1- in stock roms maybe work on custom roms
2-boot in to download mode and flash vbmeta.tar via odin in ap
3-after that reboot to recovery by pressing vol+ and power and clear data and cache in stock recovery
4- reboot again in to download mod and now flash twrp via odin in ap
5-reboot to twrp recovery by pressing vol+ and power and slide right to modify. Click wipe, click format data, type yes after that go back and reboot to recovery. slide right to modify, click mount, if mount system partition read-only is checked, back out and reboot back to recovery and check mount again, it should now be unchecked. . Try again flash 4 file frimware and let device start to system after that reboot to download mod and flash vbmeta.tar and let your device start to system
After that reboot to stock recovery and wipdata and cach and reboot to download mod and now flash twrp
The wrong is with your bootloader if you cant fix it try to search your problem in google
You are not only one have this problem

I did every thing from scratch. Even lock and unlock the bootloader.
I am tring to make sence. Vbmeta is "verified boot". So the idea is trick the phone with our own bootloader so that we can flash twrp.
Since i cant flash twrp, vbmeta should be updated.
Am i right?

Unlock bootloader, factory reset, unsure oem is unlocked and grayed out in settings >developer options.
Then flash vbmeta, manual reboot to download mode, flash twrp, boot to twrp, factory reset in twrp , flash magisk zip then factory reset again, now boot system.
The vbmeta you flash is empty and allows flashing third party zips.

Hiii, i did almost everthing, but when i boot in recovery and go to mount, system partition read-only is checked. already tried 4 for times reboot to recovery but still checked.
Yes, i slide right to allow to modify. Any suggestion ?

Go ahead with the steps. Ignore mount system.
Let's see what happens
Worst scenario, you soft brick the phone or bootloop which can be fixed by flashing stock rom again.
Make sure you have stock rom and you backup your data

Any way to pass SatefyNet?

Instal this path in Magisk:

Im using Note 5 N920C at lastest stock Nougat firmware (N920CXXS4CRA2)
i've got a very headache when try to flash twrp (to flash custom rom) but my N920C still get stuck at Samsung logo
Prepare: unlock OEM, Odin 3.12, TWRP 3.2.1.0, SuperSU-v2.82
1. Try flash TWRP by Odin. reboot get stuck. Try to reboot to Recovery, wipe cache -> phone get reboot all the time
2. Back to Stock FW, try to flash TWRP. This time reboot to Recovery, allow system modifications -> flash N920_Nougat_Root_SuperSU_No_kernel_included script -> reboot and stuck
3. Back to Stock FW, try to flash TWRP. This time reboot to Recovery, allow system modifications -> format data -> reboot to recovery -> flash supersu -> reboot and stuck again
4. Back to Stock FW, TWRP allow system modifications > wipe data> reboot recovery > allow system modification> wipe data, system, cache, dalvik/art > flashed 'dm-verity and force encryption disabler' > flashed 'super-su' > flashed Custom ROM -> Stuck again
5. If i flash Lineage OS (or CM rom) via TWRP, it works without any issue

1: Flash the rom after you wipe system, data & cache.
2: Let it boot for the first initial setup & setup your phone with language & country etc.
3: Restart your phone to twrp recovery then flash supersu & dm verity.
Let me know.

No.... After flashing stock through Odin, let the device boot for initial setup dude. Don't flash twrp...!
After the phone setup is done you can go back to download mode & flash twrp.
There is no need to format data for rooting your device dude.
Just flash supersu & no verity... You will be fine.
Stock rom or custom ROM follow my words.

In your first post you have stated that you are not able to flash custom rom but now you are telling me that your phone is stuck even when Flashed with stock rom....!
I'm confused about what's happening here because the methods you have stated will not work in any case scenario as base ROM is required to flash - root to system or any mods so without rom you can't root any phone by flashing supersu first before even flashing rom that's the logical here.
There is no my method or your method but there is a universal step by step method which you clearly need to understand.
But anyways I can't help you anymore as I have no video to assess your process.
As a last resolution I will suggest one more method, if you can boot your phone to stock recovery then you can reset your device by factory reset which will again wipe everything within the phone so proceed with caution(just mentioning) so once you wipe your phone through stock recovery. Let me know. It has to boot in my opinion.
Before you do this try to reflash official & latest firmware which will be the January security updates through Odin with default settings.
After you get Odin pass message, it will automatically reboot so wait for 30 minutes max. If nothing happens press & hold volume down & power key to reboot device & as soon as the screen goes off to reboot, you will have to enter to recovery mode by holding on to volume up, power & home key as you already will know (just mentioned) then wipe to factory reset. Reboot.
Let me know if this works.
If not I'm located in Bangalore so if you are from Bangalore then I might help you. Again no fees or charges (just mentioned)
Or
Try this rom:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/rom-t3607729
Or take it Samsung official Store to find out if your device has any issues with power chips or so..!

