Android setup on Google Pixel 4 XL offline possible? - Google Pixel 4 XL Questions & Answers

Hi Pixel users,
I have a question.
Is it possible to make an offline setup on Google Pixel 4 XL with Android 10 or Android 11?
On my Google Pixel 3 and Android 9 I can complete the Android setup offline.
Here are the steps how to make an Android setup offline on a Google Pixel 3.
1. Turn on Google Pixel 3
2. Hi there screen (select language)
3. Connect to mobile network (tap the "Skip" button)
4. Connect to Wi-Fi (tap the "Skip" button)
5. Skip Wi-Fi? (tap the "Continue" button)
6. Date & time
7. Google Services
8. Unlock with Pixel Imprint (tap the "Skip" button)
9. Set screen lock (tap the "Skip" button)
10. Skip screen lock? (tap the "Skip anyway" button)
11. Android Home Screen

It's possible, yes.
It's the same thing actually.

Thanks.
I have also compared it to my other Android device it has LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10).
1. Turn on Android device
2. Lineage screen
3. Language
4. Date & time
5. Location services
6. LineageOS features
7. Fingerprint setup (tap the "SKIP" button)
8. Protect your phone (tap the "SKIP" button)
9. Lineage screen (tap the "START" button)
10. Android Home Screen
Do you know an offline Android Setup on a Custom ROM that has even fewer steps than the offline Android Setup in LineageOS 17.1 and on my Google Pixel 3 (Android 9)?

[Launcher] LMT launcherr [Pie controls] Any rom, just need root!!!

This should work for all models. The new craze is pie controls, and you need paranoid android to get them right? Wrong! Get LMT launcher and that's it! All credit goes to zedomax for finding it, and I am just informing you.
Step 1. So, let’s get to it. First, you will need a rooted Android smartphone or tablet.
Step 2. Next, download the latest version of LMT launcher from XDA. Then install it using ES File Explorer app.
Step 3. Open the LMT app, and hit “Start/Stop TouchService” to start the LMT launcher.
Also, you can set “Autostart TouchService” to value 1 if you want it to start when your phone/tablet reboots.
Step 4. For the gestures to work correctly, you will need to set “Set gesture input”. Refer to the device list below and choose the right value for your device. If you don’t see your device in the list, try a device with similar display specs.
Step 5. Test your new PIE control by swiping from the center right-side edge of your screen. You should see a “basic” PIE control like shown here.
Step 6. You can change the color of your new PIE control in Settings under “Pie Colors”
Step 7. Also, the PIE Control defaults to the right side of the screen, you can also activate it for left side of the screen (for left handers), bottom of the screen, or even have it activated for left, right, and bottom.
Step 8. Next, you can customize the PIE Control buttons any way you like by going to PIE Settings and setting them up to 10 buttons and also 10 longpresses.
Step 9. When you add an app, you might not see the logo of the app.
Simply set “Show app images” in settings to 1 or 2 to make it show app logo.
Voila!!!
Step 10. If you set all of your buttons, you should see a nice PIE Control with 10 shortcuts!
Step 11. You can also add gesture shortcuts easily. First, make sure “Set TouchService mode” is set to value 1 otherwise they will not work.
Step 12. Next got to “GESTURES” tab and add your favorite shortcuts.
Step 13. Also you can go to “ISAS” tab and set invisible swipe shortcuts.
Once you are done setting your PIE Control and gestures, you are set to go.
Enjoy and go show off to your iWhore friends how much better your Android is.
And here's a link to the original instructions although mines are the exact same, but just go if you love to waste bandwidth :silly:

You only do this one time and it works continually, making it not that much effort..uninstall shortcut master if you choose...hotspot still works
Anyone?
Something?
As you have noticed correctly many shortcuts no longer work. There is other thread where this was mentioned.
You may want to address your issue in the Note 8 Sprint subforum...

