's the best at deep sleep state in my opinion. even compared with stock MIUI.

I'll just tell you the point of it.
deep sleep is CPU behavior when your phone in the idle state and will set it to the lowest possible frequency with some of cores are turned off.
it's the way to save your battery when you're not use your phone.

With global I never got more than 6-7hrs with 80%. Nearly same with Xiaomi.eu. Both in Darkmode and energy saver...
What are you doing on your screen to reach 9+ hrs?

Hi, I have purchased a new Redmi note 10 pro but the battery seems to be draining relatively fast. I am on MiUi 13.0.3.0 update. There are some screenshots attached of the battery page. Also I was able to find the Actual Battery Capacity: 4997 mah. Can anyone please confirm that this is normal or not?
What is the over night battery drain percentage? And how much screen on time do you get in one full charge (100%-0%).
I bought a new device 4 days back. I'm on the latest miui 13. I checked on accubattery and saw the actual capacity to be 4700 but that app has been notorious for incorrect measurements.
1. I'd like to know what app you are using to get the actual capacity
2. I can't say how much your drain is from the SS. I can tell my experience. Im getting around 7-8 SOT % with 120hz. Overnight drain is under 3-4% max. I have debloated the OS as well so that might help as well.

Over night battery dain is 2-3% at Max I have manually disabled apps from running in the background. As of the SOT I am getting around 7-8 hrs (100%-10%) 120HZ
The only things to do are debloat Miui 13

I am using Activity Launcher. Battery and performance >> .ui.powertools.PowerTools.activity >> battery life.

I really expect 5-6-7 hours from this phone considering battery is 5000mAh and that alot of options are off.

Check app autostart and app battery saver level, screen resolution, FHD+/WQHD+, lower frequency to 90Hz or 60Hz.
After making the settings, if necessary, wait 48 hours to see the result.
Do a factory reset if nothing changes.
Or install a Xiaomi EU rom Weekly Miui 14 A13.
On my 12 pro, switching to A13 increased battery life.

If more SOT/battery runtime is your priority, consider changing to custom ROM.
I can get a whole day use from full charge , about 8-9 hours SOT @ 60hz. Even 10 hours is possible.
