Red Wolf Recovery is custom recovery based on TWRP source code however some things are working here slightly different then you might expected. The main objective of this project is to provide stable recovery with features which you have never seen before in a recovery and which have not been accepted for adding to the official source code of TWRP. Doesn't support MIUI Incremental OTA, however, survived the complete system upgrade. Other than TWRp it was replaced by standard recovery and should be reinstalled. Good job!

A: Make sure you formatted data partition.

A: From wipe menu select Advanced Wipe, select preload partition to be wiped and reboot recovery.
Q: Why do i need to format data partition?
A: Because old rom encrypted your data partition and new rom can't decrypt and use that content / root needs access to data partition to place misc files / phone not booting after flashing root until data partition gets formatted.
Really nicely done recovery. Compatible with TWRP backups (cause TWRP fork lol) , includes a lot of useful modules to manage your phone, can repack itself to include password and themes that works with encrypted /data.

This is practically one, the device tree is identical to OrangeFox or TWRP. SHRP and OrangeFox have some extra features that TWRP does not have.
As a OnePlus 6 user with twrp installed permanently on both slots, I was wondering if you have to use fastboot to boot the enchilada image file first and then use it to flash the accompanying zip file. Or would a simple flash install from twrp as you describe above be enough?

The markw device does not have two slots. Yes, TWRP must be loaded first and then flash zip of SHRP recovery
Thanks for your answer, but it still leaves me a bit worried that I might have problems with OTA updates on my custom ROM as this phone is the first OnePlus model to use the A/B partitioning scheme, so it definitely does have two slots. I know this after the installation problems I had when moving from a non-A/B 5T to the OP6.

These are addons (additional TWRP tools) that were included into the main archive. They should be flashed separately on some devices. MiMax actually doesn't require this archive.
