So I have had my Samsung s10 for a while since January and you can have a samsung account. Its annoying that you have to have a samsung account just for discord in the games launcher as well as to see what other apps to update in the galaxy store.
The main reason is it can backup my phone such as lock screen settings app icon layouts. Not sure what else having a samsung account can backup. Settings as well as Samsung app settings. As I used to use helium app to backup and sync since 2011 but development seems to have stopped as I get few bugs and issues with the app that makes it hard to use.
I do use folder sync to move taken photos and screenshots off my phone to cloud as well as backup signal chats.
The dark side of having a Samsung account is privacy and control over my data.
So any advice and what things did you find when having a Samsung account?

I hate this app but I'm stuck using it cause that where the off screen notes save to.
Anytime I create a new off screen note, a notification comes up saying couldn't sync to Samsung Cloud. I can silence the notification but it shows in the app too & is annoying. Any way to disable that?
I have all cloud services disabled as far as I know but doesn't matter as it seems it's the app that is the issue.
Why couldn't Samsung have just stuck with the good ol' Snote!

All good, but thanks. Yes I did finally figure it out. It was a permission issues that was causing that message & would have caused a sync issue as well if I was using sync. I originally only had storage granted for permissions. Granting contacts & phone fixed the issue like you said.
I prefer not not sync my notes. Samsung currently has no way of deleting the sync'd notes off their cloud through a webpage. You need to use the original device that was sync'd to delete anything notes saved in their cloud. Had to find my note Note II & fire it up to delete the sync'd notes saved on the cloud.
While, I'm here anyone know the location of the saved notes for Samsung Notes on the Note 8? It doesn't seem to save to internal storage like the old Snotes did. I think it's somwhere /data/data/com.samsung.android.app.notes but I can't figure it out. I currently only have 2 notes but in those folders nothing matches up.
I'm not sure if this is Note 8 related, Samsung related, or an Android-wide Google issue, but figured I'd start here.
I have a Verizon branded Note 8 that I'm using on T-Mo. I just bought the device Monday from an individual. I flashed the T-Mobile firmware and everything seemed to be working fine, until I noticed not all my contacts synced from Google. I'd say probably 75% of them synced, but I was missing a large random chunk of them.
I tried everything I read to resolve the issue. Deleted and re-added my Google account. Cleared the contacts app data/cache. Rebooted. Downloaded Contact Sync Fix. Nothing fixed it. I evwn downloaded Google Contacts, and they wouldbt all sync. I checked my Google contacts online and they're all there. If I ADD a contact to my Note 8, it syncs to my Google account.
I checked my S8+ and tried to re-sync my contacts on that device, and it keeps giving the "Sync is having issues..." message. I don't get that message on my Note 8, but obviously it isn't syncing properly.
I did a factory reset. That didn't fix it. I flashed the unlocked firmware, that didn't fix it. I set rhe phone back up, and I noticed issue #2. I suddenly lost the ability to customize my Google search bar. It wasn't a big deal at first. I usually have to wait for the app to update after setting the phone back up, and sometimes have to delete and add the search bar widget back. But no matter what I try, it won't work.
I factory reset again and flashed back to the T-Mo firmware. I didn't restore ANYTHING and set it all up from scratch as a new device. Still those two issues remain. I'm bone stock, not rooted, stock Touchwiz launcher, using all the stock Samsung apps. My work around is all my contacts were synced with my Samsung account, and they synced to my Note 8 just fine, but I want my Google Account contacts to sync properly. The search bar will just stay white I guess.
TL;DR:
1. Google contacts not syncing properly.
2. Google search bar widget no longer customizable.
google related problem.

Your link says page not found, but I finally got it working properly after you responded. I couldn't get it to Sync properly at first. It took me deleting my Google Account, turning off Samsung Contacts Sync, deleting all the contacts from my phone, force stopping the contacts app and clearing it's data. Then I rebooted, added my Google account and let it all Sync again. Low and behold, all my contacts have now synced properly.
My Google search bar widget has still lost its ability to be customised however. Which sucks, because I like a dark theme and it was awesome setting the bar to Black and transparent.
hello!
I have added new google account, removed old google account with which phone was first started&configured since it was new.
Now I have questions:
1. When thief stole my phone and do factory reset from recovery, which account will be needed to sign in (FRP)?
2. I have no apps in play store library, apps which was buyed on old google account are still usable. Is there any way to get all my installed apps into play store library (on new google acc.)
3. I feel that part of my phone still use old google acc. and another part use new account. Am I right?
4. Are any special samsung things to change here? I am asking because samsung have heavily modified android compared to stock.
Thanks for replies.

1) You can test FRP yourself,I think you know this already,The account that the phone was logged into when 1st setting up the phone is the one you'll need to sign-in on a reset.
2) App purchases are not transferable, but, this may help: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7007852?hl=en
3) No way of knowing,a very generic non-specific question. G-Mail has the ability to use several G-mail accounts, guessing you can sign-in to other apps w/various Google accounts,I don't have the need other that the G-Mail app.
4) Use your phone for a while & see what you like & don't like, then use the search function in the Note 9 section for related topics.
The one area I would suggest Googling (& look here & XDA as well) is Note 9 S-Pen Tips & Tricks,or,something to that effect.