problem with google home mini not working

Hello, I buy a second hand google home mini but this one has a problem.
when I plug it in it is not detected by the app home and I can not do anything with it.
the only thing he does is to give me the google presentation.
is there a way to reflash his memory or something else.
I specify that the reset button does nothing either ... help me please
I've done some digging on the internet and there are alot of threads about this.
Many solutions use the FDR button but you say it doesn't do anything at all.
Some people had to use the FDR button multiple times, maybe you can do some more resets.
Hold it for at least 15 Seconds, there should be a voice warning you that you're about to reset and erase your data.
Google home not being found in app
Can't find Google Home device in Google Home app
If you can't find a "Needs to be set up" Google Home device card within the Device section of the Google Home app (this section is found in the top right corner of the Google Home app's Home screen), try these steps.
Initial checklist
First, make sure:
You're using the most recent version of the Google Home app
The Google Home device is powered on
The Google Home device is plugged into a wall outlet
You are in the same room as the Google Home device
The LED light on the back of Google Home is blinking white. Note: Google Home Mini doesn't have this LED light.
The white LED lights on the top of the Google Home device are blinking, meaning the device is ready to be set up
If you're using an iOS device, turn on Bluetooth
On the Home screen, tap Settings > Bluetooth.
Make sure the slider is On (toggled to the right and green).
Close out of Settings and return to the Google Home app Google Home app.
If you're using an Android device, turn on Location services
On your Android device, tap Settings .
Tap Location > Turn on location.
Tap Settings > Apps > Google Home app > Permissions.
Next to "Location", make sure the slider is On (toggled to the right and green)
General troubleshooting
If you've checked off all of the steps above and you still can't find your Google Home device, try one of the steps below and then look for your device. If you still can't find it, move to the next step.
Step 1. Reboot Google Home
Disconnect the power cable from Google Home
Reconnect power cable back into Google Home
Step 2. Force close and relaunch the Google Home app
From an IOS device
Press the Home button two times quickly. You’ll see small previews of your recently used apps.
Select the app you want to close and swipe up towards the top of the screen.
From an Android device
Launch the Recent Applications menu to see small previews of your recently used apps.
The Recent Apps button should be accessible at nearly any time along the bottom of the screen along with the other buttons on the virtual task bar.
Step 3. Check to see if the device is listed under “Ignored Devices” folder on the Devices tab
Open the Google Home app.
In the top right corner of app home screen, tap Devices.
Scroll all the way down and make sure the Google Home is not listed under the Ignored Devices section. (Note: If you don’t have any ignored devices, you may not see this section listed in the Google Home app).
Step 4. Try to manually connecting to the Google Home SSID from your phone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings
Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.
Open the list of available WiFi networks and look for an available network with the name “GoogleHomeXXXX (where XXXX is a random number).
Note: If you previously set up your device and have not factory reset it (FDR) since it got kicked off of the network, look for the name of the Google Home device that you assigned to it in the list of available networks on your mobile device (ie. “Kitchen Home).
If you can successfully connect to the Google Home SSID in your WiFi settings, open the Google Home app and try setting up the device.
Advanced Troubleshooting
If you're still unable to find your Google Home device within the Devices section of the Google Home app, try the following,
Try using another supported mobile device to set up the Google Home device.
Move the Google Home device to a different location (i.e room). This will rule out any interference in the area which be causing the SSID to not broadcast properly.
Perform a Factory Data Reset (FDR).
Or your mobile device or tablet, turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reopen the Google Home app and try set up again.

How To Guide Remap the Power / Side Button to Google Assistant with Bixby Routines

Hello everyone!
Today I will show you how to remap the power or side button to Google Assistant on your Galaxy device.
The best thing about this? We'll be using stock apps!
Video:
Steps:
1. Download and install Samsung Routines + from APKMirror.
2. Install Google Assistant from Play Store.
3. Go to Settings, Advanced features, Bixby Routines.
4. Tap on Add Routine.
5. Tap on the "+" in "If".
6. At the bottom, tap on Button action.
7. Select the "Side" and "Press and hold" options.
8. Tap on Done.
9. Tap on the "+" in "Then".
10. Tap on Apps and "Open an app or do an app action".
11. Search for and select "Open Assistant". Done.
12. Next.
13. Personalise the routine's look to your preferences. Done.
14. Congrats. You can check if it worked by holding the Side/Power button!
Links:
• Samsung Routines + ➜ https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/good-lock-labs/samsung-routine/
• Google Assistant https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?hl=en&id=com.google.android.apps.googleassistant
I hope you enjoy this tutorial! Lemme know if you want more information!
Awesome tutorial! One thing, I had to choose>apps>open assistant. It wasn't present under "functions"

It must've changed with One UI 4.0. I'll update the steps.
Thank you for letting me know!
Step 6, I don't have 'Button action' as an option in the menu. Has it been removed?
Edit: It's back. For some reason the Routines+ app function was uninstalled.
Mine is missing too.
I've tried to download Routines+ app, but the option still not appear.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks
Another option to download Routines+ is:
1. Open Galaxy Store
2. Look for and install "Good Lock" (author is "Good Lock Labs")
3. Open "Good Lock"
4. Scroll to the bottom and install "Routines+"
Is this really the only way? I uninstalled a bunch of Samsung bloat and I'm not looking to reinstall it to get Routines+ to work on my device now.
Great video and tutorial! On my Z Fold 4 I can remap long-press of my capacitive navigation buttons too! I'd like to know what other devices have this Routines+ "Button Action" option?
-S21 Ultra
-ZFold4
-Others?
