What do you mean by "inverted"?
BTW, repair screen again, not sw issue
Inverted when I touch right un the screen it touches the left side and when I touch the right side it touches the left side of the phone

You bought an unoriginal display, didn't you?

Looks like wrong mounting of digitizer connectors...

Hello!
I have a weird error on my diamond 2 - I dropped it on the floor, so the touch screen got broke. I bought a new original one and replaced it as myself, which wasn't that difficult. The strange thing is that now when I move my finger up and down on touch screen the pointer moves side to side, and when i move finger from side to side the pointer goes up and down...? It's just like touch screen was rotated 90 degrees. Have tried to do a factory reset via a guide I found but it is still the same. Is it supposed to recalibrate the phone somehow?
Could this be a fysical connection error?
I tried to put cable in the other way but it was to short, and I can't figure out how to put it another than it is now. If i try to force it around 180 degrees it will be ripped off and break.
is your problem already solved? i replaced my cover as well. i think the connection ot digitizer is not pluged in correctly, it is not in the middle. it is also possible that your replacement is scrap

Hm, I'll check it out. It's possible connector ended up wrong, I was most happy that I got in place

I tried to go maneuver via the menu but it was impossible. But I didn't give up and Google instead and found this - "You need to simultaneously hold down Volume Up and Volume Down on the side of the device, and while holding them both down, just tap the screen and it will go straight to the alignment screen."
This works and my screen is now aligned, but still I got it's 90 degree ccw rotated.
I forgot to mention that i have replaced digitizer two times - one before this one, reason was i thought first one was broken/faulty
Hi everyone, first post and it's about a G1 I recently purchased.
My phone is using the Cyanogen Mod 6.0.0-DS, which is freshly installed. The weird thing is that about 2/3 of my screen (when in portrait mode) is unresponsive when I place my finger on it.
When I touch in the Left 1/3 of the screen, it recognizes my touch and works. The even weirder part is that when I start my touch in the 1/3 and move into the other area of the screen, the phone recognizes my movement.
So say I'm on the home screen and swipe left to right. The screen recognizes my touch and I can hold down the touch into the right side of the screen and it follows my movements perfectly. It's only when I touch in that 2/3 right part of the screen when it touches not recognize the touch.
Now, my question is this: Is it software related or hardware related? Is there a setting I can use to maybe calibrate the screen. OR do I need to replace the screen (or digitizer? can someone help me understand the difference)?
Thanks in advance for reading. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ask questions if need be

I am having this issue, too. Anyone able to help?
Its common, I had couple of phones with intermediate touch issues on a portion of the screen, a new digitizer took care of that.
Hi
The other day I replaced my HTC HD7 screen, both the LCD and Digitizer.
The cracked screen was working fine, and everything was working perfectly.
After changing the screens everything also came up good, the phone booted up and the Windows Phone menu was working fine.
Problem(s):
On the top right corner there is a dead spot about 1cmX4cm going downwards, I can see everything in the corner but it does not detect touch.
Also, the onscreen key board only works on left side landscape mode. When I am in portrait mode I cant use the "O" and the "P" , and when I am in Right side landscape I can't use the "G" icon/key.
This leads me to believe that the digitizer might be faulty, because the LCD shows everything so it can't be that. Or, maybe the ribbon cable might be bad?
Has anyone else had this problem? What can be done?
Any input on this problem will be much appreciated.
sent it back for replacement if it's under warranty.

Yes, I sent it back, waiting for the replacement now.
Hopefully it will work. I will update the status once I receive the new screen.

Hi, do you try calibrate the touch panel?
Quick key hold volume up and down key at the same time, then touch the touch panel.

I had the same problem, connector(the one connecting motherboard and digitizer) is wrongly connected. Try to connect it upside down, and it should work. I change 2 digitizers already and had same issue on all.
Cheers!
hey
i have an xperia z that is lying idle at home and i want to give it to a family member but realized that the screen has a two cracks on the bottom left corner (both running from the middle of the bottom side to about a third of the screen on the left side). tried turning on the fone and it worked but the touch screen is unresponsive. i am about to get a replacement for the screen but i wanted to make sure that its the touch screen that is faulty. if anyone has knowledge on how to fix this without having to replace the screen then please help.

If the screen is cracked and touch is unresponsive then it didn't just cracking the glass, your digitizer is also cracked. The digitizer and the glass need to be replaced.
