Hello! my front camera does not pop up anyomore. Flashed persist img, and got the sensors back (sort of). Auto brightness still does not work. I have global version flashed, and all fixes i found were related to flashing that image. Which fastboot rom do i have to download?
Im running 12.0.08. vendor and latest evox.
Download the latest one from en.miui.com (fastboot rom) and flash the file using Flashtool. Try if that fixes. Data will get wiped and if you want to keep bootloader unlocked then uncheck bootloader lock option in the flashtool.

I have installed TWRP and then wipe everything(including Internal Storage accidentally). I installed xiaomi.eu stable rom and phone stuck at MI android screen. Then try xiaomi.eu beta rom it is same.
What should I do?
If you have unlocked BL use mi flash to flash stock rom
Flash stock rom using miflash 2018 (portable) since your bootloader is unlocked, make sure you choose clean all, DON'T choose clean all and lock at the bottom of miflash screen before you flash the rom, other wise your device will be bricked.

Thanks, it worked, I solved it by installing rom with fastboot and I know why TWRP doesn't work. Because of encryption. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389
So i already did some searching, but nothing yet, maybe i' m overlooking something
Soi did a full recovery with mi flash tool, no dice, then took the persist out of it and flashed it with twrp, no dice, so now i reverted back to Lineage since i can't stand MIUI, but yeah, now i still don't have sensors running
The fastboot image i used is 11.8, which is the euro image as far as i know (got my device here in europe), is there something i'm completely overlooking?
Had this issue with my Pixel Experience rom - do sensors work in Miui? If so, perhaps your method of flashing is dodgy/ the rom has issues.
Flash the permissive zip. It happens sometimes when it's set to enforcing. People were talking about it on Syberia 3.6 post, check it out, there's a link to download there.
I had this same issue as well. I solved it by reflashing back to stock with MiFlash tool and using V11.0.5.0 Stock MIUI ROM.
After that boot the phone and go through the initial phone setup process.
Then you can flash TWRP Recovery (twrp-3.3.1-0-cepheus.img).
In TWRP flash vbmeta.img. After that you can flash and boot your Custom ROM with sensors working.
Do not flash any other firmware file in TWRP. I have seen other ROM threads mentioning the need to flash a fw file but don't do that.
Hi All, it's time i clean up my K20 Pro as i have upgraded to a F2 Pro.
The K20 Pro has MIUI 10.3.17 CN ROM from about 10 months ago, bootloader unlocked, magisk etc.
When trying to miflash it with a MIUI 12.0.5 CN latest fastboot rom in order to get back to factory, the progress bar completes in 1 second, and status is green and success, BUT the phone does not reboot itself. Using miflash 20181115 with clean all option.
After i unplug phone and reboot it manually nothing was flashed - everything is still on there.
Any ideas?
Thought i would try doing factory reset from within the system and at first it appeared to be going thru the reset - however upon reboot, everything remains.
The other things is i have TWRP on it, wondering if i should do anything there?
Looking for assistance on what the correct procedure is...

Hi, how can one flash without miflash? and the miflash no believe is the last version I think.
Would prefer a miflash completely to get rid of TWRP too.
any other ideas why this is happening?

Xiaomi Flash Tool - Official Mi Flash Tool
Download the latest and Official Xiaomi Flash Tool from the Official Xiaomi Flash Tool Website.
xiaomiflashtool.com
try downloading latest flash tool from this website
if not then try flashing without flash tool and u will not be able to retain twrp if u flash fastboot rom by any means.
if flash tool doesn't work then just extract the zip i have attached here and paste all files of fastboot rom folder in this folder and run the flash_all.bat file and it should work if u have all drivers installed.
The newer miflash worked! thank you so much Ezio!
Would you happen to know if there is any way to get Google PlayStore onto a K20 Pro?
I saw some threads on 'just flash it with a global ROM' - which wasn't the case back a year ago when i had last tinkered.

yes i have an Indian k20 pro and i tried miui global rom it works fine except nfc didn't as Indian k20 pro doesn't have nfc hardware.
So yes u can do that if u want but do note that global rom has dialer and contact as well from google and not mi one.
I remember when I treid it a year ago it didn't work. The phone recognise the rom as for non-chinese and said the version was wrong. Are you sure?
Is the process same as fastboot flashing?
Guess of it doesn't work I should be able to fastboot flash it back again?
Thanks, I just found https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...Vaw1k6QstZklCOzbLJO2p_18T&cshid=1607339448068
I just have to remember not to lock the bootloader.
My front camera was not opening, it was repeatedly not calibrating and shows "Cud not calibrate" then I flashed persist img. even after that it did not fix then by mistake I erased the whole system in which include system/vendor/data/cache/ then my phone got stuck in fastboot then I flashed global rom and firmware from orange fox recovery. my phone got started but all the sensors stopped working including gyroscope/proximity/other sensors and i also tried flashing fastboot rom with mi flash tool but it is not working now what should i do please Help.
Yesterday I unlocked bootloader and tried to install custom rom.
Before that I disabled verity and flashed magisk patched boot.img.
Then I tried to install GSI custom rom.
I even succeeded in the attempt; I was able to install Pixel-experience gsi rom
But then came the issue, I was not able to register fingerprint.
So, I flashed stock rom. Still fingerprint does not work.
I don't have access to MSM flash tool. I tried to flash with italorecife's tool.
I couldn't flash some partitions with it. (Could flash them due to critical partition)
I even relocked the bootloader, still it doesn't work.
I am a newbie, so if someone could guide me on how to use MSM tool, or how to properly flash the stock rom.
Any help is appreciated.

After removing the GSI rom, flash the PERSIST partition in fastboot inorder to fix your FP problem.
