annoying notification on top of setting menu. - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

4I am getting annoying notification for change settings at too of setting menu. Even if i tried to change setting as it mentions. Screenshot is attached with for clarification.

As i cannot attach screenshot xda app gives error of bad request.

if it's the "settings suggestions " you can get rid of it:
go to settings, apps, show all, dots menu top right show system, search for settings suggestions tap it, storage and cache, clear storage.
after 2-4 days it will show up again you redo the steps whenever you get too annoyed by it

just use sd maid or titanium and magisk to disable the application

Removing system status dialog/touchflow 3d interface?

hi all!
just got myself a diamond yesterday after spending 8 months with a n95 8gb... overall impressive phone but coming from a dopod d810, i find the system status dialog/touchflow 3d interface extremely annoying!
how do i remove them???
system status dialog -> where you can click on the volume, date, 3G icons on the top right hand side of the phone
also anybody knows how to remove the functionality where you press the vol up/down and it changes the system volume?
Hard Reset the daimond. When it boots up after configuration and when it says 3 seconds to customize , press reset.
PS : Opera also wont be installed. you can download opera cab seperately
If it's just the interface, why not uncheck it from Settings>Today ? Or does it come back? Not tried it yet myself

start->preferences->system->TouchFLo
unselect third checkbox..
Allright .. that´t the way to disable TouchFlo...
but how can we get rid of the system status dialog?
(another way than soft reset before HTC customizing runs...)
thx alot...
one more here that is really seeking to get rid of that awfull system status.....
thats the only thing so far i really hated on the diamond
Doesn't my solution (3 posts up from here) work to disable the system status dialog window?
It works for me (MDA Compact IV -Dutch)
yes it works real fine, the problem is everyone still wants the touchflow 3d
we just want to get rid of the system status on the upper corner
Guys..
instead of the full screen system status, do U think I can get the original Touch/Cruise system bubble instead? It's similar to the full screen, but the icons are slightly bigger and appears on top of the screen in a bubble.
Any ideas?
I also find the system status page an unnecessary step. Coming from an Imate K-jam, I preffered just pressing on the icon at the top (alarm bell / envelope / handset etc) to take me to the pop-up bubble at the bottom of the screen where I could either enter open the inbox / call register/calender etc or dismiss.
I read somewhere that the system status page is to bring up large icons for finger pressing. I don't understand the logic of this as the only way I bring up the system status page is by pressing on a small icon in the title bar!
I would like to be able to remove this system status screen step
Why does everone ignores the answer already given??
* To disable the Systemstatus screen, go to Settings>System>Touchflo
* untick the third checkbox wich states (translated from Dutch): "Show Systemstatuswindow when ticked on statusicons"

The idea is that you don't have to aim so precise, just press anywhere near the icons and then you can take your pick by pressing an easy target.
Anyway I do agree with you that it is an annoying extra step, it is a good thing it can be disabled (see previous post).
hi
any idea why my elf does not have 3 options but only 1 "enable sound when finger scrolling and panning"
Is there any workaround to turn off the touchflow?
maybe it's because I was flashed the rom to an "original orange" version?
thanks

Same here, but I found this registry key that helped me (i really hate the big system status menu!) :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeTitleBar\Enable which must be 0 to disable it! You don't even need to reboot, works instant!
Ever since I updated the ROM, I really hate that big system status screen.
I thought I would have had to live with it, so I am very glad to found this thread.
Thanks guys!!!

LoL,
I read your first message and BAM! It worked!!! (last of 3 check boxes)
THANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNK UUUUUUUUUU
(I have a cooked rom for my Tilt/Kaiser)
Start|Settings|System|Touchflo| uncheck "Show System Status screen when status icons are tapped"
Start|Settings|Personal|Today|Items| uncheck "TouchFLO 3D"
Settings > System > Touchflo > untick Show system status....
EDIT: oops, didn't see the 2nd page.
i need help :/
sorry this doesnt really relate to the other posts i dont know how to post a message on my on. (just registered today)
But does anyone know how to change the clock on the title bar on the top of the HTC Touch Pro from a clock icon to the normal digital clock. i somehow changed it while on the phone and i just CANT figure out how to change it back.
If anyone can please help me i would reallyyyy appreciate it!

