Hello i was thinking to get a P40 Pro .Right now i have P30 Pro but i heard huawei launched a new update for the P40 series . I want to know if you people which have the P40 got the update fast or still huawei it's launching the updates slowly as the P40 it's their newest flagship.Because in my P30 i have to check Hisuite in order to get a update because over OTA says it's up to date.
Don't move to p40 if you are depend on Google apps

I'm from the same region, C432, and still haven't gotten the .121 update yet. Weird

And i have read that there is a screen improvement with the colors balance.

I received the update yesterday, also in Germany.
just looked at my phone and i could see c432, what does that tell us cause i see you guys talking about it.

i think lower detailed fotos nad extra filters for colours has been more agressive than 112...
apparently according to gsm arena, there is 1.26 which makes the color true to life
edit: quick question please, what is the difference between c432 and c636, what do they tell us?

If you want to update via ota you need to wait until it's available. Otherwise, i have no idea yet if we can update manually by flashing or using a huawei certified toolkit. Get the 1st update to Nougat. The 2nd update has the batt issue. I'm still stuck at N 1st update. Lol.
What you did with phone? Debranding or something else? Your c900 mean it's global version of firmware and imo you never get update .

I did nothing with the phone - i bought it with this firmware installed. Possibly the previous owner did something with it
i think you should try debranding this phone
I have this same issue but the bootloader code provided by me from Huawei is incorrect so I cannot debrand.
So i hear here and there for problems and lug with every new firmware.
I went from 115(432) to 127 with firmware finder full ota (2Gb) and the update completed IN A VERY SHORT TIME (1-2 minutes max) and it was catastrophic for the ui experience!!!!
Then with ff again i went back to 115 and stayed there until official release.
The ota was 500mb and take at least 5 minutes to install.
After that my device is smooth like butter and i have no issues at all.

No issues here. Just updated my C636 Mate 10 Pro from 119 to 128 yesterday and have no issues at all. It took maybe as You said 2 minutes maybe 3. Booted ok, no lags for now. All smooth.
All good. If anything it's Huawei... Since FF pulls updates from their public server.
That's why they approve firmware before you can install, in case there's bugs in them. Sometimes they let bugs through as well

My software is 122. I try with FF to install, with proxy trick, the 127 c432 (no brand): the update has gone at 100% without problem but in phone info I read again 122 c55. So, what firmware have I now?? What have I do?

have you practically installed a European firmware on a Tim brand without the various FH etc?
My mate 10 alp-l29 c185 didn't approved update 119-128 in ff.. But if i selected c636 it approved?
So i installed manually from hwmt.ru (same files) to 128c185 without problems.
115-C432 to 127a-C432 with official OTA without issue

Just install the app from play store and it's all inside app. Very straight forward.

Mine Phone are rooted by using firmware finder will it cause unrooted for it??

Just look for the newest version that incorporates your region (c636) in the filename. Ignore the newest 9.0.2 ones as no one can tell which is for which region. You'll probably find newest version is around 9.0.0.16 or 19 ish. And whe you use F you click check availability to check if it's available for your imei

That photo is blank. You have already said what region your device is. So now use firmware finder and the Update By Erecovery method and update to 9.0.0.......whatever. But it must say the same region in the name in firmware finder. And also only use full ota, the large 3gb+ option. No partial ota

Have you tried searching for updates in HiSuite for pc? Also,try using a different SIM card from a different provider for a day and search again for updates with the different SIM inside? Sometimes slow updates are related to the provider.

I've been in touch with Huawei Singapore support and they now tell me that we simply will not receive an OTA update for Pie. Love this camera, but not worth the aggravation. Never again.

