So my redmi note 3 stopped charging and the charge was finished.
During this lockdown, I found a shop that was open so I decided to give it there. The guy told that the charging board got short and needed it to be replaced. He replaced it and charged me 10USD.
But he said that, while replacing the board the software was gone and phone was stuck in a bootloop. I said I can fix that myself and I brought it home.
I tried installing the latest available stock ROM MIUI 10.2.1 global ,also tried MIUI 9.6.
But I encountered the same problem everywhere.
Back camera doesn't work, says can't connect to camera.
SIM card does not get detected.
Loudspeaker doesn't work.
WiFi works but you need to wait a while after rebooting the phone.
Brightness sensor doesn't work.
So I decided to give the phone back to the shop, he told me today that there is an error and he needs 15$ to repair it but it can't be done currently in this lockdown.
What might have happened to the device? I don't trust the shop person.
I’ve had some of the issues before. Brightness sensor and all other sensors didn't work, camera didn't work, WiFi didn't work. But for me the loudspeaker and SIM card worked.
All I had to do is flash the persist.img file.
- You should have an unlocked bootloader.
- The persist.img file should be located in the images folder of the zip file of the fastboot ROM.
- Copy it to the desktop.
- Run fastboot flash persist persist.img command in your PC while your phone is in fastboot mode and check if everything gets fixed.

Ur charging board will burn diode if u use 9v or 12v QC charger. Only 5v is safe for kenzo.
U dont need to throw that board. Just use tiny flat screw driver and scratch and remove the burnt diode from the board. Phone wil start charging again.
Local repair shops give cheap quality charging board. I bought 2 boards from ebay and aliexpress. One is HMFS and CTFS. both works fine with network.

Just collected my phone, dude told that my IMEI is erased and that is the reason why my phone is behaving like this ,
should I first flash persist.img or try something else?
The persist.img did not solve anything.
I'm trying to restore IMEI using different methods but I'm getting some problem.
What would be the best method to restore IMEI?
I have already unlocked bootloader and rooted my device.

I'm pretty sure that I used this or a similar approach to restoring note 3 IMEIs in the past.

Edit: I guess that that URL is banned or something so you'll have to Google it.

hi friends, i need so much your help!.
I have xaiomi mi5, the operating system of the cellphone has been updated, and then the device has entered the loop.
He can not get up at all.
I've tried to do so far:
FAST BOOT - but even the computer can not read the device despite all the permissions I have approved for the computer.
MIPCSUIT - does not work well because the computer does not recognize the device.
Your help must be smart and good people!
I am also stuck with the same problem.
At least I can get fastboot.
I think if you OK to loose data then just go to recovery mode with Volume up + power button pressed together. And wipe all. This may solve the problem. But I don't want to loose data I am skipping this option.
If any one knows other way to unbrick without full wipe then please let us know.
Thanks
have you unlocked bootloader?
you can try run by fastboot twrp recovery mode.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
after few seconds phone boot to recovery, you can encrypt the phone and copy data.
twrp is here
My bootloader is locked I think.
I tried that command. Didn't boot to twrp.
Any other way.
Anyway Thanks for suggesting.
Are you on latest MIUI global stable? I think Xiaomi's guys ****ed it up this time around and got bootloop for everybody on latest update.
Take a read here and good luck: http://en.miui.com/thread-2776961-1-1.html
ok listen me... if you have got unlock permission and unlocked your phone or you have unlock code.. you must bind your acc with other xiaomi phone easly enter your acc and bind acc now go fastboot download mi flash unlocker install adb driver and unlock then you can flash stock rom i had that problem and i solved
Hello,
I had similar issue.
To be able to start phone/miui you should remove sim card,
in my case it was connected to connecting to cell network that caused reboot.
Than it will be possible to update phone using WiFi.
For me issue was solved with V9.5.2.0.NAAMIFA update.

Lifesaver here!
This worked perfectly for me! Go figure?
Cheers
You can try
I tried version gemini global images v10.2.2.0. OAAMIXM 2019115 GLOBAL but failed then tried v8.11.22.20181122.000 8.0 GLOBAL but failed then 2 month later i tried with good battery and good on off and main important is version GEMINI GLOBAL IMAGES 6.11.10 _20161110 and version GEMINI GLOBAL IMAGES V7.2.4.0.MAAMIDC 20160129. AND GUESS WHAT SUCCESS. NEVER TRY WITHOUT BATTERY AND WITHOUT EDL POINT. EDL POINT FOR UNLOCKING BOOTLOCK AND DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE FLASH FILES WITH GOOD INTERNET WITHOUT INTERUPPT SO FLASH SUCCESS. MY 2 MOTHERBOARD OF MI5 SAVED WITHOUT HARDWARE. HOW TO KNOW SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE....1ST CHECK CHARGING HAPPENING OR NOT IN SWITCH OFF AND CAN IT GO TO FASTBOOT MODE OR RECOVERY MODE. IF ALL THIS GOOD GO FOR FLASH IN SAME PROCESS. OTHERWISE HARDWARE AS STATED THAT RESISTOR ALSO PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN BOOTING OR STUCK AT MI LOGO. MOISTURE IN PHONE UNDER IC REQUIRE HEAT WITH PASTE AT HARDWARE LEVEL.
so I wanted to convert from stock android on the MI A2 to MIUI.
had to unlock the bootloader first so i did that and that's when the issue started, when I try to execute any fastboot command it will almost always fail unless I spam it or enter the command first in the fastboot CMD then boot the device into fastboot and the command then executes successfully, doesn't sound like a big deal but its quite annoying.
anyway, managed to go through that and installed MIUI9 successfully, installed MIUI10, used it for a couple of days but then decided to go back to stock android because MIUI was just consuming more battery than stock does.
so I connected my phone to the PC, put it in EDL mode, used QFIL to install the stock android image and it installed successfully but now the real issue starts.
whenever i connect my phone to the PC, the PC reads it as the 6X not the A2, nothing major, i said when i saw that but then i tried the camera...doesnt work...just blank black screen whenever i launch the camera, auto rotate doesn't work, all of the contacts i had appeared in the contacts app with their names but in an application like WhatsApp it only shows the number.
only fix i could find so far was to install the pixel experience ROM (only ROM i tried) which fixed everything except for the autorotate.
any idea how to fix the phone back to its original state?
my guess is that the kernel got botched when I switched from stock to miui9 and didn't fix itself when I flashed the stock android again, not sure tho, I am not a developer and don't know much.
thanks for the help in advance.
update
ok so after messing around abit i found a...diagnositc for the problem? not sure what to call it
installed CPU-z and checked the sensors tap and it shows blank so either the gyroscope, accelerometer and other sensors drivers in the kernel are corrupted/messed up, the ROM just doesnt read them or they are somehow disabled.
is there anyway i can get the original stock android one kernel?

