Great job @GenXinvenits for sorting out the charging disaster on custom rom of MM2, QC 3.0 properly working as it worked on stock and also smart charging feature is v helpful for increasing battery life. PS: Smart charging never worked despite it was listed in custom roms customization menu.

The quick charge is nice. Security patch could be more up to date though.

Why is my phone not charging?
It says the following in the Battery Settings:
plugged in, can't charge right now.
Please help. This is a good rom and I want to use it as my daily driver.

Update: Charging is working fine with Mi Chargers. I was using a Samsung Charger, thus the problem.
Everything works fine. I repeat everything works fine.
But,
1) SOT is around 4 hours max (pretty low for 5300 mAh battery)
2) "Small" Display Size in Display settings is still big. Pixel Experience had "Smallest" Display Setting, which is missing here.

Yes the sot is pretty bad. Sometimes it doesn't deep sleep at all.

Anyway to turn off the constant ON lockscreen?
ROM Works fine, except there's this lockscreen that's constantly ON. That's the only thing I don't like with this rom.
It seems on top of the supposed to be lockscreen.
I've been tinkering with the settings and I can't find a way to turn it off.

Use DPI option under settings>display and set it to 500 or further more if you want smaller display size. :good:

YT Music is a default app, however when I start it asks me to Select account. I have a premium account however when I tried to sign-in (on stock ROM it would automatically sign-in) it shows me that the Account already exists and therefore I cannot use it. I am able to update it but after that again the same thing. I am not even able to uninstall and reinstall it as it is a default app.
Any help on this issue ?
Else everything else is working as expected. The sound quality is good, calling is awesome. Battery lasting well, display quality is crisp and vibrant.

Well, he calls it "balanced" mode, but really, it's battery saving mode vs non-battery saving mode.

Get GravityBox [MM] from Xposed > Lockscreen tweaks> Disable Imprint vibrations.
I highly recommend NOT using this for anything else unless you know how the MIUI source interacts with the base code of android.
So far, I haven't seen too much difference between the dev rom except the centered clock lol. Honestly, the only thing that's nice is that I didn't have to flash Xposed myself + it has an annoying boot logo animation.

New feature in quick ball to swipe to the edge of the screen to hide Quick ball is not available... this feature is available in Developer rom 6.9.8

I use my phone for 1. Hotspot for my iPad and 2 lots of online music , hopefully the battery will still last.

Overnight drain about 18% , nothing changed expect ambient display was turned on. Any battery tips ,had really good battery on the first day but seem like it's going down, all apps greenified . Using enabled battery optimisation for gms too battery saver always on

Turn off ambient display to save battery overall. I also found out a while back that sometimes ambient display doesn't turn off, I'm not sure what causes it but it's like ambient display starts acting like an always on display and that burns our battery since the whole screen have to light up on kenzo. That's most likely what have happened.
I'm not using this rom but the ambient display bug seems to happen on most roms. :good:

I don't think it's a bug on most roms. There's an option in ambient display setting, the option is "Always on", you might want to turn that off

Yes I know about that option, that exist in some roms. I've been using arrow for a while now so I can't comment on the latest updates of every rom but from my experience ambient display setting seemed bugged more often than not. For example it could go pulsing when a notification appeared for several minutes. It might be fixed now I'm not sure. I don't have that bug on arrow anyway.
It might have been that bug that caused that guys phone to drain 18% over night. I just thought that I should share my experience and hopefully it'll help someone else.

A really plain and clean rom but troubled screen shutdown with the 3rd part application and the screen dialing with finger touching because of the search app below.
The main screen should be able to remove without asking google search / siri option at the bottom and the home screen must be double click close.

Though I am not able to complete understand what you want to say but looks like you want some features to be added in Android pixel launcher... WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE... YOU CAN USE THIRD PARTY LAUNCHER LIKE ROOTLESS LAUNCHER... Edit whatever you want in that launcher (excellent launcher).. Regarding slow search in contacts I personally tested it and it's fine here..

