Hello friends, today I have accidentally found new method to view camscreen or anyother application while unfolded state by using a simple magnet (Car mobile holder) placed on the rear side of the mobile.
It will be useful to capture high resolution Selfies using rear cameras just like Huawei Mate Xs, Nubia Z20 and Vivo duex screen models.
Now, we have to find a way to trigger Magentic (Hall) sensor by using Tasker or adb methods without using magnet ? on the back.
a quick question about this,
does this damage anything in any way? or is it "just a magnet" magical thing?
this would be great to use, but also annoying to carrying a magnet around everywhere. lol
Its just the magnet thing. no damage to the mobile on long term use i guess. Be careful not to scratch the outer screen while using the magnet. This is temp. hack. May be in future, mod developers can provide some hack/app to trigger this without using any magnet.
Hello!
Do you know any software based solution for this?
I want to charge the buds while using the front screen unfolded
My latest update has switch to do this on camera app
Yes, for camera it's true, but I would like to use the cover screen while the phone is opened. Anyone on XDA knows a patch/hack by any chance?
What do you mean?

Is there a case without the hole for the camera? My job doesn’t let me have a cell phone with a camera and it would be great if I could find a case that covers the camera.
Thanks,

Did you actually remove the camera? If so, how does WP7 handle the camera missing? Is the chrome bezel around the camera removable?
I have the same issue you have, my workplace is strictly no cameras but they will allow a phone with the camera removed.
Isnt there a sticker cover you can get on ebay?
So I have this pretty ridiculous problem with the camera flash. It simply ruins pictures if used, which is why I've taken all my pictures so far without it, increasing exposure if needed (with various results).
I've attached a picture I just took with Superior Auto mode and flash enabled (Auto mode aswell).
As you can see, there is a clear bright gradient at the bottom of the picture which is impossible to get rid of.
What is this and is it really a buggy flash issue or can it be fixed on my own?
I have the protective screen applied to both sides of the phone, could that be causing this?

there is special protector for camera lens that is very tiny u should apply one of them
if u just use a screen protector that cover all around the camera it may cause the reflect and then ths kindda img
after that play with setting; zoom, brightness and etc
i never had problem with XZ camera
also search for another threads about XZ camera that will be useful
do this;
9MP
HDR on
Brightness 0
Focus mode Multi auto-focus
White Balance auto
metering Center/Average

I received the plastic protectors with the phone, but I didn't see anything other than the two sheets for both sides of the screen. Isn't it supposed to come bundled with those?

What for?
That because your back glass is not fit properly either cause by overhearing or something.
To confirm this, try give a little pressure near the camera as you will see the different.

Oh well, removed it altogether and it's ok now. Don't really need it because the phone is in a flip case like this (just black): images.mobilefun co uk/graphics/productgalleries/38122/muvit-slim-leather-style-flip-case-for-sony-xperia-z-white-p38122-a.jpg
It really sucks that something as minor as 1/10th of a millimeter offset can ruin pictures so easily.
I was wondering why official case of moto G is at 1700 Rs. I though it is only brand and may be better build quality.
So, I just went with some local case with around 400 Rs.
Later I came to know two features of official moto G.
1. It has hall effect sensor. What it does, when case is open, it switch on display and when case is closed, it switch off. How it does it, there is small magnet in case. When case is closed, magnetic field detected by hall effect sensor which switch off display. When open, magnetic field removed and display on.
2. It has magnetic snap. So, magnet in case stick to mobile to keep it close.
I bought small magnet half the size of button. I checked the phone reacting when magnet is placed near phone for both the effect. But what I found, there are two locations for each effect.
I have attached snap for that.
Can anybody using offcial case confirm that my observation and marked location is correct?
If so, I may try to make my cheap cover acting like official smart cover with small magnets I have.

Ok...I am lost a bit.
Can anybody say what that shiny square at back is exactly and what role does it play?
and @TouGHBoY17, can you tell where is the exact location of magnet in cover by placing small pin near it?
It think it is not an easy DIY for making this cover because when I Remove the flip cover and put the front cover on the screen and remove it from the screen it lights up automatically even if have not fitted the cover. If I place the front side of the cover vertically upside down on the phone and then remove it there is no change

What you are telling makes the task easy.
That means it has nothing to do with back cover.
There shall be some magnetic media in front cover at right side middle which enables hall effect sensor. See my snap in OP.
I have tested it with small magnet and it does work.
Just want to confirm if same thing happen in original moto cover also.
So, I asked to check that magnetic field with small pin in front cover.
Ok I found the location is in eight down side easiest way to find that lactation is look at the right back side of your phone you can see the pattern to hold the cover near the screw at back edge side it is that location where the magnet is placed on the phone flip cover and the magnet is very strong

I've got the same problem. The p30 pro overexposes erratically when shooting outdoors. Even when forcing the app to focus and measure on a specific part of the image (by tapping on the screen on specific spots of the image), the exposure is too bright. Even when a temporary improvement can be noticed the image will return to an overall overexposure after a few seconds.
Switching to the PRO settings in the camera app, and making adjustments by hand, gives no solution since the overexposure persists.
This behavior started approx a month ago. I'm currently on build 10.1.0.161.
I would appreciate your feedback.
An example: i.postimg.cc/fbfhZXD9/IMG-20201104-103830.jpg
And even worse: i.postimg.cc/G2PPXLPr/IMG-20201104-102341.jpg
The last picture on the same moment with an Huawei Mate 20: i.postimg.cc/8zFhqBdZ/IMG-20201104-102415.jpg
The same here
Have the same problem with 2 devices, 1 device was tried several times to repair but does not work at Huawei service, I got a new device at the end. Other device here with me is and I've tried everything, but does not work normally. Tried downgrade from 10.1 to 10.0 no success, then downgrade to 9.1 no success, if TOF sensor shut then no overexposure, I suspect the TOF sensor is broken.

