Hello friends, my device travels between 50-60 degrees during the game. Are these values normal to you? My location is 30 degrees.
(Idle between 35-45)
for my Mi9 when i was on EEA rom it's always hot when gaming but now i'm on xiaomi.eu beta the heat seem solved
also my Redmi note 8 do the same on Global rom it's hot but in PE rom or xiaomi.eu not much heat

Can i ask Why my redmi 4x heating up around 36-40 Celcius when im using custom rom...if i use miui there was no heating issue
Minimal heating issues here on custom rom(crdroid).
36-40 is my usual operating temp. I live in kerala , the ambient temperature here is about 30ish now.
Hello. So I'm currently at MIUIPro 9.1.1.0 and my phone version is 2\16 china. First of all, it heats too much on mobile net. Outside when it's around 25 degrees celsius battery goes up to 40-41 even though I'm just browsing. In games it heats to a temperature when I can boil water. Around 1 hour ago I was playing PUBG on low, air temp was around 25 and battery gone up to 47 (!!!) degrees, and the cpu (tsens_tz_sensor 0-10) was 70-75 degrees! I am just afraid of my phone blowing up in my hands. Is this a bad firmware or a hardware defect?
Flash a custom ROM. It is not a hardware issue. MIUI is the problem. It also heats like hell when charging, right? I am using Lineage OS for months and temp hardly rises above 25-30. even when gaming for 2-3hrs.
Considering your given information it doesn't seems to be hardware issue to me.
Things cause heating while when using mobile data are Buggy software or low network.
You are using MIUI Pro which is based on MIUI China ROM, check if there's any MIUI Pro update available if so then try updating it.
Temperature around 40° Celsius is pretty normal when you are playing PUBG Mobile with Mobile data.
You'll also see quick battery drain than usual and may will see little lag.
Try using Xiaomi Eu ROM if you don't like original MIUI or you may try either of any custom ROM,MIUI China or global stable/beta ROM to check if you face same issue.

Hello.
I got a new redmi k20 pro and flashed a mi 9t pro global rom on it.
The device works great , but it heats up quite a lot.
For example after like 3 minutes of playing pubg the device is quite hot, or when charging or after a few minuts of facebook use.
Is it normal?
Thank's.
It's normal. Especially if you play games on it or use it while it's charging. The problem would be if you don't feel it's hot, meaning, the heat dissipation doesn't work as it should.

As long as you stay at 30-40°C on your battery, it doesn't matter at all. When you use your device while charging it and the battery already hit 43 or even more °C I would defintiely start worrying about it though
I am not talking about using the device while charging. It happens when the device is not charging , like few minutes of gaming and the device already feels quite hot.
For example my brother's oneplus 7 stays alot more cooler then my device.

Doesnt sound right. Mine barely gets warm to the touch while playing pubg etc. Mi 9T pro
Is there any app that I can check the temps after few minutes of gaming just to compare to other devices?
Edit: I downloaded an app called cpu monitor.
After about 10 minutes of playing pubg the cpu temp was 46.
Is that normal?
46 ist ok. You can check and compare with the app throttlestop if your phone throttles faster (= heats up quicker) than other peoples phone. Please note, you can only compare the exact same phone for valid results.
just tested a arcade game till chicken dinner , not sure how many mins but max was 35 ,measure on cpu-z app , k20 pro , china rom

pubg is one demanding game , i am quite sure if i played a couple of classic matches , it would hit 40 plus , i have not tested it yet since i didnt played it on k20 pro .
So I have two devices:
Xiaomi mi 8 - latest eu weekly rom
Xiaomi poco f1 - latest eu stable rom
I have almost same set of apps on these two devices, however i have some performance drops with mi8.
When i play game 8 pool billiard, poco runs smooth, mi8 stutters a lot.
Same thing happens in PUBG mobile.
I gues i'll try some other rom, but man is this frustrating.
My friends redmi note 7 has no problems with this games.
So, my question is: Can i try anything to get good performances or is it facotry reset/ rom change my only option?
Hai,
Recently bought the Mi 11 ultra chinese version.
Now installed eu stable latest rom.
Everything was fine for like 5-6 days.
Then it started to get heated without any reasons. Sometimes it will be fine, sometime for the basic browsing & YouTube watching, cos heats up to 50-52 degree. Just the browsing also feels the heat.
Tried flashing the rom from the scratch again, tried the underclock module from xda, still the same. Normal cpu heat itself is 43 - 45 degree sometimes.
And in 8k video & pubg gaming sessions cause the cpu to reach 55+ degree.
Is it normal? During no hard use also feeling warm is normal in Mi 11 ultra?
Should I try for a service or replacement?

You made yourself a problem. The Chinese and European versions have different support for the radio bands, which may be related to the difference in hardware.

Nop. EU rom is completely based on the Chinese roms.
EU stable version is chinese stable modified. & eu weekly is chinese weekly rom.
Just more optimized, bloatware & Spyware free roms.

Just a suggestion, since it would seem that your issue started only recently after the rom update.
I was on 13.0.12 CN , then changed to 13.0.2.0 global . The phone seems to be running cooler , and doesn't get warm at all when on idle.

Sorry, I think I didn't explained it properly.
I bought the phone and same day flashed the EU rom. And it was working all fine in eu rom for like 5-6 days. Then the issue started. Now it's 15 days of using this device.
This is a Chinese version phone and was on global rom when I bought, so was already bootloader unlocked. I simply formated everything & flashed eu stable.
By the way.
Can you help me with the temperature you are seeing.
On normal use, did u ever faced warm screen & back?
What temperatures you are seeing in normal use & moderate use.
