Petition: Give Android 11 for Note9! - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Samsung said that all flagships after and including the S10 will get 3 years of Android OS updates. It's a bit unfair for us Note9 and S9 users so I created a petition to Samsung asking them to reconsider adding the S9, S9+ and Note9 to the 3 year major updates support program as well. Here's the link: https://www.change.org/p/samsung-give-android-11-oneui-3-0-to-galaxy-note9-s9-phones
The more people that sign it the better chance we have of Samsung acknowledging it!

The petition won't do anything. I truly hate being that person but there's no way in this world or the next that a petition on xda will make Samsung ad an older device to their new statement. It's not smart for their business, gives them no real benefits or anything. You gotta realize they aren't thinking of the handful of us who still hold onto the 9 series of phones whether it be S or Note... Their business is to sell new electronics not to keep old ones on life support that they keep recharging every so often.

Don't worry, I know we 99.9% won't get it. Just decided to explore how this works and made it as another xda user requested it. I'm ok with 2.5 as I just want wireless DeX - other stuff is a bonus that's in 2.5.

Please stop. Please.

I feel like a petition might work for an iPhone, because, well, you either have an iPhone or a thousand variants of an Android phone. Having one of two out of those thousand variants doesn't amass to a whole lot of people, certainly not enough for Samsung to actually do something about it. Good luck, though. I did sign it. But again, it's more than likely a lost cause. The three year deal didn't start until AFTER the Note9.

Feels like we need to have this same conversation once every smartphone generation. Recap:
Breathing life into old electronics is not good business. Samsung is a business, they're in it for the money. Introducing new features for old phones will not sell new hardware; if anything, it will cause Samsung to sell less new hardware. Less sales means less revenue. That's why it's bad for business.
Developing software for additional platforms consumes more resources; resources which could be used for advancing development of newer hardware, and better software for said newer hardware. Again, why waste resources into something that will cause you to sell fewer next-gen phones?
Let me reiterate. Samsung is a business. They will not make poor business decisions to benefit users who hang on to old hardware instead of buying new hardware. End of story.

@oddbehreif As I said before I don't have much hope but seeing how the S10s got 3 years support and the Note10 Lite is THE SAME PHONE as the Note9 and will get Android 11 I decided to make this. I'll be perfectly happy with OneUI 2.5 as I'll get wireless DeX then but it's fun to see how change.org works and to spam the link on every Samsung or smartphone tech video and watch the numbers rise.

It will not working.

one UI 2.5 will be updated! Android 11 is not possible!

Android 11 may be unlikely to be provided to Note 9 by Samsung, I am not sure your statement that it's not possible (technically ?) is correct.
I may have misunderstood the context of your post.
My understanding is Samsung have indicated it will be providing Android 11 to all Note 10 / S10 and later, I believe one of these included phones has essentially the same hardware so obviously possible.
Finally I believe Note 9 is project Treble compatible / compliant so this would indicate it's technically possible and not as difficult as pre -Treble phones to be provided future Android updates

I wish that our N9 became the Android11 version;imagine, with a new battery and an aktual system we can use this rely good, amazing phone for more then 2-3 years.I`m using this phone now for 1.5 years;at first with Android 8 than 9 and now 10.It should be possible to get 11!!

Dude, we already have Treble support on this. When the new GSI drops, just install that.
I've seen many of these petitions and none worked.

We will just hope that some dev will port the SM-N770F update to the SM-N960F/G96xF family

I dont wanna spark any hope in sight, but, either this is typical Samsung negligence from their side, or they mistakenly took this upon.
They have an app called GPU Watch, which is pretty much a FPS Real Time counter for people who game.
If you head in their app's website, there's a table showing support for the app's version and SDK. Weirdly, Note9/S9 are on the Android R list as well.

Lost my patience with Android

Had anyone here lost their patience with updates to android phones? I was an android fan. Peoples and manufactures tell us about all the possibilities it have, how open it was, all the features, all the promises.
But then i saw it was all a lie, when updates come with a half year or longer in delay. And developers cant do anything before a leak (im not blaming developers), so whats the deal with an open os?
My next phone is a windows mobile phone for sure.