Not sure why you want to change everything over to a new account, cause it's a pain in the ass. But here you go:
1. If someone performs an unauthorized factory reset, such as from Recovery or by flashing a firmware through ODIN, it will require the last Google account logged into the phone. Once you remove the first one from your phone, it's no longer on your phone. Whatever Google account you added afterwards or left on it will be the account that looks the device. It's easy to test. Go to accounts and try to remove the current account. You'll get a warning that device protection features will no longer work.
2. As far as using apps paid for from your old Google account. As far as I know, there's no way to transfer them over to a new account. Maybe if you call Google they can do that. Your other option is to log into your old account and set up a family plan and attach your new account. Just make sure you add all your apps on the old account to the family plan.
3. Once you removed your old account under settings, no part of your phone is still using it. It logs you out of that account. What you'll want to do is make sure all your contacts are synced with the new account so you don't lose them.
4. Samsung soes modify Android, but as far as doing anything special for Samsung things you shouldn't have to. Samsung typically keeps Samsung account stuff separate from Google account stuff. Now with Pie, you'll be able to log into your Samsung account using your Google account so you may want to associate your new Google account with your current Samsung account. That's probably done in your Samsung account profile settings, though I'm not really sure.
it's because I have a lot of VPN's and app data configured, it will take days to set all things again. or is there any way to backup all data and then restore it after resetting phone with new google account set?
so far as I know, some data is stored in secured partition where I don't have access, not even google
I have never minded using both Samsung and Google's services since the system-level apps for Samsung cannot always be uninstalled. I have found many Samsung apps to actually be better than Google's, especially with the OneUI update and some of Google's in a mess, but right now I am reaching a point where it is affecting my contacts and such to a point that I am annoyed.
When I am on my phone, I have multiple ways to contact people on any given app.
On Samsung Messages, if I tap on one person's icon to open the contact info for them, it will open properly. If I tap on a second, it will say "CONTACT NOT FOUND" even though they are linked and in my phone\contacts for both Google and Samsung - and I can access it any way. I can even type them in as a person to send a contact.
Then there is the issue that Samsung and Google contacts do not always format phone numbers the exact same, leading to minor issues here and there with area codes, international codes, etc.
Last, I noticed if I go into my Samsung account and look at a contact, it lists a whole 4 or 5 "LINKED CONTACTS" with the same information.
I thought that I already merged all my duplicate contacts with my Google contacts long ago? I did not have any issues with this on my Galaxy Note8, even with the version of the OneUI apps I had on there.
Here's what I am getting at: I am positive I am not missing any setting, but running into the inevitable. Easy contact syncing between phone\email\contacts was possible with Android 8 and my Note8, but updates and overhauls have created a problem where it is messing up again.
Do I even need to keep my Samsung account active on my phone? Can I uninstall the Contacts and Messages apps by using the ADB force-uninstall command? I am sure it will work but I do not want to break my phone too much
I'm also tired of having two calendar apps.
I actually like all Samsung's but I need to be able to move in and out seamlessly between computer and phone and right now Samsung isn't providing the integration it had in the previous versions of these apps for me.
Even Maps is a bit too different.
Advice?
Not sure if you all have seen this before, but the scenario I noticed today when adding my live.com account to my tab s8+ was:
1) I have a galaxy 22 ultra, and my outlook.com account is sync'd to it for samsung email/contacts etc (not through the Outlook app). I've had that account for years on my previous galaxy phones, and no issues ever.
2) On my tab s8+, I added my outlook.com account to the same samsung email/contacts with activesync (and auto-sync is turned on).
3) As a result, on all of my contacts on my outlook.com account, every single one is now a member of a samsung contacts group called "Galaxy Tab S8+ (Contacts)".
Looks like the tab is autocreating that group for some reason (I am guessing to preserve some sort of sync integrity if the same account is sync'd on multiple devices?). I've tried trashing the group from both my phone and the tab(and chose the option to NOT delete the members but only just delete the group), and within a few seconds, the group gets recreated and that property is reapplied to all of the contacts. If I remove the outlook.com account from my tablet (leaving it set up only for my s22 ultra), then the group does not get recreated.
Have any of you seen this happen or found any setting in sync properties etc to disable this autocreating of this group? It seems unnecessary, though I could be thinking to simplistically and it's actually required in the background from some reason. I didn't think it would be, as I have other accounts (Office 365, Google) on both the tab s8 and s22 ultra, and no such groups get autocreated. Wondering if it may be an outlook.com connector thing, but hopefully there's a way to stop this. Thank you in advance for any guidance or suggestions. It would be wonderful to be able to bring down my contacts to my tab without having this annoying group label now show up everywhere across all of my devices.
I can't speak to this specifically, but I will say that for my phone, when I "briefly" went from the Pixel 1 to the Galaxy Note 10+ for a year and a half, Samsung managed to mangle my contacts. Now I have duplicates of many of my contacts that in some way aren't recognized as duplicates by Google. I only have Samsung for the Tab S8 Ultra any more. The hardware's great, I just wish they wouldn't enforce their services which duplicate already existing Google services.
I apologize that I don't have any helpful advice.
