Hai,
Recently bought the Mi 11 ultra chinese version.
Now installed eu stable latest rom.
Everything was fine for like 5-6 days.
Then it started to get heated without any reasons. Sometimes it will be fine, sometime for the basic browsing & YouTube watching, cos heats up to 50-52 degree. Just the browsing also feels the heat.
Tried flashing the rom from the scratch again, tried the underclock module from xda, still the same. Normal cpu heat itself is 43 - 45 degree sometimes.
And in 8k video & pubg gaming sessions cause the cpu to reach 55+ degree.
Is it normal? During no hard use also feeling warm is normal in Mi 11 ultra?
Should I try for a service or replacement?

You made yourself a problem. The Chinese and European versions have different support for the radio bands, which may be related to the difference in hardware.

Nop. EU rom is completely based on the Chinese roms.
EU stable version is chinese stable modified. & eu weekly is chinese weekly rom.
Just more optimized, bloatware & Spyware free roms.

Just a suggestion, since it would seem that your issue started only recently after the rom update.
I was on 13.0.12 CN , then changed to 13.0.2.0 global . The phone seems to be running cooler , and doesn't get warm at all when on idle.

Sorry, I think I didn't explained it properly.
I bought the phone and same day flashed the EU rom. And it was working all fine in eu rom for like 5-6 days. Then the issue started. Now it's 15 days of using this device.
This is a Chinese version phone and was on global rom when I bought, so was already bootloader unlocked. I simply formated everything & flashed eu stable.
By the way.
Can you help me with the temperature you are seeing.
On normal use, did u ever faced warm screen & back?
What temperatures you are seeing in normal use & moderate use.

Hello. So I'm currently at MIUIPro 9.1.1.0 and my phone version is 2\16 china. First of all, it heats too much on mobile net. Outside when it's around 25 degrees celsius battery goes up to 40-41 even though I'm just browsing. In games it heats to a temperature when I can boil water. Around 1 hour ago I was playing PUBG on low, air temp was around 25 and battery gone up to 47 (!!!) degrees, and the cpu (tsens_tz_sensor 0-10) was 70-75 degrees! I am just afraid of my phone blowing up in my hands. Is this a bad firmware or a hardware defect?
Flash a custom ROM. It is not a hardware issue. MIUI is the problem. It also heats like hell when charging, right? I am using Lineage OS for months and temp hardly rises above 25-30. even when gaming for 2-3hrs.
Considering your given information it doesn't seems to be hardware issue to me.
Things cause heating while when using mobile data are Buggy software or low network.
You are using MIUI Pro which is based on MIUI China ROM, check if there's any MIUI Pro update available if so then try updating it.
Temperature around 40° Celsius is pretty normal when you are playing PUBG Mobile with Mobile data.
You'll also see quick battery drain than usual and may will see little lag.
Try using Xiaomi Eu ROM if you don't like original MIUI or you may try either of any custom ROM,MIUI China or global stable/beta ROM to check if you face same issue.

Find out who's eating the battery. Or find someone capable and willing to look at your phone's logcat. There are too many possibilities with so generic information.
Hello!
I made a poll to see which rom is most used.
Thank you!
using xiaomi.eu
Xiaomi.eu lags but I want call recorder so I was on Cherish...having DS issues. Since 3 days on Octavi and very happy, no DS problems so far, aosp dialer with call recorder, and fast and bug free. Although the chipmunk voice bug in some games might be there but I don't care

I tried Xiaomi.EU but almost bricked my phone, it corrupted internal storage. Will never install again.
used PE on my previous phone, and again now, and it is amazing.

same as official experience , this phone does not have flagship cpu , 120hz is too much for this cpu to handle ofcourse it might stutter abit

I found that the stock rom was quite fast. That's why I can't understand why xiaomi.eu and miuimix lag so much. They are super slow at opening apps compared to stock.
I'm assuming that they are both deodexed and that will likely slow them down on a midrange SoC. That's the only reason I can think of. miuimix runs fine on my Mi 9T Pro that has a much better SoC.
I'm running Octavi OS now and it doesn't lag like xiaomi.eu and miuimix do.

i am not experiencing lagging , micro stutters maybe like on the animation
Some time ago i installed xiaomi.eu. I can agree that is much slower in openning apps. Stock rom was much faster. I had xiaomi.eu installed on Redmi Note 4X and 8T and it was better than stock but Note 10 Pro is slower with xiaomi.eu. Maybe dev's need some time to make this rom better. Now I'm on stock EAA rom rooted and it's perfect for me. Good battery life and speed. I haven't tested any non-miui rom
Using MI Globe rom which is same as xiaomi.eu, just with added options to exclude or include stuff before rom creation. Currently on 12.5.3 of this rom and no issues whatsoever. In fact I like it better than stock 12.5.1 rom because of these options.
Other non-MIUI roms do not have as good camera performance, which is main reason I dont use them.