Remove HTC Notification Manager

I apologize if this has been covered already, but I've been searching for a few days now with no luck finding any help.
The HTC Notification Manager, is kind of a PITA, IMHO (apolgies, again, to those who <3 it). I've lost the ability to just tap and access volume control; if I accidentally bump the taskbar, Notification Manager hijacks my screen; and none of the features seem to work for me (I tap and tap and tap and tap/hold, but zilch - just stays on the Notification Manager screen... Grrr!)
But, I can't find any info on how to get rid of the blasted thing.
Would someone pretty please point the way?
I'm so frustrated I'm *this close* to just wiping the memory and reinstalling (which is such a royal hassle!)
My stress level thanks you (in advance).

No problem - download TaskManagerEx , go to services , and disable "HTC Notification manager" , then soft reset
I did as you said guys and disabled the HTC notification Manager, but now another problem shows up, i cant open the battery from the taskbar, It doesnt do anything when i press on the battery icon, but the rest works fine, any solution?? and is there another version of htc notification manager other than the one i disabled that is better??
Hey Guys I just found a very cool Solution replacing the Notification Manager, go to this link "http://mbarvian.freehostia.com/2008/10/22/all-extracted-opaljade-applications-cab-and-oem-package-included/" and download This File "http://myunspace.com/?d=83C3DE071" and install, then soft reset then Its finished, the old system status again.... Please note, Disable the HTC notification Manager Before Installing it.

Download symbol weirdness...

Hello everyone.
I have not seen this issue discussed but hope that someone may have an answer.
Every now and then I will have the Fullscreen symbol (chevron) "stuck" in my taskbar/launcher when I'm offline. The odder thing is, is when I then go online and surf/download something the symbol is not there. So it's basically reversed. The only "fix" is to reboot.
Any ideas?
Cyanogenmod, nightly 221 at the moment (though I have tried several newer).
As a side note, this has also happened on my HP Touchpad w/ Cyanogenmod.
dl icon...
Its not a download icon. Its a soft button to hide the status bar
Sorry, but it's not. It normally displays when I open an IP camera, browser, etc.
For whatever reason it reverses itself at times.
Tapping it does nothing as it's not a button.
Edit:
Funny. I took a screen shot while it was on the screen, and it doesn't show up in the picture. All other icons/symbols show. LOL. Wth? I'll take a pic later and post it.
Edit: I re-read your post now. Picture attached with 7.1 download icon on the right, and what I assume is your icon you are talking about on the left. Is that correct?
No, that's not it. I get that one when downloading from the Market, etc. Thanks for the effort though.
Here is a pic of it. It's the far right lower (Chevron) one. Like two inverted arrows. Known as a "Chevron" as it looks like Chevrons (gasoline) logo.
It's got to be something to do with being online, browsing, etc.
Ahhh the mystery of it all.
It's no mystery. I thought that was it (I'm just using a different CM7 bar than you).
Go to Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Tablet Tweaks > Choose soft-buttons and tell me what you have selected.
Home, Menu, Back, Quick Notifications. That's it.
Only thing I can think of is the Fullscreen/Hide Status bar button. Comeone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm still sure that is what it is.
If you open an application that requests full screen (like Netflix or Angry Birds) and press it, does it hide the status bar?

I opened my IP camera app and pressed the icon, and yes, the status bar disappeared (how do I get it back?). But why is the icon showing when I'm not using any app? ie: like it is now.
So now when I open my IP camera app there's no status bar. I don't see a way to get it back. Probably something simple, but I can't find it.
~~
Confirmed that although "Home" is set to restore the Status Bar, it does not. Tried Volume Up, etc. to no avail. Something's buggy. Only a reboot restores things.
Also. Disable Full Screen is checked.
Yeah, looks like the hide bar to me too.
The field under;
Settings -> CM Settings -> Tablet Tweaks -> (Interface) Choose Unhide Button
Is supposed to allow you to pick a button to show the statusbar again.
--Edit--
Just saw your edit, yeah, I have mixed success with the unhide button too.
Not all applications request full screen if I'm right.
Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Tablet Tweaks > Choose unhide button
Most people choose the N button to unhide, then press it again to go to home.
Well I hope this helps someone else. I just found this old post:
"I had the same problem. Went into the ADW Settings menu and scrolled to the bottom and "Reset ADW".
I reset and all is back to normal, AND the home key now brings back the Status Bar as it should! Yay!
I wish I could edit the thread title to "Fullscreen" symbol weirdness, but I can't.
Thanks for the effort guys.

