Sorry but I cannot find any other suitable title for my problem. At the beginning when I first flashed to NextDesire Rom (which is lovely by the way) and logged onto facebook my HTC Calendar Synced with facebook calendar about my friends birthdays. Although I never examined the whole calendar about dates but most of the birthdates were present. But when I restarted my device yesterday, all the facebook events dissapeared. I checked the calendar settings and Facebook calendar was not there either. I thought that I should resync my device so that I pushed SYNCALL button; funny thing that I realized Facebook Calendar sync PARTLY and randomly. sometimes a few birthday entires appear in calendar sometimes don't. If you can help me about this problem i will be really grateful. On the other hand N1 is the best phone I have ever used.
That theme is based on alpha build 11. MoDaCo has released alpha 21, it could have been fixed in a newer version if it was a bug.
Some people say a21 is slower than a19, so make a backup and try both and see if syncs fully.
Chances are even reflashing the rom after a fresh wipe will fix it.

I HATE the AT&T implementation. Is there a way to get the AOSP Android 2.1 address book instead? I like that the included one lets you create groups, but I came from another android phone and all my contacts are in google. Unless I missed something gobsmacking obvious, you can't move a google contact into AT&T's address book. Any help for me?
I had never used att address book until my captivate. I synced Google contacts before opening att address book. When I did I added all my Google contacts.
I'm all for multiple free contact backup options.

The thing is I couldn't figure out how to move a contact from google to att. I had to export my contacts from gmail and import them via the address book website. Kludgy IMHO
you synced your google account to your phone through settings right?
The contacts are on the phone. BUT looking at them in groups view is what I am talking about. You can't add the Google Contacts to Family/Friends/Work only the ones in unassigned can be put into groups. In order to get my google contacts to be assignable I had to export them from Gmail in CSV format then import them on the address book website. This minor annoyance sounds a whole lot more major now

I used my HTC One with Cyanogenmod 4.2, recently there was a update to Android 4.3
After updating i lost my google apps as supposed since they are made for Android 4.2. This was my opportunity to get rid of google, so i installed K9Mail with Fdroid and imported my contacts with a .VCF file. Worked well.
I have just one mayor problem, I can't add new contacts to the phone. My phone app always want to add a new concact to my exchange account and i cant change it to anything else. I want to add new contacts to the phone itself, without any accounts like whatsapp/exchange/google...
Second problem that occurred: I can`t edit the contacts from the recently imported .VCF file, my Datamanager hang up every time when i want to add some Details.
Do you guys have an idea how I can add contacts to my phone?

I have the same problem.
I can't add a contact on CM 10.2 (and before too).
Only when i account google, i can add a contact on the phonebook with google.
I can't never on the other account on my andoird (outlook, facebook, linkedin, or same local)/

So I have a weird contact display problem in the dialer/contact apps.
i got the phone in the first week of February.
Synced one Google Account: [email protected] (Just to help explain) and loaded all the contacts.
Then in end of March, I loaded a second Google Account [email protected] (again, just to explain) and synced all the contacts.
[email protected] has a number saved as Sam
[email protected] has the same number saved as Samantha.
Both the contacts are "joined".
Why does it show as Samantha in the dialer/contact apps and not as Sam? Anyway I can change it?
Or any other suggestions you may have?

Just delete the Contact and create a fresh One
Not completely sure if one of the recent OTA updates is responsible for this. There's been several updates in the past month. I have a completely stock 415. Never rooted this phone. Suddenly my stock contacts app is messed up.
Android version: 5.0.2
Software Version: D41520e
Contacts Version: 4.40.29
In the stock Contacts app, I can no longer use Groups at all. Can't create new groups, and can't assign the default groups to anything. I get the message "Not editable on this device"
I also can't save contacts locally to the phone, and am prompted to save it to an online account or the sim card. Very annoying and more crippling than no groups!
If I import previously exported contacts it can be saved locally to the phone, just not new contacts. Since I don't want to sync contacts to Google, my only other option is to create new contacts on the sim card and that has limited fields.
Not sure how I lost my built in contact app features. Is it the OTA? Did something else get corrupted somewhere? Any suggestions? (- Again remember it's not rooted and 100% stock.)
