hello guys
I've rooted my phone and downloaded those apps:
Car stream
AA stream
AA mirror
Fermata media player
Screen2Auto
and they are all working fine except for this annoying issue that any video played or casted is out of sync and there is 1 second audio delay?
is there any solution or somebody figured out how to fix this
thanks a lot
Use a root system app disabling app and disable bluetooth if you don't need it. This will force android auto to use the USB cable for low latency audio transmission

Even I have same problem , when car is not moving/stopped ( handbrake up or down no issue car should not be in motion) then audio and video are syncing in car stream aa mirror screen2auto fermata auto but when car is moving there is delay of 4-5 seconds (
audio video not syncing) in car stream fermata auto aa mirror screen2auto. Can somebody tell why this is happening . If it is network issue then it should not work perfectly when car is stopped.if it is usb problem I am using new usb cable . Can somebody tell why this is happening and it's solution.

I recently went with an HTC One and while I'm loving the device I've gotten quite spoiled with the car integration of the iphone. My phone is connected via bluetooth to my car audio system. Makes and receives calls fine. Plays out of the "Music" app fine.
But getting beyond that is incredibly annoying. The Music app just wants to play whenever i go to the bluetooth input and getting it to play something else is sometimes impossible. Starting spotify sometimes gets me spotify audio, and sometimes I get stuck in a loop where my car's audio is "paused" and spotify is playing on my phone. I tried to use my phone to stream slingbox audio over bluetooth today and simply couldn't accomplish this, every time i went to bluetooth the music app would start and the slingbox feed would get disconnected. Same behavior with WatchESPN.
On an iphone, the audio is all piped through the same thing and multiple audio feeds can't play, so this would be as simple to fix as double tapping the home screen and going to the airplay like icon and selecting the right output if for some reason it wasn't playing a particular app's audio over bluetooth.
Is there an app or any change I can make that will allow me to control which application is sending the audio over bluetooth? Can I disable the music app just taking over whenever I connect my car? Any other ideas I haven't thought of?
Are you using the car mode system? Go into the car app, go to settings (tap on the bottom middle), and make sure to turn off all the auto-music and such.
No, would I be able to control sling player in that mode?
Similar Issue! Bluetooth works only with Google Music App
I have a similar issue. Bluetooth pairs well with my stereo, and if I use the Google Music App all is great. I get great sound and track information. On all other apps (pandora, spotify, tunein Radio) the app shows that my music is playing but there is no sound coming from the car audio. The strange part is...when I play on Google music, then hit play on Spotify, spotify will play my track for a few seconds before the sound goes away. The track is still playing in the app though. Has anyone else encountered this?

Has definitely happened to me on more than one occasion. I've really only "fixed" it by restarting phone and car and hoping for the best.
iPhone market penetration and awareness has driven ICE integration to the exclusion of other brands.
Lack of similar joined up Android integration is the only thing stopping me going mechless in the car.
Until then, CD.

Yes I've encountered this in my 2011 Sienna. Yep I'm one of those spoiled by how well iOS handled audio through Bluetooth. I haven't tried Spotify, but I did try pandor and tunein and got the exact same results as you, with Google Music being the only player that works. I just transferred some music from my iTunes library and will try playing music through the native music app.
This won't be a dealbreaker for me but man do I miss how seamlessley iOS handled this. At least the steering wheel controls seem to work with Google Music, allowing me to jump to the next track.

So bluetooth streaming works fine for the native music player and I can go back and forth between Google Music and the native player and it streams fine via bluetooth. Still doesn't work with Pandora.

I am experiencing the same. Google music and google play stream perfectly. Maps(Navigation), Spotify, TED, Youtube have no speaker output, car speakers or otherwise.
In the same car I've previously been using a Galaxy S2 with all the above apps streaming via bluetooth just fine.
Anyone any ideas...?
Edit. I've tried everything but looks like this is a known issue with 4.1.2 jellybean. 4.2 update on its way within a month I hear.
Here's the workaround that I discovered in androidforums. I can confirm that it works with my AT&T HTC One and 2011 Sienna:
Launch pandora
Launch Google Play Music
Under Manage apps, select Google Play Music and stop it.
Sometimes Pandora starts streaming at this point.
If not, select Pandora from Running and stop everything under it.
Restart Pandora and it should stream now.
Just got an OTA update but no 4.2 yet. Bluetooth is still broken (unless you use Google music)
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