I just switched from Windows Phone ( HD7 ) to Galaxy Note. If you think the situation with updates looks any better on Windows Phone - you're wrong mate. Been waiting for Mango quite a long time - when it arrived, i had to flash a stock rom from other device cause they cut some features from it ( like internet sharing ) which are still oficially not there for some devices ( half a year later! ). There's next update Tango coming - which doesn't actually bring anything new except of low-end device support. And Apollo is scheduled for Q4 - and 1st gen devices "probably won't be getting it"
At least, with Android, you've got custom ROMs that get updated really quickly, big dev scene, the ability to install apps from all sources - and code/test/share your own apps without paying annual fee for having your phone dev-unlocked, and they don't cut features "just because there's a new device - so go buy it".
I love Windows Phone - as a regular phone. I kept waiting and waiting for changes - but the OS is still as locked down as it was in the beginning, no "not from market" apps, no drag-and-drop media, most of apps still dont support multitasking, cant even access your files, and apps from the market, believe me, are not that useful - that's why i moved away to Android.
I'd give it another thought mate - and about Note being laggy - try ICS AOSP rom, they run really smoothly.

I've never had any problems with Samsung's phones. The leaks provide enough of a base for us to get ICS working and Damn near perfect. I'm running an AOKP build with nearly Zero bugs and get almost 5-6 hours of SCREEN ON time per day with nearly 3 days of battery life with my usual texting and web surfing. Android is about being open, and as far as I'm concerned it is. Running ICS, I have had Zero lag, only one minor glitch (which is fixed in updated builds), better battery life than most of my friend's phones, a huge screen, and a OS that isn't crazy limited. If you change, it's obviously up to you, but I would go and test the many ICS roms out there like AOKP or ICStunner as they are simply amazing.
If you would rather have the WP7 then go for it. There's no point in us trying to convince you otherwise if you really have your mind set to it.
i was fan of android but the updates man o man do it 1 time in a month or so but every 2 a 3 day....update update....

I got my device in december, and I've received 3 updates (maybe 4) since then. That's a lot of updates. I have no complaints. What you're whining about is not getting the absolute latest OS build right away. I'd much rather have Samsung pushing updates that make it a stable device than Samsung sending us crappy builds. That would defer me, and I'm sure many others who don't like to flash custom ROMs and such, to other devices. I believe Samsung is doing the correct thing and waiting until the ROM is properly developed.
Enjoy WM7. A lot of people seem to enjoy it! I was actually thinking about it, too, a while ago, but it kind of follows Apple's model of multitasking and that doesn't do it for me. Blackberry and Android are the OSs that offer true multitasking (webOS, too, but that seems to be dead in the eyes of HP/Palm lol).
The Note isn't laggy, Gingerbread is. ICS is silky smooth. Samsung needs to hurry up and get ICS on the Note because it shackles such a wonderful device. It's like Apple running the new iPad with iOS 3.0. Your phone is only as good as your software is, and Gingerbread is an antiquated POS.
I lose my patience on Android Market here in Finland, because it sucks compared to the USA Market and App Store.

Sell your Note and get a Windows Phone is my advice. That way you'll be moaning in somebody else's forum instead of ours.
I've had WinMo, iPhone, Symbian and more recently Android and Google's contribution is by far the best.

You can use market enabler and choose tmobile profile and then you can install every us app that you want. Restart and you will be using default provider flags again. So, there is no problem.
I am using lc1 stock rom, the best out there in my opinion, everything works and pretty fast too.
WP7 is no where near WM6.5 in terms of functionality and way behind Android, IOS too. Android is the best choose in terms of functionality and practicality from all the smartphone OSes out there.

Honestly shaolin it's people like you that makes devs abandon XDA for whining about everything and everyone! Go.. get a windows phone and when you do and see how limited windows phone is DON'T COME BACK! Stay away from XDA and honestly i hope i can speak in the name of the whole community:
Don't ever come to this forum whining!
I won a Galaxy Note and honestly, i bought my SGS2 without ever had tried Android and i love the possibilities it brings me! The openess on developing!
I simply love it! Had my first chance on SGS2 and i will continue to use this awesome SO!
Please ask an admin to ban your account and go somewhere else!