I received the update regularly.
Now, I am on 9.0.0.234.
Try update from HiCare or HiSuite.
I have the same model (C636) unlocked/unbranded and I have not received EMUI 9 yet. Last security patch in October 2018. I'm using my P20 Pro in the US. What's going on?
Finally just bit the bullet, did a 15 day subscription to FH, waiting for my included free unlock code and I'm rebrsnding to C432 Europe. C782 and hauwei can kiss my cheeks

That's very strange, c636 is updated regularly and quite fast.
I have c636 with 9.0.0.234 march update through OTA. i bought the phone in Vietnam but I live in Italy

That looks like an original launch version. Seen that region code pop up before, you might want to contact hauwei for info

Follow instructions carefully, it should work. Got OTA to next version when it was available after that.
I would first try to find out what versions are normally delivered for your C636 OTA. Some say you should first update to 9.0, then to 9.1, so maybe try to update repeteadly to closer versions, not straight to last.

I am in the UK on EE. I am running 9.1.0.240 and have not had an update since October. I have complained to my network provider who referred me to Huawei. I have contacted Huawei, but they do not respond.

Thanks. I have tried that to, but without any success so far. It is worrying that I have missed at least 4 Android security patches, and Huawei won't respond.

HiSuite may be a solution, but it's also a hassle that shouldn't have to be done. OTA updates by design are intended to make the process almost effortless.
But not having an update since last October is abysmal by anyone's standards.
I'm with three UK and have been running 10.0.0.178 for around a month, Security Patch is 1 December 2019, and as we're now almost half way through March I feel I should be on the very latest update.
Huawei definitely consider their home market more important than ROW.

I contacted Huawei UK by email about 5 weeks ago... response came day before yesterday ......
A few hours after my post above my device received a new OTA update.
It's now running 10.0.0.186, security patch 1 January 2020.
Although I'd prefer more timely updates I'm still glad I received this latest one.
i was on ee with an unlocked p30 pro..no update at all...swapped out sim card for a Three network sim and bang....update straight away....weird but it worked.

Hi m8,
According to this post and after talking to @demurov, your device is not a demo unit - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82043915&postcount=529. For you to get latest EMUI 10, Huawei needs to release the update. Whille on EMUI 9.1 could use the dload firmware from C432 (international firmware version) to update your device, things are different in EMUI 10 and you need to flash the same firmware as your actual cust is, otherwise you can get yourself with a softbricked phone.
As i've mentioned in my post, users who have WEC custs CAN TEST (be aware of softbrick, though) using the methods from my post, but there's NO guarantee it will work and still remains the big problem of having a softbrick device whille waiting for a Huawei EMUI 10 dload firmware for WEC custs phones
Also, did you check for an update using HiSuite PC v10? Or maybe using eRecovery? Last weekend helped an WEC user through PM's to get updated untill v9.1.0.260, using dload firmware and HiSuite.

I don't think so, because the firmware is long time released.
If you don't want to use dload firmware, have you tried with HiSuite PC or eRecovery method, both ways without SIM inside?

Sometime, your carrier delay your updates, therefore cheching without SIM inside is better than with it (tested by many users from xda) ?

It only has versions for China and India models of P20 Pro.

Onze ontwikkelaars zijn inderdaad al begonnen met het uitrollen van deze android versie naar sommige Huawei toestellen.
Alleen is het helaas niet mogelijk om de update tegelijkertijd naar alle toestellen te pushen aangezien de update per IMEI nummer wordt gestuurd. Onze ontwikkelaars beginnen deze Android-versie in mei uit te rollen naar de P20 Pro-apparaten.

Now im updating my p20 pro. On HiSuite it shows Emui 10.0.0.161 . I couldn't find any update in system settings but in HiCare and HiSuite you can see the warning for 10.0.0.161

Yes, that's my fault. It must be Support app, not HiCare.
I received it a week ago, and switched back to emui 9 after a couple of days.
Battery consumption is HUGE, and fps drops in games as if you are on a low-end mobile

I have a P20 Pro CLT L09.
I am from Italy.
My girlfirend has just recieved the new update from EMUI 9.1 to EMUI 10.
Because of trouble with 9.1 I was on 9.0.
So yesterday i made the update to 9.1, becuas i thougt, that so I would also receive the 10.0 update.
But on the HiCare App and on the settings to update the Software, there stands, that I have the actually version of EMUI. And it is the 9.1.
How can I now upgrade to EMUI 10?