I have a 2013 Honda Pilot and whenever I stream music from my HTC One via Bluetooth, it will "pause" the music player. This happens all the time. It might go a few songs before it happens or will pause multiple times during a song.
I have a Pioneer car stereo with built in Parrot bluetooth and media connection. I had this issue with my previous phone so it must be either an Android issue or problem with my car stereo bluetooth. Every time I connect bluetooth to the car stereo the phone enables media connectivity and I have to manually go in and turn it off again. Sometimes I have to turn it on and off again as it says it's connected even though it isn't (tick box is ticked but if I untick it it connects and I have to untick it again and OK it to verify). Also if I disconnect it then cycle through the sources on the car stereo as soon as I get to bluetooth it enables it again.
I don't want it on because I want to hear media audio through the phone speakers and phone calls through the car stereo.
Android 4.1.2 at present.

I think the answer lies in the question here,, Parrot Bluetooth Media Connection.
The stereo isn't 'smart' enough to determine that what is connecting to it is a Phone/MP3 and as such you wont be able to split the audio to have the phone play music and the Stereo take calls, it'll end up being one over the other.
One way around this would be to test with a completely different Bluetooth Headset to see if this allows music to be played on the Device and Calls to come through on the Headset,, failing that its going to have to be a potential dev jobby to split how the device sends its audio and to what specific device,,, if that lies with HTC and Android/Us or Pioneer/Parrot themselves,, might be worth asking whats the official standpoint on this with the Manufacturer and see if they are getting this same issue from multiple folks

I have the same problem with my HTC One across four different ROMs, two GE and two Sense.
It's NOT an issue with my car stereo (uConnect system) as it works flawlessly on my Nexus 7 and VZW Galaxy Nexus. I prefer to have media (music, Ingress etc...) play over the phone. Only thing I want to play over the uConnect is the actual phone. No matter how many times I unselect media in the bluetooth settings it selects it again.
I see this is an old thread, anyone have any ideas?
Nope. It does not always do it though. I found that if I leave bluetooth on it seems to be OK just as long as I don't switch through from aux to radio to CD and back to USB again on the Pioneer. If I use the automatic bluetooth app to save battery it connects but then connects with the media option enabled. Bummer.

I've just installed Bluetooth Auto Connect have to go run some errands in a little while, I'll let you know if it helps out managing profiles or not.
If it works let me know what settings you used as I don't understand all the options lol.
bluetooth problem
Hi developers: Thanks Team Venom for a great ROM. I have only one problem. Rom 2.7 no problem with Bluetooth in the car. 3.1 Installation of clean and dirty disables bluetooth. Ten seconds connected and then disconnected. Again, connects and disconnects. So it all over again. It is in version 3.6 ... any change BT software? You can install the software separately BT? Or any other advice? Thank you very much
edit: I deleted the original settings in the car. Again the connection and still the same problem.
I have never been able to have steady audio via Bluetooth while using my phone. Example if I have Bluetooth streaming audio from Google Play All Access and try to reply to a text message the audio will start cutting out and skipping. Even if I try to use the Google Play app to change a song.
I know this is not an issue when using the headphone jack as that is how I normally have my phone plugged into the stereo in my truck.

Try re-pairing. I have this issue through a cheap bluetooth dongle. I generally reconnect and that will fix it (for the time being), but in some cases I've unpaired and re-paired and that has gotten it working. I don't have this problem in my car.
The car is question is the family SUV, it has an Alpine Receiver with Bluetooth built-in. I have not only repaired but noticed this issue with 4.2.2 and 4.4 and now 4.4.2. There has even been a full wipe and fresh start on the phone and the issue continues. I don't have another Bluetooth device to try with unfortunately.
Hi, when I connect to AA it disabled my bluetooth audio so I cant play any audio books over it.
Is there any workaround for this?
Stephan
In the Bluetooth Settings, go to the setting related to car blutooth, Enable Media Audio. you have to enable similar setting in car bluetooth Settings.

These settings are disabled when connected to AA. Even worth is that even phone audio doesnt work anymore.
Thats seems like an odd limitation.

I have been wanting to put my head through a window for this exact issue. I recently moved from an iPhone to a oneplus 6t and I am really starting to miss carplay. I have an AVIAN USA head unit in my BMW and I need to use Bluetooth so my audio and searing wheel controls work but every time I plug my phone in I lose audio. It seems like controls still work though as I can change songs but I get no audio. I've tried disabling audio routing over USB in dev settings and repairing my bt while android auto is running. I've also tested this with a note 9 and had the same issues. I have tried to put in a help ticket with google but not heard back.
Hi,
I am using samsung note 3 (Android 5) to connect my car's android auto system.