OK you have to state what version twrp you are flashing?
Now if it's just recovery then I would say to try TWRP 3.1.1.0 which is most stable version in my view.
Note: Re-download all Twrp tar, Supersu & no verity zip.
First flash twrp & then let the device boot to home screen.
Second reboot to recovery by hard keys.
If you see stock recovery go back to download mode flash twrp & go back to recovery without booting as you are doing but this time just swipe to allow modifications & reboot to recovery again.
Without flashing anything just reboot from recovery to system.
Thirdly if you device reboots to home screen then again get back to twrp recovery & now flash supersu & no verity zip & restart device. You should be able to solve this.

Hi there it's not that difficult i've faced the same issue with my n920c
Solution: Install the TWRP recovery just like normal but when the device is rebooting and black screen shows up Press and Hold [Power+home+vol down] until you see TWRP screen
Please Note: this is really important to press and hold while rebooting ...
After this you can normally reboot to recovery there would be no problem
Good luck !

Galaxy A6+ unable to install ROM Stock by ODIN

Hello friends, I've been trying to fix a giant problem with my son's cell phone for three days ... He asked me to rotate it, but I brickee it, I comment on what happens and what I did:
specs:
Glaxy A6 + (SM-A605GN)
1-install TWRP by ODIN (Correct installation)
2-Install TWRP files "force_encryption_disabler, RMM State Bypass and non-verity-opt-encrypt (I think here is my mistake, since I do not know the functions of these files, in my time of Flasheo does not exist) I take it out of this tutorial: androidinfotech.com/root-samsung-galaxy-a6-plus-2018-sm-a605f-fn-gn-pie/)
Error 3-First; I didn't have access to the internal memory in the TWRP, so I followed this tutorial youtube.com/watch?v=bqyVQCGlyqs) to change the partition system so I could access the internal memory correctly
4- Install the Magisk correctly through the TWRP
5- Restart (And my hell began) ...
a- TWRP informs me that I did not have OS installed on reboot
b- When restarting the screen it tells me: Set guarantee bit: Kernel (in yellow)
c- Try to install the Firmware Stock by Odin, but I can't, it doesn't throw me an error, but it doesn't install anything at all, IT KEEPS ME THE TWRP INTACT
d-Download a Modified ROM, the installation by TWRP and it was installed correctly, but the SIM card does not work (I assume it is because it has a different modem) and I get an error for almost everything L
I want to go back to the Stock ROM but ODIN does nothing ... Please I need your help.
I can access Download and TWRP mode.
discuss the translation ...
Friends, any ideas ?? ... any help is appreciated.
As you already flashed twrp, so i think you know how to go download mode. Just see any youtube video how to flash stock rom on s8/s9. Download your latest firmwere from sammobile or samfrew and flash. Procedure is same as s8 or s9.

What kind of error? or it flashes perfectly? Give us something.. Photo of odin and your phone's download mode screen...
When you first time booted twrp, you needed to click on wipe > format data. This will decrypt your phone (and it wipe your internat storage) then you can flash rmm and no verity. After that, click on reboot > recovery and then reboot > system (or flash magisk). Recommended to flash latest rmm and no verity.

My k20 pro isnt booting up

I tried installing custom rom for the first time now i did it with xiaomitool but it gave error that it couldnt wipe data and my phone stuck on boot.
Then on my phone i booted to twrp and frm there i wiped dalvik cache and data with a wrappedkey error but i continued and flashed pixel exp plus and formatted data and when i rebooted system i again got stuck there
Then once again i went to twrp and tried wiping dalvik cache and data again but this time with wrappedkey amd some decrypted error to and formated data and then tried rebooting to system. Again nothing worked pls help my otherwose my parents are going to kill me
EDIT : Also my laptop has mac os so i think there isnt much i could do with pc and thats only why i used unofficial xiaomitool in the first place
If youre coming from xiaomi rom or xiaomi eu rom you need to format data ( option in twrp where you type yes) not just wipe data, then reboot to recovery (twrp) again and then follow instruction of rom you want to install. Some custom roms require flashing vendor firmware before flashing rom , then gapps , then magisk if you require root ( if magisk wont install then after flashing rom reboot to twrp again). Also xiaomitool is not ideal for installing custom rom but for recovery and fastboot roms ( one that came originally with phone when phone had locked bootloader, never tick wipe and lock)
Disregard my comment about xiaomitool, had thoght that you mean miflash tool
But how
That rom is not in my phone anymore nor i know how to install back to xiaomi rom btw my phone is indian varient
UPDATE
I once again tried flashing pixl exp plus using a diff tutorial which included flashing some disable force encryption and now my device wont even boot into twrp its stuck on fastboot mode.
Now i only hot two question :
1.) will i be able to charge my phone in fastboot mode (or any other way?)
2.) will i be able to flash stock miui rom in fastboot mode through my mac (or if theres any other way pls tell me)
Yes you will be able to charge through fastboot
Just flash twrp again thn boot into twrp and go to wipe - format data and type yes.
Until and unless you format data you will not be able to do anything
Thn download Indian vendor zip ,your required rom and disableforceencryption.zip in your pc and copy it to the phone while in twrp.
Go to wipe and wipe cache ,dalvik ,data, system, vendor
Thn flash vendor zip followed by rom and dfe
Now reboot
device is jusr stuck on fastboot

