Hi. I have a problem with my Mi 8 SE.
I have 16mbps internet connection stably receiving from my iss.For a long time I aware of this issue but didnt ignore.
When I get speed test on Mi 8 SE it gets 12 mbps. While watching youtube surfing twitter or downloading smth from Gplay I realize that my speed is not normal.I tried another phone in same wifi downloading is faster than Mi 8 SE.
I have no problem on mobile internet. But in wifi situation is really boring.Dont know is there anyone suffering from this. What is the problem? How can I fix it?
Edit
While I was downloading Pubg connection speed is 451k/s. Phone gets on speed test 12 mbps..
Can anyone help me?
Edit:
Guys I found a solution for this problem.Open Airplane mode on your phone and try to download smth you will see it return to normal speed. Then you can off airplane mode and go ahead.
Today i bought redmi 9t
And i realize wifi singal is too weak
Is this a hardware os software problem
I searched it on google many users have the same issue with no fix?
Someone sayed the problem is gone with custom rom and come again after couple of days
Sorry for my eng
I also have redmi 9t wifi is also weak I switch to a custom rom named arrowos same result weak it's a hardware problem the unit has weak antennas I decided to live with it just set the ip to static so that it wont disconnect and you need to be 3-5 meters near for strong signal around 6 meters up wifi will be 50percent below i think the max range would be 9 meters before no signal haha also with walls and obstructions fluctuation of signal is high best to be with clear sight we get what we pay for its cheap but has very major downsides and serious bugs when using miui firmware more bugs will occur others has deadboot issues thats why I switched to custom rom arrowos is clean and fast so much better for me than miui

that's a very common issue
Could be a hardware or software bug
Let xiaomi fix it with new firmware update

Hi everybody.
I just noticed a strange bug which I verified and reproduced on my S10, S20 and S21 : enabling bluetooth (connected or not) reduces by more than half the speed of Wi-Fi.
Steps to reproduce :
1. Turn off bluetooth
2. Turn on wifi and connect to the router
3. Make a google speed test twice
4. Immediately turn on bluetooth
5. Make a google speed test twice
6. Compare speed tests!
Works for me every time. And you ?
Edit :
Here's a screen recorded video illustrating the potential bug :
Yes definitely a speed drop with Bluetooth on, tried using Google speed test and speed test app.

Can it be reproduced every time ? With the same speed drop ratio ?
Thanks a lot
I'm not convinced, had 380mbps for 5 tests then switched on Bluetooth, I initially had 280mbps but then subsequent tests around 380-400mbps
This issue is only with phone having Snapdragon Chipsets.

I just tested using Speedtest. I only have 200mbps from my SP. Bluetooth off it went to 220mbps very fast. Bluetooth on still peaked at 220mbps but it took a few more seconds to get there. S998U1 UI4 OTA in Florida. Just one test. Snapdragon.
Edit 2:
Second test identical to test 1.

That's interesting. I now gave more time to the test with Bluetooth on : it SOMETIMES gets to the max speed but slowly compared to Bluetooth off.
There's definitely something happening when using Wi-Fi with Bluetooth on.
I just tested with a Poco F3 and there's strictly no difference in Wi-Fi performance but all my samsung devices are impacted. I do have some older ones to be tested too ...

Morever even Windows based laptops having a Qualcomm Wifi and Bluetooth module has same issue. While Android and Windows software and hardware are way apart but as far the issue is concerned it is related to drivers for Windows but again only with Qualcomm Manufactured Wifi and Bluetooth Module.

Oh I should verify this on my laptop. Thanks for the information.
In the meantime, I just bought a Poco F3 (what a great device btw) and the bug can't be reproduced on it whatever I do !
These are maybe the last days of my S21 ...
Hello, I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi11T (MIUI 13 Global) , and since then I have noticed that when sharing internet, the internet on other devices is slow (1/2 mb/s ), after restarting the mobile the other devices are already at normal speed ( 40 mb/s ), but after about 5 minutes it becomes slow again.
I've had a search and some people also have the same problem but no resolution.
Does anyone have any ideas or solutions for this problem? Yeah, I need to share internet everyday to my Tablet and PC.

For the past three months, I am facing this odd situation where as soon as I turn Bluetooth on, the wifi disconnects. I have tried everything that I learned from Google and even reset my phone twice, but no solution so far. I have tried 5GHz wifi but still the same issue. I cannot use Bluetooth headphones or connect my phone to the laptop or smart watch while connected to wifi. I bought this phone in February 2022. It worked fine for a month and then this problem started. Please help.

If you haven't physically damaged your smartphone, then my guess is that you are experiencing a software (driver) problem -- in that case you have 2 options:
report this issue to Xiaomi & wait for the next MIUI release,
install (after unlocking the bootloader) a custom ROM (replacing MIUI) -- you can choose whichever you like:

a custom rom won't fix it i guarantee it , its a hardware issue . ive had the same problem with various devices over the years , phones , tables and laptops . the wifi and bluetooth signals interfere with each other . try putting your wifi on 2.4ghz bands b / g and see if it helps
I tested your issue twice just now. Connected the phone to a 5Ghz Wi-Fi then turned on the Bluetooth, after that I it paired with a sound system. The Wi-Fi never disconnected during the process. Maybe you have too many wireless devices in your area. Do more tests in a different location. Try flashing a different version of MIUI global if the issue persists.

Tried every solution, including moving Wi-Fi to 5GHz, but the problem still persists.

Surprisingly your suggested solution was spot on. I had two smartwatch apps on my phone (one for Haylou, and the other for the Mibro smartwatch). I uninstalled both, restarted my phone and turned on both bluetooth and wifi. No more disconnection issue. Now have to figure out which app is actually causing the problem. Before your reply, I posted my problem on many forums and searched google, but no effective solution till your reply. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply, brother. But how can you test my issue when you don't have the problem in the first place? Regardless of which network I am using (home, office, friend's house) and on which band I am (2.4 or 5.0 GHz), as soon as I turned on the Bluetooth, wifi disconnects. Swapon88's suggestion really worked. It was the smartwatch app.

Alhamdulillah, happy to hear that.
Brilliant. I was having this issue and uninstalled "da fit" app and it's fine now. Thanks
I am also facing a similar issue. When I am connected to Wifi and Bluetooth simultaneously, wifi disconnects after a few minutes and no Access points shows up in the available networks section. Wifi reconnects when bluetooth is turned off.
I dont have any smartwatch app installed.

I think it's common problem when connecting to a 5GHz Wi-Fi and using Bluetooth at the same time, it kept happening to my RN9 too

Yup, that seems to be the case. Can confirm such 'issues' happened on my moto g3, moto g5 plus, rn8 too because of interfering frequencies that causes either Bluetooth or wifi to disconnect (shortly).
