What exact model is the phone? (Settings > About Phone > Model number)
Go to Settings again, hit "Software Update." Then write down at least the date of the last security patch install (beneath "Your software is up to date" message).
If your phone is (like mine) one ending in U1, that means it is an unlocked phone. It may be waiting for the newest update which isn't out yet on my T-Mobile (and maybe your Sprint, since T-Mobile owns Sprint now). We're stuck waiting.
Download phone information app from play store. Check csc and do a refurbishment check with app. Post build number and csc information...that will help others figure out where to tell you to start.

Hello,
I still haven't got the 7.1.1 OTA update. Every month I keep getting the security updates for the 7.0 version. I checked my build version and compared it with the one mentioned on google's site and my version is NBD92D ( Mar 2017 ) which according to google is the build for ATT only. I am not using ATT , Infact I don't even have ATT in my country!
Does anybody else have this problem? Do I have to sideload the Image?
Yes, just sideload the image.

I do have the same problem, last night I received update and applied it, after that I've checked the version is also NBD92D(AT & T). My Nexus 6 is bought in HK but not HK official goods and sourced from Australia. However, I am not able to verify my Nexus 6 is not AT & T version and the only way is to trust the Google update program version check, luckily until now no problems notice on the phone.
In the meantime, I do also consider to update to 7.1.1 (N6F26U) but my phone does not popup any update on the system update check, and right now the N6F26U update is removed. Now I plan to wait and see any further action/update from Google on Nexus 6.
@mega23mac: The AT&T Nexus 6 has the Death Star logo on the back and has its service locked to that carrier. If you had one where you are, it wouldn't work at all if locked and if unlocked likely wouldn't get LTE. To verify the model, enter the bootloader. In your case you want to see model number XT1100 in the display.
With that out of the way, if you want the latest 7.1.1 on your device, go to Google's developer pages, download the latest OTA image, and flash it. Waiting for an OTA is pointless with a Nexus device.

That's the suspicious part, my Nexus 6 doesn't have the "Death Start" logo on the back, and I can get LTE, and I do see the model no. of XT1100 in the bootloader. But from the Settings > About phone > Build number, what i saw is NBD92D (the update is from OTA).
However, I am consider to flash the N6F26U as the Android Pay failure is not important to me as I use it not much.
Thanks, Strephon.

How will you flash that update? Google pulled the image immediately after they got to know about the android pay failure

Greetings,
I would like to know where and when I would be receiving my Note 9 Pie update. I purchased my device as an early adopter (Sept. 2018). I bought my device direct from Samsung, unlocked, and I use it on the Tmobile network. The Model number and info is as follows:
Model Number - SM-N960U1
Serial number - RF8K72LJLZD
SW update Number - N960U1UEU1ARL1
I would like to know Where I would be receiving my Note 9 update from; Samsung, or Tmobile?
On an alternate note. I attempted to perform a manual Pie update but could not perform it with the specs I mentioned earlier. I attempted to perform a manual install by inserting SS-N960USQU1ARL1-to-U1CSB3-UP into my SD card root directory, but received an error notification. Apparently, I could not perform the update for the SM-N960U1. If I decide to perform a manual update, What software should I use?

It will come directly from Samsung since you are on a U1 device.
You can not use the CSB3 update zip. It isn't for your device. N960U1UEU1ARL1 =/= N960USQU1ARL1. That is why they have different build numbers.
As far as WHEN you will receive it. Good question. Sometime after all the carriers receive their updates.
Please feel free to spend some time reading these threads, particularly the ones about the various Pie updates, as they all contain these answers to your questions.
Thx much

Thx much in advance. The only build version that I seen for my device to date were the U and U1 versions, hence my questions,.
Hello,
I have refurbished unlocked Note 8 and recently when checking for updates realised it hasn't received any security updates since Sept 2018 but says it's up to date. When further investigating with Phone Info app it showed following message on Refurbishment check: It looks like the firmware has been modified. Your phone doesn't have active CSC code, CSC version and CSC country.
When searched the imei number it says it's been made in India, I live in Europe. Do you have any advice what can I do? I read I could flash stock firmware but how do I find the right one? Should I do it for the country I live in or the one phone has been manufactured for? I haven't done anything like this and I don't want to brik my phone. Any help is much appreciated
960U Sprint carrier unlocked flashing to XAA U1/ T Mobile firmware help
Question
I just got a note 9 that is originally Sprint and carrier unlocked. I am currently using a T Mobile sim, and am having trouble flashing to XAA U1. Ultimately I want to flash to T Mobile firmware. Here is my current software information:
One UI Version: 1.0
Android Version: 9
Baseband Version: N960USQS3CSK2
Android Security Patch Level: December 1, 2019
I have tried to flash the most recent stock XAA U1 from March (N960U1UES3DTB2) with modified Odin 3.14 3B, but it fails:
<ID:0/007> Odin engine v(ID:3.1401)..
<ID:0/007> File analysis..
<ID:0/007> Total Binary size: 7074 M
<ID:0/007> SetupConnection..
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I am currently downloading the most current stock Sprint firmware (N960USQS3DTB2) to see if I can atleast get the OS up to date. I was not sure if I need to be flashing an older build of XAA U1 firmware first? Any help would be much appreciated!
exact same error
I am having the same exact problem. SM-960U, oneUI 1.0, android 9, security patch december 1 2019. Bought from Amazon Renewed sold as a t-mobile unlocked but shows as a Sprint on imei checker.
Usb Debugging is turned on in developer options, shows as blue in odin but fails the exact same way.
I'm trying to flash up to android 10 with oneUI 2.0
try another odin version

Yeah Killadro I also bought off amazon renewed..same exact details! Said t mobile unlocked but it was sprint firmware. I called samsung and supposedly they are going to push an update for my vimeo at the end of the month to update to android 10 and ui 2.0..but it will still be sprint firmware. I am not really confident that it will actually come through.

On the note 9 N960U, you can flash any of the firmwares for a N960U or N960u1 & its the sim card you are using that adds the required Carrier info
Might try using this odin Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD

I understand all NA note 9's have the same internals so I can install U or U1 versions but i cant get either to install past the error posted above.
I've tried Odin3_v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD and Odin3_v3.13.3_3B_PatcheD, guess i could try Odin3_v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD and see how it goes.
If you or anyone else would like to contact me on discord to try and help feel free Killadro#3926
Is there any update on? I am using a sprint unlocked Note 9 in Canada and still stuck on Nov 2019 update. I want to flash the latest firmware and worries it will lock the phone and become unusable. Any help would be appreciated
Hi, I'm new around here and I have no clue on how to downgrade my Samsung S20 Fe running on Android 12 and One UI 4.1 to any of its previous versions? Can anyone provide enough information on how to do the process or if its even possible to downgrade so?

you can downgrade by 2 or 3 updates only on the F variant. you can only flash firmware that shares the same bootloader version number that you have now.

any guide for using Odin to flash firmware will be fine. you need to know your build number or baseband number. it'll be your model followed by some letters and numbers.
the 5th character from the end of the build number is the bootloader version number.
my build number is G781BXXU4FVI4
so my current BL version number is 4, any firmware for your phone that matches your current BL version can still be flashed.
Sammobile is about the easiest place to download older firmware but it's SLOW!!!!

yep that's it. make sure you definitely get the correct model number and also the correct CSC CODE too.
check settings / about phone / software info / service provider software version / check for 3 letters appearing 3 times here, that 3 lettered code is your csc code and you should download firmware that matches yours (although it's not earth shatteringly critical).
google for Sammobile and put in your model number and csc, you'll see what firmwares are available.
