I have noticed that everytime i send a email threw my Gmail acount over my phone in my mailbox on my computer it shows and icon that says"sent items" and when i looking into it a little more it shows that i am acutually sending 2 emails each time i send one. The first email has the text that i have entered and the second email is just blank.
Has anyone else had this issue or can you tell me how to fix it. thanks
are you using the gmail app, pocket outlook, or via internet?
Am currently with T-Mobile and have the HTC Kaiser(or vario 3 as they call it).
As I have an unlimited internet usage on the phone, I just wondered if there was an easy way I can route a text to a mobile abroad via the web(and therefore text would be free).
I don't want to have to go to a website on the phone and do it, I'd prefer to be able to send like a normal text but to send it differently so it goes via web to the mobile.
What I wanted to do is replicate what you can do from a pc, which is send a normal style text from a website to a mobile. On the recieving mobile, it appears the same as any other text, so wouldn't need it's own internet connection.
Is this possible? How easy is it?
You can't do that
but you can do what I do
Setup your email account to send/receive to ur MS outlook mobile/ w/e ur email application is...and u can send texts by typing persons' number at watever..like
for at/ t [email protected] . ...tmobile [email protected]
verizon [email protected]@messaging.sprintpcs.com
these ppl will get the text and can reply to it...and when u get the reply in ur email inbox...it'll see the contacts name...not like blah blah @ tmomail.net
i do it..i.t works greatt
I'd do that, but for some reason when I send an email from my phone, it sends out two copies... I would hate to send two texts everytime!
Edit: I just looked into this some more since I have 'the time' and I realized that it's just my gmail account that is seeing the double emails since it's saving a 'sent' copy on the phone and then doubles it up in the gmail.com app. (so this will work! Now I'll have to go through and setup everyone's texting email and another gmail account just to have the responses go through it)
I for the life of my cannot recover my aim password through the secret question or email through the aim password reset site.. Since the password/secret question is randomly generated text and I lost the backup flash/formatted, I cannot recover it.
However, I do have it saved on my phone still.. Is there any possible way to grab it from my phone?
Any ideas?
any ideas?
at the very least I would like to import some contacts from this account to a new one.. aim still won't let me reset my password
Hi guys. I got a bit of an unusual problem.
I got an email account which is programmed to automatically forward all emails that come in to my gmail account. My gmail account is synchronised with my phone using active sync.
Now for some reason, my xperia (outlook) cannot show the content of the emails that I get forwarded to my gmail account. Its really weird. So to clarify, whenever I receive an email on this other account of mine, it is automatically forwarded to my gmail account which comes up on my phone. On my xperia then, I can see that I received a message, I can see the subject of the message, however I cannot see the actual text. If the message comes with an attachment, I can use and open the attachment but again, I cannot read the actual message.
I have tried a couple of things before I decided to post here. The first thing I tried is to change my active sync settings from receiving messages in "plain text" to "html" - didnt help. I have also made sure to tell active sync to always download the "whole message" and not just parts of it - didnt help.
Then I reconfigured the server so I that it automatically forwards the emails to my yahoo account (instead of my gmail account) - didnt help, on yahoo I had the same problem.
Interestingly, when I access gmail on my computer and forward one of these emails that the xperia cannot read from my gmail to my yahoo account and then access the email from my xperia on the yahoo account - it works.
Has anybody any ideas what the reason could be? To clarify right away, I cannot access my other email account directly from the xperia. It needs to be done via this "forward messages automatically" rule.
I would be appreciate any help.
Amano
no ideas anyone? I really need to get this sorted somehow. Sorry for unnecessary post but I cant let this thread disappear without an answer.
I need some help setting up a way to send an email to multiple emails through one contact. For example, I want to set up a contact when I hit Receipts it will send email to [email protected], and [email protected], [email protected], I was able to do this on the iphone by setting up the contact like this
[email protected];[email protected];[email protected]
It doesn't work on my android phone, it will only send the email to the first address. I also tried to change the ; to , and it didn't work. Can someone help, this is the biggest thing I miss from coming over from the iphone, because when I buy something I send it to my wife and myself so she can mark it in the check book, and I send it to myself to make sure the message sent, plus to have a backup in case she deletes it. I appreciate any info.
Have you tried using groups? i.e. something like this? -> http://productforums.google.com/d/msg/gmail/8K1HPO0kNi0/a4ESnYD9t2IJ
EDIT: Never mind.. while that appears to work from WEB based Gmail, it doesn't work when sending email from the Gmail app on my phone.
I can make a group on my gmail account, but how do I get that to my phone. I use my Live account as my default account?
