I still haven't received 10.1 on my vog l09(p30 pro vodafone on .185) and unlocked handset

anyone else has received it already?
it ia very concerning.
My P30 Pro is Three UK (branded but unlocked) and got the 10.1 update on June 4th.
My Mate 20 X 5G is on Vodafone (unbranded and unlocked) and the update for that was meant to be during June. I've tried swapping sim cards, and also using no sim via e-recovery and WiFi but the update hasn't arrived yet.
So I'm not sure if the particular network makes any difference.
I am sure of one thing though: Huawei suck at rolling out updates outside of China.

Hi, I brought this phone last year on contract with EE and it came on B138 and since purchase have not received any updates. Is this an issue with my phone or EE as I contacted them and they told me to format my phone which I don't fancy doing. Has anyone received a newer update than B138 on EE locked. Cheers ahead for any help
No, that is the latest from them.
I've just got a P9 Plus from O2 as a repair replacement. It's still running EMUI 4.1.1 and Android 6. It says no update is available in the options.
Anyone got any idea when EMUI5 will become available for a UK handset?

I believe O2 have had the firmware for testing for a while now, but haven't yet signed it off for Huawei to push to the handsets.
Using the O2 app I actually unlocked the phone today (my contract finishes this month). The unlock should take just a few days.
I'll be putting in a pay monthly (sim only contract) from 3 Mobile when the unlock has gone through.
So this might solve the problem anyway if it's an issue with O2 and not the handset or Huawei?

Probably not...once O2 have signed off the update *Huawei* push the update out. Your handset's IMEI number is linked to O2 firmware, so Huawei will ONLY push the O2 approved firmware to you...
Edit: I requested - and received - an unlock from O2 the day I bought the handset - about a year ago. No update...

What processor does the stock UK Note on contract have from EE?

All UK networks sell the Exynos 8995 model. Snapdragon is only USA, Canada, Japan and China (H.K. & Macau). It's on the Note 8 Wikipedia page BTW.
Just a word to the wise. I got my last phone, the Huawei P9, from EE on contract. They locked it down with their own BS version of the ROM, then withheld updates for it. Huawei released the P9 Nougat update and security patch in January, but up until I switched it off a month ago when I got my Note 8, there was no update. EE blamed Huawei.
If you get an EE one, be prepared to have to root it and get a stock ROM on there to stay current. EE are lazy assholes.
My note 8 is ee.and there is zero bloat ware from ee.no ugly ee boot screen and no nasty ee software. Built in.it looks like it's complety unlocked. I've all ready had 2 updates since I've had the phone for 2 months so it get the updates as soon as there released
There actually is a little bit of bloat on the EE/EVR firmware, they bundle My EE and Lookout Security. What you get over and above that is VoLTE, you can't get that with the generic firmware but you do get Wifi calling with both XEU and EVR, presumably with BTU also.
I haven't seen EE branding any Samsung devices for quite a few years now, so no issue there as haircut123 noted.
As for slow updates, it seems that EE's sluggish updates have been resolved for Samsung phones for a couple of years ago. Their updates for the S6 range were almost criminally slow, S7 didn't seem too bad and S8/Note8 are running just a few days behind from what I've seen.

Whoever you talk to they will explain how updates work and you just need to be patient. 2 months I was waiting on my 6.1 with no update. Moved up to the 7plus as apparently there were no update issues. There is with the august one. They wont even look into it just give you the same spiel how it's the carriers etc etv etc. Android one?????? Still a good phone though
Strange, I am on EE and still no update on my 1055 but got the August update on my Nokia 8 1012, same carrier, 2 weeks ago. Go figure.

Koodo still nothin tried everything vpn different sim cards, hisuite, hicare, no sim, erecovery, firmware finder. Just ordered a nano memory card if the update doesn't show up I'm following Silvio's guide to flash it

Well that's a f'in fine how do you do. Brand new owner gets the update while we long time users wait twiddling our thumbs. Huawei Canada tweeted it'd be done by the end of January so I know that's BS. It's the 31st and still no update in sight.
I'm with Koodo and the update took place two weeks ago.
