Anyone from Norway who would find it interesting to help start up a Norwegian windows mobile / compact framework developer community? If we are a small community we should meet, we should get together and talk about how things work, how to make it better and set ut user group meetings where we invite interesting people to talk mobile technology and trends..
I've written a short blogpost on the topic and please contact me if you find it interesting.
Hi guys,
first of all apologies for advertising this little software I wrote on these pages. If it isnt allowed, mods please remove this.
I have recently published a little app I wrote. Name is TellyZap and you can find it on the market in two flavours: a Lite version and a Pro version.
heres the Lite version:
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-chipset-tellyzap_lite-xtxq.aspx
and the Pro:
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-chipset-tellyzap_pro-xtxj.aspx
They both support 67 channels, european channels for the moment, however I thought that with satellite/digital becoming very popular very quick, some europeans could have a use for it too.
TellyZap allows you to view a full programme listing for the 7 days from the date of consultation. Has categories (soap, documentaries, movie etc..) and will give you a description of the program, time, channel etc.
the Lite version is limited to the day of consultation, and will not show the programme description, but only its title and time of airing.
The Pro version allows also to send a programme to one of your contacts in form of an SMS or Email. It also allows you to send your favourite programme to your calendar so you wont miss it !
I hope some of you will try it, and let me know your feedback. If you find any issues/bugs or have requests I will be glad to entertain them, just drop me an email at the address specified in the market, of pm me here.
And if you find it useful, I wont stand in the way of a little contribution for my work.
thanks for reading!

i think i a list of the channels would be interessting to decide wether its useful or not
The list of channels (or at least the part that I could fit in so many characters) is in the description of the app in the market.
Well since your focusing on European guide, I have a suggestion for you, why not intergrate teletext to the channels (If Avail to that channel) That could make a nice feature addition.

Click to collapse
mmmm...thats kind of surprising..
- last time i needed/looked at teletext was probably 7 or 8 years ago.. is it still used? in what circumstances/ what would you use it for?
- at the time teletext was obviously coming via the cable (antenna receiver/whatever connection).. is teletext also available somewhere on the web??
thanks for the feedback.

I've been looking for a good TV guide application for android for quite a while. Unfortunately I don't like the interface currently at all, searching for specific programs on specific channels isn't what I want.
IMO a good TV guide app should have the following features
- Grid view similar to most TV guides (sony's freeview interface is a good example) listing the current programme as well as the upcoming schedule. (example - http://www.blogcdn.com/www.pvrwire.com/media/2007/01/tivo-comcast2.jpg)
- Customizable channel list so I can select which channels to see in the grid view
- Ability to skip many days forward in the gridview, set regular reminders for particular shows or specific reminders for single episodes.
That's what android needs if you ask me, when I want to know whats on a turn on the TV and look through the grid view, what I want to be able to do is the same thing on my phone
Hi! I've been noticing that's appear very hard to figure out what is working on each device, with what downloaded files...
Wouldn't be possible to be created, by you Android Masters (since I don't have any skills ) an application that would collect all that information?
The user would install it, use xdandroid, and could submit anytime a score to that combination. And maybe that application could detect if wifi, bluetooth, etc are working! Or send some precious pre-determined logs.
Is that possible? Wouldn't it be useful?
I guess powerful users do logs and use them somehow for debugging. But regular users that want to contribute may have a hard time helping out. And I'm sure many of us really would like to help but don't now how or have a very hard time doing it correctly...
I guess an app of this kind could speed up development, and maybe with minor changes could be reused for new Android releases.
What do you think?
quite agree with you
Hey guys!
No opinion? Not even one developer to say it's useful or it's dumb?
Hello everyone,
For my senior project of an English class, I have decided to make a very basic app to accompany a website which a previous student created. I want it to be basic but the issue I am having is that I do not understand how to make it so that a person clicks on a button, and it takes them to that url of the website (basically webview in a fullscreen activity for each of the buttons in the tab). I have managed to get a version of this working with the master/detail flow activity but I cannot translate it to work with the navigation drawer activity. I am willing to pay for assistance as I understand everyone has their own lives. I am learning all of this as I go so I do not have a background in this, however, I am very interested in this project and I do not want anyone to just do the work for me. I would just like someone I could ask an occasional question when in need. Thank you for reading.

Hey Guys! Developer of Energy Ring here!
Look forward to add support for iQOO 3! However, I do not own the device to gather some input and work on it, would appreciate if there are any volunteers to help me add support for the device.