I did a full reset of the phone but the problem persists. The overexposure makes me think of a charge building up on a sensor. Hence the erratic behaviour and the preference for overexposure when outdoors.
My device started overexposing after the backplane was replaced. Seems to me these things are hard to disassemble and even harder to put together again without wrecking something.
Anyway I sent it in for repair. We'll see what becomes of it.
I've noted this problem on my p30 pro... I did rest camera app and delete cash files but the problem still... Do you find a solution
I also encounter this ob my p30 pro. Isnt there any official statement on this? If the problem is the TOF sensor xan we turn it off
any uddates, same problme here after screen replacement...
Focus on the wall or another area if you want focus on sky?
I don't have this issue on my P30 Pro - VOG-L29 - 11.0.0.138

this happens because inside, there must be a rubber grommet around the sensor. I opnened my phone and is missing, because huawei replaced the screen and didnt put it back again. Im going to have to go again to the store and make them realize, luckyly i have 2 p30 pro and i can show them the missing piece. But to solver ur phone must be oppened
I have the same problem, pls can you show me with pictures how can i cover the tof sensor. I covered the tof sensor (this eye under the flash) with duct tape but no fix. The problem appeared after screen and back cover replacement. When i don't put the back cover i dont have the problem, its working good so im little bit confused.

The problem is the rubber grommet that is written above. I accidentally lost this part but thank god i have similar spare parts from other phone and i managed to install it to this phone. And voila the problem gone.
also encountered this issue, i thought the reason its just after i upgrade the emui 11. But its not. I remember after i brick my lcd and replaced it, in the back camera in TOF sensor there is a rubber surrounding the tof and the "Flood illuminator aperture", they forgot to return back the rubber surrounding it.
The purpose of this rubber cover surrounding it is to protect the too much light ambient that reflects it to the flash and asl aperture reflection glass. But since the technician lost its rubber that surround the tof sensor, we put a small black tape between the als aperture reflexion glass and the flood illuminator aperture.
After we done it, my camera exposure back to normal. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi, but in this case all looks that phone has been opened by someone - I have just bought now one - Believe is new - but form the description and solution you are giving, looks that has been only sold as a new, not refurbished.
I have new emui 11.0.0.159.
Phone is still with warranty - I think will have to go to the Huawei Service to manage it, because opening phone by myself will crash the warranty.

I am currently traveling through Asia and I thought it would be a good idea to visit the official Huawei Service on my last day in Kuala Lumpur for a battery replacement. Well, the battery is great again but all my pictures are overexposed now so I bet they lost that rubber part. Problem is that I already traveled to Indonesia so I can't bring the phone back to the store.
Taping the TOF lens with black electrical tape didn't do the trick for me although it seemed to work when I was covering the sensor with my finger. Now I'm wondering if it is really a problem with light leaking and not heat?
PS: after going to Huawei in Malaysia, my German Huawei warranty is void. This sucks!

Hello,
I need some help from the xda community.
Just recently bought S21 Ultra, but I have an issue while using S pen with any application that has push sensitivity recognition just in one spot.
For example 'Infinite painter' or 'art flow' with sensitivity brush like 6B pencil.
I'm not completely sure that it is hardware (display) issue of this phone or all S21 Ultra have this issue.
I want to ask someone to try it either to confirm or deny. If it is the issue of this particular phone, I still have some time to change the device.
Thanks for your help!

Okay well in that case I would say a faulty digitizer, I guess you should get it replaced ( under warranty )
I've seen many users having a similar issue which was triggered by a magnetic case thats why I asked about it ;-)

yeah, I've googled this issue, I know about magnets. But it looks like there is something underneath the screen that produces some magnetic interference. And it works with very big pressure... I was just wondering if everybody has this issue and just don't care\know, or it is just me. That's why I've asked somebody to test it.

So, as I understand - you did try S-pen with any application that support sensitivity recognition in this area and it works? The general notepad or any other application that is just for writing works in this area of the screen. The problem is only with push-level recognition.
How do I enable the pressure sensitivity?
Here is what I achieved on my S21 Ultra (snapdragon, USA t-mobile variant) using an older s-pen taken from an older note. But when I used different pressure, the Infinite Painter app acted like the pen was either on or off, but no gradients in between. Like I dragged the pen across the screen and pushed harder and softer, but the result was just no ink when too soft, and pure black when hard enough or harder. Nothing in between. Is this because my s-pen is too old, or did I need to turn on a setting in the phone or the app? I selected the 6B pencil in the app.

I don't have infinite painter or any other painting app, but I tried my S pen on Samsung notes and there doesn't seem to be any irregular spots on the screen. Both tracing and pressure work on all parts of the screen as far as I can tell. I used my Tab S7's included S-Pen.

Thank you! Now I'm wondering if it is S-pen issue. Just noticed that if I hold the pen almost completely 90 degree to the screen, it just works fine on this spot.
