Greetings, I have an LG V40 thinQ AT&T purchased from a third party, contact me AT&T and they cannot unlock it for free because the cel is financed and owes the invoice, the device is not blacklisted at the moment, I live in the Dominican Republic . anyone know any unlocking method?

I search through the forum but I could not find a way to solve my problem. I bought a Motorola Moto G 2nd (XT1063) from Movistar Chile, now I'm travelling through Argentina but when I put the new chip, the phone asks for a sim unlock code. I talked to Movistar Chile and Motorola support with no luck, is there a way to resolve this? If not, is there a trustworthy online code provider(I don’t mind to spare some bucks)?

I've seen a Moto X xt1097 here over in the UK but I thought the XT1097 only worked on American bands (AT&T)? When I spoke to the seller he assured me it will work here?
Is this right?
I've looked into it more and the bands seem to be compatible with the UK.
Well I managed to cancel the sale before it was sent out in the post. From what I have read the XT1097 is stuck on Lollipop and didn't get an official MM release because it was carrier locked to AT&T. Also the bootloader is a pita to unlock and it costs $25 to do.
Hi all I have just ordered the LG v40 in the uk and as far as I know it’s a Europe one but I’m no way sure..no clue..
can someone who’s cleaver than me tell me if this is the case and are the V40 regional or region locked? or what firmware will be on it?