Hi Team anyone else also facing Heat issues with Mi11 even with simple tasks?

Bluetooth is On but even off it's Heats up..

Welcome to the Snapdragon 888 family lol
Blame Samsung. TSMC should be the one working on SD888.

For sure if you don't play games like Unreal games... Try to play 20/30mn on a Unreal Games, Phone is Hot quickly, and if you play under the sun, Phone has heat issues (it's the summer in France, temperatures are at ~30°+)
The Snapdragon is knowed for have Heat issue, you can't do a complete Benchmark like Antutu without Heat Issue / Throttle.

Hmmmm, the pointless and sarcastic answer. It's a forum, not a fight. Explain your experiences, your feedback, instead of answer that just because someone don't agree with you.
I'm just explaining that the Snapdragon is known to heat up, especially in games & benchmarks.
If yours doesn't heat up, either you don't have a Snapdragon 888 or you don't play with it. nothing else.
TSMC bailed Qualcomm out of a jam earlier this year when the Snapdragon 888 produced by Samsung caused overheating issues
Xiaomi users are facing issue of burnt motherboards on the Mi 11
I think everybody knows that mi11 is really hot phone . Lol
My phone only heats while charging.
If u only do stress benchmarks and hard playing (20-30 minutes with top games) it's normal that any phone heats.
I used to have this issue with the China rom as I have the Chinese version of the phone... Once I switched over to the Xiaomi.Eu rom it all went away and everything is smooth sailing .. I'm currently on the 12.5.9 rom

Im currently on 12.5.1 RKBEUXM whats your version?
Check out xiaomi.eu Google it. This is a custom rom based on china beta
The latest two betas of Xiaomi.eu based on Chinese MIUI enhanced version has remarkable stability, much better battery life- for first time since I got this phone, once only charge to 90% keeps the phone rocking for the whole day even with extensive and heavy use. These betas are almost totally bug-free for Mi 11 ultra.
Many threads here in this forum are filled with scary stories... including a few of my own like those of others. Wanted to give a clearer idea to potential new buyers of this phone.
How are these compared to the latest stable? Because I'm having some issues on it I didn't have on global stable
I'm currently on Xiaomi.eu 21.8.26 but I haven't noticed the performance and battery life improvements so far - is there a way to check if the new features of MIUI Enhanced are definitely enabled under any of the settings?

Compared to the global 12.5.4 and Chinese MIUI 12.5.10, there is noticeable improvement on these Xiaomi.eu betas. I have not tried stable Xiaomi.eu. So I would not know.

I am on the same beta and have noticed the improved MIUI very clearly. Despite my maximum and heavy use, I cannot drain the juice of the phone to under 10% in a day. For similar use, I had to charge the phone twice previously when I was using the official global and chinese MIUI.
And also the UI is butter smooth as well. There are no jitters at all.
There is no way to know from inside the firmware that whether you are running the enhanced MIUI. I noticed the improvements on 21.8.18 first and then searched the Xiaomi.eu forums. There, the devs confirmed to a question by a user that this beta (21.8.18) is based on enhanced version of MIUI.

I've installed the latest weekly from Xiaomi EU yesterday and I must say that is working extremely well,it still lacks on performance slightly on cold app start despite official global (I would be curious to try the official chinese weekly it must be a sky rocket). I confirm so far that many bugs have been resolved like stuttering when the rear display is on, whatsapp backup restore doesn't crash anymore, cpu temp looks cooler now and 120hz are really smooth. Great job. I'm really looking forward to see if enhanced version coming official on global devices will be as great
Glad to know it worked for you like it is doing for me. I launch apps via their shortcuts created with a free app from google play (I just cant stand the app icon labels. Creating shortcuts achieve label-less icons). The apps start instantly this way. So I may have overlooked the app start up time when launched from actual app icon.
The Today's beta include the September security patch. That is a hot hot cake for me .
I will greatly appreciate if the official stable MIUI with the enhanced features drop quickly. Nevertheless, we have at least some pathway for the time being to be able to use the phone with all its full potential without major bugs. This is the way for Xiaomi to walk on. Fix the vital software!!
May I ask what's the name of the app for launching the apps? It sounds weird to me but it is worth a try. Also I would add that fingerprint scanner is kuch faster now as well. Great

There are many. I like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rk.android.app.shortcutmaker
I found a little bug
With YouTube vanced when I have PiP video on the display, I experience contant stutter on browser navigation.
@hellodrsoul may I ask you please to do a test for me regarding the app cold start time?
If you can please test both with your shortcut or with app drawer and check if you see any difference