I don't get folks like you. You actually purchase a phone for what it will be, as opposed to what it is.
Do you only live in the future? Don't forget the present mate.
If you're so unhappy with the lack of updates or the speed of updates, go get iOS and WP7. No one is grabbing you by the ball-sack to stay with Androids.
P.S. Requested to mods that this thread be moved to Android General as it has nothing to do with the Galaxy Note.
Actually I dont even want an update from Samsung any more, yesterday I recirved an update for the Samsung Apps after updating it stoped downloading applications alltogether!!,
"You cant download with this email from this country" bla ..bla..there was no way Icould fix that even after signing up for multiple new accounts.
If things will look like this I rather be left along with the GB.
Moved to teh OT forum as they will advice you better on what to do about your quandary
May the trolls have mercy on your soul mate.
You have a 1.4GHz dual core phone and Mali 400MP GPU and say it lags. My friend has a Wildfire that has a clock speed of 524MHz and no GPU and even he isn't complaining as much as you. Why don't you donate him your phone and make the good switch to Symbian S60?
what is even the point of this thread? It appears you looking to justify your feelings because you read an article and lack confidence to buy a new phone without a thread of people you don't know making a decision for you.

He is looking to develop for Note 4 Exynos (All Variants N910C N910U N910H etc), and is looking to make Cyanogenmod 12 roms and kernels for us. He is an recognized developer here at XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3463426
He is very committed to getting this device and developing for us so let's get him this device. He needs at least 639 Euros to buy the device, so please consider donating any value , even 1 dollar for an debugging/dev device he can work on. He had succeeded to port Cyanogenmod 12 to Galaxy note 10 2014 Exynos Tablet as seen here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/general/android-5-0-offical-cm-support-t2938652

because nobody cares to donate to some guy who may or may not port some crappy rom to our note 4s.
seriously who cares about cyanogenmod ? lollipop vanilla is far better and supported.
also you lose most of the notes functionality by rooting. knox goes, your dual personality phone becomes a single personality phone, you lose warranty permanently and you dont gain anything which you would not have already.
go buy a nexus 6 if you want a rooted/cyanogenmodded phone.

What makes me don't like CM is it's rarely made it through the stable build for past device I use. I'm definitely don't want to use experimental ROM in my precious device. Just my opinion.

I'm willing to help with something like 20$ but the Note was expensive as it was. I agree with people that AOSP > CM though.
Also, be careful, I'm pretty sure paid ROMs/kernels/etc are banned on xda and this might be considered as such.

Hey, so I thought I'd join in here as well.
What calj17 said is actually true. What you are 'paying' for is not my work, nor anything I craft/code, but rather the tool for me to do my work. I am providing development for free of course, it's just that I'm a university student and obviously cannot afford to buy a Galaxy Note 4 myself.
I'm not asking for donations either. I was asked by people to work on Exynos based devices since there's little to no development activity going on for these. I can tell that by now, my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (Exynos5420) runs stable enough to be considered a daily driver, with basic S-Pen features working (palm rejection, special pen buttons, etc.), so I'm convinced I could do the same on the Galaxy Note 4.
However, there are people that still like Touchwiz better for its superior features (especially S-Pen specific ones) that a custom ROM will never be able to achieve and I don't blame these people. I myself (obviously) prefer faster custom ROMs over a stock one, but to each their own is the correct agenda here I'd say.
It's just up to the decision if there are enough people in this community who think alike and would be willing do donate a few pennies. Here's the donation thread of the Galaxy Note 10.1 by the way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/general/android-5-0-offical-cm-support-t2938652.
You can see it was successful and it all went along pretty well. The community got exactly what it donated for (a usable CM-12.0 build) and I'm still working on the device every day (my recent contributions include making the aosp exynos5 drivers (used by the Nexus 10) fully usable on non-aosp devices - commits are here: http://review.teameos.org/#/q/status:merged).
Again, it's up to this community.
I'm in no urge to do anything on the Note 4. But I like what I do and I consider developing on android a healthy hobby for my university classes, so I will happily aid people to be able to run whatever they want on their devices if I am given the device to work on. Of course, You could get whatever ROM you want with a solid base. If people rather wish for a stable AOSP ROM instead of CM; no problem. From there on, other people can take the device bits and easily build AOKP/Slim/Omni/whatever you have in mind
EDIT: like the Galaxy Note 10.1 thread, I think this one rather belongs in the general section instead of Q&A.
Happy new year for all. I would like each one here to mention how much is going to donate so that we Will know who will donate and the amount of money left to be reached. I begin will donate 20 usd. Who else?