Sorry if my edits messed up the timeline.
There was a bug that I fixed by resetting ADW. Phew.
Thanks again.

AT&T 950U Oreo question - remove Battery Fully Charged notification

I've searched and can't find any info on this. I've tried many combinations using AutoNotification and SystemUI Tuner but I can't seem to get the notification off my status bar and notifications when the battery is fully charged. This was not on my Note8 when I had Nougat.... I do NOT want to hide all Android System notifications, so please don't suggest swiping, hitting the cog for settings for this notification, and disabling notifications completely from Android System.
Thanks in advance!

1) Swipe the notification banner
2) Tap the gear icon
3) select Battery Full
4) select Importance
5) select Low
This will hide the notification in a less-obtrusive narrow label titled Android System Info but will not entirely remove it. I haven't found any workaround that removes it altogether.

You started your account here on XDA with this being your first post to say the exact thing I said would not hide it and you mentioned it would not hide it. Thanks, I guess???
Does anyone have any SOLID answers?

Thank you! This worked on my Samsung S7. After selecting Battery Full, I was also able to remove the annoying notification from the lock screen. I had previously tried going through regular Settings >Notifications > Advanced >Show System Apps with no success.
I appreciate you taking the time to help.

Question [Origin OS Ocean] How to get push notification from various apps (like social and messaging)

Like the title say, I'm in trouble getting the notification of any app I install : I disabled vivo.pem as suggested in one other thread and allow notofication per single app (that were turned off before) and last disabled the background battery optimization for those apps.
No luck after all, as nothing show up when I send whatsapp mess e.g.
Any ideas?

I had to use the uninstall command on vivo.pem to get my notifications to work, disable didn't help me on the latest firmware.
Also, check the app permissions, hold down app, info, app permissions.
Turn off (remove permissions if app isn't used)
Single permission settings (turn all on the switches), you can also review permissions
Go back 2 screens and select notifications, select all sliders and then check your desired app notification is going out via priority display.
Finally go to settings, battery, background power consumption management, and change the setting for the app you want to not sleep by choosing high background power usage.
So annoying, I know, too many settings and easy to forget one
Good luck!

Thanks for the time spent in the long answer; however still no notifications on the tested app (whatsaap) with all the reccomended settings.
Is since 2015 I think that I don't have a chinese firmware phone and the things have changed, in fact, before, was enough to install play store and all the notification were received without further settings.

Hey Guys,
i also did every setting as told and my Notification for especially WhatsApp isn't working at all.
Sometimes it does, but then all of a sudden it just refreshes when I open the App itself.
I even put it down in the Bar with the 5 Main Apps, in hope those would be refreshed or kept alive in the Background.
Not sure anyway what you mean with uninstalling vivo.pem.
Suckz kind of, because apart from that it really is a great Phone... aside from Android Auto not working.

You have to plug in phone on computerand run ADB command to uninstall vivo.pem.
Vivo.pem is a system that aggressively shut down apps to save battery power, to much shut downs and notifications stop working.
Check the thread "Origin Os initail review" on here and you will find out how to do it. Takes only 10 minutes

After doing the uninstalling did it stop the issue?
I uninstalled, rather than disabled, their power saving vivo.pem, ensured all my apps had priority permissions for notifications, disabled battery saving, and added them to 'autostart' in their respective permissions, and I get proper notifications for all the social media and messaging apps. The only small glitch come with Google Messages which won't display notifications in system wide dark mode. You can get around that by enabling the 'chat bubbles' option in Google Messages settings as they do work in dark mode.
Notifications are not the only issue , i cannot select Mock gps location app in Developer Mode ...
I press on the app i want to use ,but nothing happend , the app is not selected .
Anyone noticed that too ?
Thanks
There is no need to uninstall vivo.pem, I think. Just some few steps:
1. Go to recent apps and lock it.
2. Settings -> Apps & permissions -> App manager -> WhatsApp -> Permissions -> Single permission settings -> Autostart and Startup enabled.
3. Settings -> Battery -> Background power consumption management -> WhatsApp -> Select high background power usage.
4. Settings -> Battery -> More settings -> Disable Sleep mode.
Works fine for me.
Do you use Whatssup? after the latest OS update it cannot connect to linked devices