Hi, I have a problem with my Xiaomi Mi 5 as yesterday, after falling and after breaking the glass (only that), the device is no longer able to boot the system by going into bootloop. TWRP and Fastboot work perfectly, but the system doesn't want to start. I also checked if the motherboard had been damaged, but it doesn't seem to the naked eye, so I can't really understand what it depends on. I have already tried a restore via fastboot rom or to flash various roms from twrp, but without success..I would like to repair it, but if it does not start I cannot buy the spare parts. Bootloader unlocked and there was the Pixel Experience before the bootloop. :crying:
working now or dead???

have you found any solution yet????
Hello everyone today i flash an incompatible rom with twrp and my screen turn completely black After reboot twrp in recovery .
Do you have solution ?
Sorry for my bad English
Hi if you can open bootloader, flash stock rom
The easy solution is press power+volume down. Phone should boot into fastboot mode. Then flash fastboot ROM without relocking the bootloader.
The other way is taking phone to service center. They'll flash stock in edl mode.
I can't seem to put it in fastboot mode. but by pressing the 3 buttons or by changing the buttons I managed to put it in something else I think that at times I manage to put it on a fastboot but the screen always remains black impossible to know i have this message in device manager (Unknown usb devices request for descriptor) do you think it causes me to reinstall drivers what could be the cause? how to adjust as soon as i can connect it so l is not a Qualcomm USB hs 2008.

Doesn't EDL need authorized mi account these days? It'd better to visit service center because installing EDL driver & all the fuss will be useless
May be you can find some drivers which can recognise your phone to work with ADB in fastboot and flash a new ROM. If that doesn't work, then a service center is the next best option.

Sounds like your device boots into EDL mode, likely due to a corrupted bootloader from the incompatible firmware you've flashed. If you have the EDL firehose files for your device, you can use QFIL to flash a compatible ROM, alternatively try to EDL flash the boot partition with a working boot (that may get you from EDL to a soft brick with a working bootloader and Fastboot - from there you can try try and flash a working firmware).

I unfortunately tried to install all the drivers but nothing has worked difficult to know if a fastboot is started it's a hassle when the screen is completely black even with the task manager open I don't I did not succeed finally I ended up paying someone who had me unlock my phone it cost me 29 € my phone is now unlocked which I can advise on the other hand for those who would like to install roms or root their phone is good it is to wait until no auth file is leaked

I see it's super interesting as information I did not know that we could flash only a partition with QFIL.
Unfortunately I could not find the firehose files for the phone as the phone is probably very recent.
I had to pay someone to unlock my phone with an edl account of course .
My work now
Was the unlocking done in person or online? Anyways glad to see it's sorted out.

Hello. Sorry for my poor english.
I have xiaomi redmi 9t lime hardbriked.
No recovery, no fastboot, no boot...
The bootloader is unlocked.
The only hope left is flash stock rom în edl.
I put my phone in edl mode with test point.
Drivers ar corectly installed and Phone is properly recognized in device manager.
The big problem is I can't flash with MI flash because I don't have Authorized Account and Qfil/Qpst wont work.
The stock firmware is redmi 9t lime global fastboot version.I try everything with qfil with no succes.
I need a patched firehose file or a working solution to flash stock firmware în edl.
Thanks a lot.
Any fix please
If you want to have a functional phone, and you have limited skills, don't mess with your rom ffs...or use Miracle Xiaomi Tool Login Edition...pay someone to help you.
just install Miflash and Lastest fastboot Firmware then unpack it and copy this file (firehose) inside the image file ( Replace the old one) and start flash

Thanks a lot! I have the nearly the same problem like @autototal . My phone stopped working and is only recognized as QDLoader 9008. The strange thing in my case is that I had a working Pixelblaster ROM for month on it and it just died without a reason. I never opened the back to bring it to EDL mode.
Anyway... I also got the "only nop" error in the Mi Flash Tool. I tried flashing it with your firehose_ddr.zip and IT WORKED. But then I tried to turn on the phone and it is still in the same state as before (only QDLoader 9008 and no fastboot or anything). Do you have any idea what I could do to bring it back to live?
Thanks a lot

I had the exact same issue. A perfectly working phone for 3 months. Then I turn it off one day and it won't turn back on. I couldn't get MiTools to flash it no matter what I tried.
I found a set of videos that detail removing a capacitor from the main board.
This worked to get my phone booting again with no issues. It may be worth a try if all else fails and you need your data and/or aren't covered under warranty.