Only if you forget to change the option in the Mi Flash Tool, which is easily done if you're not paying attention. If the fastboot ROM is the correct version for the phone then you won't brick the phone if you forget to change the flash option. You will just need to unlock the bootloader again before doing anything else.
After flashing a fastboot ROM, boot into MIUI once so that the install finalises itself.
Then flash TWRP and boot into TWRP.
Do a factory reset, then format data. No need to wipe anything else.
Reboot into TWRP to ensure the newly formatted data partition is properly mounted.
Now copy across and flash the ROM of choice plus any optional extras.
There is no need to flash dfe files or vbmeta, etc.
Assuming you've flashed the latest fastboot ROM, then there's no need to flash vendor or firmware files.

Hello Bro. I flashed the latest firmware and the evolution x rom but now my phone is stuck on the redmi logo. I am able to go back to recovery but what do I do now?

Question How do i get Stock recovery to not replace TWRP when rebooting???

Tried a bunch of things to make the TWRP installation persistent, but it just goes back to MIUI recovery when i reboot from the system.
I'm using TWRP 3.5.2 by Nebrassy.
USB debugging turned on
Correct drivers installed
fastboot devices work Using minimal ADB and fastboot
I have the file renamed as TWRP.img.
Steps i followed:
fastboot boot "TWRP.img" - Correctly boots into TWRP
install the TWRP image to the recovery partition - Happens with no errors
Reboot to system - No errors there as well
Reboot to recovery - Goes back to MIUI recovery.
Can someone please tell me what i should do?
PS: Tried with TWRP 3.6.0 as well just now. Same issue.

Try again to flash TWRP dirty and if it's started don't boot with software. You have to boot TWRP again by pressing volume + and power button until you'll get vibration , afterwards you'll be in TWRP again, clear dalvik and cache and restart system via TWRP menu

Sorry mate that didn't work. Still going back to stock recovery...
Since i didn't find a solution to make the installation presistant, i went ahead and flashed Elixir with the temporarily booted TWRP. Then wiped cache and dalvik, flashed the TWRP image, formatted data and then rebooted. Now it works.
Edit: This method did something to my recovery. I can boot to system and recovery fine but TWRP isn't able to mount the data partition. So i'm not able to flash anything or root the device anymore.
I tried formatting data, no luck.
Then tried repairing the data partition. No luck.
Changed the file system to EX2 and then EX4... Nothing.
Anyone know a solution for this?

Would that re-lock the bootloader? And if so do i have to wait 7 more days for it to be unlocked?
I used the Disable-Dm-Verity-Zip directly in TWRP after installation. Worked without a problem.

1. With MiFlash there is an option at the bottom of the screen to lock bootloader. Just make sure it is NOT checked, and you will be safe to use MiFlash without relocking bootloader.
2. When installing TWRP for first time, it is essential that your first reboot is straight back to TWRP - then it becomes persistent, and future reboots to recovery will be to TWRP. If you do not do the first reboot back to TWRP, the stock MIUI ROM recovery reinstalls itself.

The first ever twrp install i did, i rebooted to system by mistake but i reflashed twrp and made sure to reboot to recovery.... That was the second try. I think i may have tried at least two dozen times since that but it just kept booting back to stock recovery...
I think I'll run with this until the end of Jan and then redo everything from scratch...

Question RECOVERY BOOTLOOP

Hello guys!
I am having a problem updating my current TWRP (version 3.52 came from one youtuber) to TWRP 3.6/OrangeFox.
I carefully follow steps. Even extracting my own rom boot.img just to flash it in accordance to said step. I successfully flash the said recovery but when i reboot to system or power off. It just keeps booting to recovery. Hoping for some enlightenment. Thank you!
1) you did not say what steps you did, or which tutorial you followed
2) what do you need twrp for?

Reboot your phone into fastboot mode
Download Blank VBmeta and flash it using fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Next, download TWRP .IMG file and flash it using fastboot flash boot IMAGE_NAME.img
Reboot into recovery mode (fastboot reboot recovery)
When booted into recovery, reflash stock boot.img (Install -> Install Image -> Select stock boot.img -> “Flash to: Boot”)
Next, go in Advanced -> Flash current TWRP and swipe to flash TWRP.
Reboot and enjoy!
That's the instruction given in a thread. I followed it but no luck. Keeps rebooting to recovery.
cant say if it works or not.
for rooting its better patch img and flash.

I already root my device . Just confused why the posted updated TWRP and Orangefox (both by Woomy) doesn't let me boot to system.