No ambient display problem here... Also overnight drain with 4G data always on in my phone is 4-5%.. Which can reduce to 2-3% if I switch off mobile data... You might have this problem because battery is not properly calibrated... Let phone discharge completely and charge phone upto 100% in switched off condition.. Than discharge it again till it switched off itself... Than charge to 100% in switched off condition again and now battery is properly calibrated.. If problem still persist than most probably battery has reached its end of life (EOL)..

NFC is not working for me. Also can't get the phone working with 2 different car android auto head units.

I only tested for a short time, but there are things that need attention.
- Bluetooth audio not working for me
- FOD only active when the display is on (MIUI always on)
- When using auto-brightness and FOD: display flashes to max brightness for a second
- When using pattern and FOD: on device reboot it requests pattern input, but FOD is partially covering it up
- Notification bar looks weird in a few app (too tall) for example in LINE
- Notification bar needs like 10px of padding on the sides to make up for rounded corners
- USB debugging turns back on on device reboot
I can provide photo, video and logs if you tell me which and how.
Everything else seems to work great so far!
Battery life equal or better than MIUI (with light usage)

Working hardly to fix all bugs :3

I have only 1 month with the phone and for me it has been strange to be all this time with the global stock rom.
Always in all the xiaomis I have had after unboxing I open boot, install twrp recovery and flash some custom rom, mainly the EU but also Lineage. It was an unpleasant surprise for me not to find custom rom or developers for this phone. So I appreciate very much what they are doing especially because the cell has been on the market for several months

Read all the steps correctly
BUGS:- bluetooth ear/headphones do not work workaround- ( go into phh treble settings misc features and enable force-disable a2dp offload (thanks to @Lil_Boudy for figuring it out!)
If bluetooth crashes your system disable media recommendations under Sound & Vibration > Media > Show media recommendations
mtp not working (mtp does work in twrp and in some custom kernels the one linked here does not fix mtp as it is not changing too many things compared to other custom kernels which brick some phones)
sim 1 incoming and outgoing does not work (you can revieve calls and call but you wonth hear anything nor will your mic go trying to fix) (workaround is to put your sim into slot 2) (i have heard that other people dont have this issue so i guess try your luck)
DO NOT let the phone die of battery you will not be able to boot and it will be hard to get back into the system (workaround- in magisk install acca https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/acc and install this apk after installing https://github.com/MatteCarra/AccA then set profile to default (this will shut down the phone at 5% hence removing the risk of your phone not booting after hitting 0%

Get fast charging
by default a71 on pe charges really slow this enables fast charging for the a71 on dotos

Now install the module it will ask you to use volume keys follow the insturctions and choose 4500mah 27w once installed reboot! now enjoy faster charging (note: this will not affect battery/ will barely affect battery )
Increase performance and increase battery! (apps by feravolt and gloeysik)
Step 1
- Uninstall ANY OTHER KERNEL MANAGER app including smartpack/Ktweaks to avoid conflict, since this app uses AI and machine learning to dynamically boost performance when needed
- Install FDE AI Magisk Module to make it a system app, thus it will work better and removes all kernel locks from OEMs (I'm looking at you, Samsung) https://github.com/feravolt/FDE.AI-docs/releases/download/12.4.1m/FDE.AI-as-system-app.MAGISK.zip

Anyway i restarted my phone and everything is working fine since.
Edit: Did a reboot to test something and ended in crash dump mode again. ROM was great but thats nothing i can stand. The only other thing i was missing that i did not found how to use a icon pack.
Looking forward to try your rom again in the future thanks for your work.

I was on OOS 11.0.11.11_15.E.42 on both slots.
I assumed that i need to use OOS11. I did anything as described and right after rebooting out of the recovery i ended in crash dump mode.

Does this rom has OOS cam and dolby atmos ?
