Hi.
I have a Teclast x98 Air 3G with Windows 10+ Android. Recently Android system is not working, only Windows.
Is it possible to format the tablet and install only an Android system?
How do you do that?
Thank you.

Hello
I installed Runcore SSD in my HTC Shift. Full name of SSD: Runcore Pro-IV Z18XX Series, RCP IV-Z1864-C, 1.8 "ZIF 5mm PATA. Firmware 1916 (latest version).
I can not install Win7 on SSD. When Windows starts copy data from CD to SSD, HDD LED from the laptop go off. At some times comes an error: could not be written on HDD, etc. ..
SSD is detected in BIOS. But you can adjust the HTC Shift only the time / date in BIOS. I can create and delete the partitions on SSD Win7 installation, etc. Format everything works. Once the copy process will start, rising from the SSD.
Win XP can be installed easily and runs well. I have already tested the following procedure:
1st SSD is connected via USB. All partitions deleted. Created new partition and formatted with NTFS. No improvement in Win7 Installation
2nd SSD is connected via USB. All partitions deleted and then started with naked SSD Win7 installation, created new partition. No improvement.
3rd Win XP installed and Win7 installed on XP. Installation was successful, until reboot. After the restart Win7 will quit when booting with a blue screen.
Has anyone a hint what can I test for?
Greeting
Paul
If you confirm that Windows XP runs perfectly I would suspect that there is something wrong with your Windows 7 installation what dvd are you using? maybe a broken version or scratched dvd or else..
I can confirm my windows 7 Ultimate installation was running good before I switched definetively to XP with my Mtron 3018 SSD.
By the way Windows XP is absolutely fastest over any other Os on Shift.
I have two Win7 CD's and Vista CD. All do not work.
Aww how can it be XP working and Vista - Seven not?
Please try to connect your ssd externally and format as Ntfs with min cluster size (512) , or load a boot cd with some Filesystem programs and do the same.
Then see if something will change during Windows installation.
And does this was happening before firmware upgrade? maybe there is some drivers conflict in windows 7 (try to revert back).
You would inspect about the bluescreen error after WinXp->WinSeven
Hello,
i bought a teclast X98 pro... But i think this issue could be the same on X98.
Under windows my SDcards are all fine...
In Android 5.1 i cant see my ext sdcard. I tried different SDcard sizes and partition formats ( fat, exfat)
i cant get it run... In the settings i see one SD card (disabled, means grey options)
Four USB-storages (disabled, means grey options)
I think this could be normal for all the windows partitions right ?
But how can i get my external SDcard to run ? For now i use Sandisk Ultra 16gb. Work fine in different phones and tablets and on the tablet i Windows 10.
I resetet the tablet to factory ... it didnt helped... But at the first startup i saw a message that the sd card was propably ejected out from the device... I didnt touch the device at startup...
Like i said before, in windows all works fine with a Sandisk 128 gb without problems...
I searched but didnt found anything...
Maybe anyone can help me with a good advice ?
thanks a lot for any help.

As I know, Teclast original 5.0 android rom has this problem. Coz I have read some topics like your problem at Teclast Chinese forum. Hope Teclast will upgrade the ROM later, otherwise try custom ROM?
sdcard problem on android teclast X98 pro?
hi
The solution to this problem is as follows
It is to be replacement -only- of bios K9C6 (not windows or android ROM) with the new version
that there think so easily in the corresponding page
Download new bios
MAKE A USB disc 8gb+ with rufus (iso ReactOS)
delete files on this disk and transferred files of new bios
Connect to a usb hub the disc and a keyboard usb (from desktop pc ok)
You not need connect mouse
and connect hub in tablet
follow the instructions of the document -instruction in English.docx-
for install new bios
with new bios everything is operating correctly and sdcard OK.
I cant seem to figure out how to get Android on a Windows 10 Teclast X98 Air II HG9M.
When I put on Windows 10 I did a fresh install and wiped all the partitions out. I wanted to maximize storage and at the time was very happy with Windows 8.1's performance. However 10 is not working out as well as I thought it would. Tried to give it some time and updates but its only getting slower.
That said I wanted to wipe it and get the full storage for Android now that we have these clean builds. Dual boot isn't really important to me. However if its easier I could just do the dual boot install. I don't game on this its only for Plex and Web browsing and I have a MicroSD with plenty of storage.
However when I try to boot into the flashing mode (Vol+ Vol- Pwr on boot) I get an error and it just restarts. Did I wipe that feature out when I cleared out all the partitions?
Looking for advice on how to wipe this and put Android on it.
Any ideas?
Please, can you help me, to reinstall new driver, for sdcard reader. Window 10 give an error on driver "error 10" and sdcard reader, can not load well.
I see that is possibe, donwloa old driver, for win 8.0, but i can't find it on web
On android, with modded rom, work well
Thank you
