But I didn't used OT's firmware files , I used my mobile's specific files downloaded from firmware finder app ... Which you can download from Playstore

So I recently upgraded from the P8 Lite 2015 to the P8 Lite 2017 and I was wondering if I can flash the P8 Lite 2015 ROMS on my P8 Lite 2017. PRA-LA1C185B167.
Otherwise are there any ROMS out there for the P8 Lite 2017 ROMS?

I've just flashed the zip file now my phone turns off after I reboot system.

Installation Guide:
I did a full wipe since we can't backup data on my own twrp, so I'm not responsible for any data lost, DO ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
Download the vendor.img from this link.
Copy the internal storage.
Wipe, data, cache & system.
flash the rom.
Run adb shell from terminal.
flash the vendor.img partition with: dd if=/sdcard/vendor.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor .
Reboot and enjoy the rom.

This ROM doesn't work on my P8 Lite 2017 PRA-LA1C185B167. It'd go into the boot animation then turn off. Had to flash the stock ROM via fastboot.
Any other ROMS that could work?

Hi guys. A while back I bricked my la1 and found a lx1 rescue box (which worked). However I would like to update it to emui 8 single sim for the la1 and can't because of my oeminfo being for lx1. I have the update.app for the new firmware and have installed honor 8 oeminfo (PRA-LA1) on my Huawei (PRA-LA1). Not sure what I should flash from the update.app as there are different img files from the usual recovery, boot, cust etc.

You can't update to a newer version of Android using the update.app... the device will refuse the package and it will fail ...you have to wait until the OTA update arrives.

himy bros i need stock rom but I can't return to the old rom. and i thought maybe somebody send me the stock rom backup. I spent 1 day to go back to the old android 7 rom but I couldn't return, this is my last hope. pls help me. and i live in turkey.I think we are using the european rom file.sory for my bad english

Hello, I've recently installed TWRP on my PRA-LX1, i made a backup of all partitions in case everything goes wrong... and everything went wrong ! I tried to install a custom rom so i formatted all partitions except internal storage, boot, cust and version (all unformattable partitions) . The installation of the custom rom failed so i planned to restore my backup then i realized they've been deleted. my data partition is now only 500MB instead of several gigabytes
Now i want to flash the stock firmware but i can't.
I tried:
- the sd card method but "software installation failed" after a few seconds
- Download the lastest package from Huawei (ERecovery) but "getting package info failed"
- extract the firmware then flash it via fastboot but fastboot doesn't let me flash vendor and product images. twrp too (error:"cannot flash images to file system")
Now my phone is completely stuck
What i can do right now:
- boot into TWRP
- boot into Huawei ERecovery
- boot into fastboot
I think the situation can't get worse. At this point I'll do anything to get back the stock rom even if it's dangerous for the phone. If someone have a full twrp backup of the p8 lite 2017 PRA-LX1 on android 7, please share it