The N910U uses Intel XMM7260 modem, and the N910C uses Ericsson Thor M7450. Only difference between those two models is the modem.
Cellular and mobile data might not work, but someone might make an port for N910U, since the hardware is quite similar.
You should wait until the S6 as the platform will be more common and chances of somebody caring to port AOSP will grow.
At this point lollipop is just a few weeks away on stock.
Just my opinion.
The question is not Just getting lollipop. Is using pure android with the fast performance and lag free UI. Have a second option of rom free of bloatware and runing always the Last android build. At some point samsung will stop releasing new updates for note 4 exynos and we get stuck at the android version samsung want to offer us. Developers can GO on and offer us android 6.0, 7.0 etc as Google release them and we won't have to wait for samsung to release this for us

Galaxy note 4 likely to get Nougat

According to an article on gmsarena.com the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is likely to get Nougat.
The article mentions that "Note 4 in general is likely to get Nougat, but not before the Galaxy S7s and Note 5"
This makes a lot of sense since the failure of the Note 7.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Hopefully 2nd Quarter of next year.
Here's a link to the article

Too good to be true?
looking back on all note series and updates before note 4, I can say that nougat will never be available for it
Please small baby Jesus, make this be sure.
It would be a nice investment of the resources that were working on the Note 7 nougat update, and a good appeasement of Note fans, so it probably won't happen
No way the Note 4 will get Nougat, it's Samsung FFS! It would be smart and make sense for them to do it which means they won't lol.
In all seriousness though, if the only reason they are making such a comment that the Note 4 would likely get Nougat just because the T-Mo Note 4's just now got the Nov.1, 2016 security patch is a joke because in Canada we got this security patch back at the end of November which just means nothing more than T-Mo was slow as hell to release this security patch. I fail to see how this small update could make anyone think Nougat will "likely" arrive for our Note 4's.
Every other article that has mentioned the Nougat update states that 2014 flagships will not get 7.0 and I am more likely to believe those reports over this one article that bases it on T-Mo's late release of the Nov.1 security patch lol. I would love to see Nougat on my Note 4, especially after giving up the Note 7 due to Samsung's incompetence but it will never happen (not officially anyway).
Currently samsung wants their customers to purchase new phones, so that they can revover their losses caused by the note 7 fiasco.
Now, if samsung updates the note 4 to nougat, why would note 4 users consider purchasing a new device.
Therefore, even if we were to get nougat update before the note 7 started malfunctioning, it is impossible now.
They want to recover their economy.
Anyways, if the past updates of note lineup are considered, it still says that note 4 wont get a 3rd major software upgrade.
Failing of note wont make any difference, definitely not a positive one.
Therefore, simply dont expect something which is not possible and stop criticising samsung.

After the disaster of the Note 7. I can understand why Samsung may want to release Nougat for the Note 4. Seeing as the Note 5 is only available in the US and Asia but not Europe. Which leaves their European Note fans without a Note worthy flagship device. It would be a good idea to release Nougat for the Note 4 to restore a bit of user confidence in their company as a way of apologizing for the disaster that was the Note 7. Not that the Note 7 was a bad device, it was just poorly designed.

Note 5 is also available in South America. Here in Brazil for instance. But it's rare to see them, people prefer S7 or note 4 still. Or even S6..

Thats interesting.... But then again the Samsung's Galaxy Note series of devices were never very popular in the West as they are in Asia.
I m from Serbia(Europe), and here Note4 is last from note series so it will be okay if thay update to Nougate, but if not I going to root and flash with last rom....
I can't see why the Note 4 wouldn't get it.
The Note 4 has all the hardware it needs to run Nougat with excellent performance. Even although it's been a few years since its release, it is still a high-end device.
Besides, Samsung needs to recover some of the confidence everyone lost on it after the Note 7 fiasco.

Today I just heard about note 8 that it is "about to be released" to recover losses.
So no, I don't have my hopes up.

Anyone cancelling/returning their Note 8 in favour of the iPhone X?

I'm sticking with my Note 8 order: The S-Pen and screen size are clinchers for me.
But following today's Apple event and for the first time in five or six years, I can foresee a day I'll go back to iPhones.
The X looks pretty damn special. Anyone tempted?
Nope.

Ha! No hesitation - you're clearly made of sterner stuff than me
Its not out for 2 months. I will have already gone through the Note 8, V30, Pixel 2 and Mate 10 by then.....
But it does look great.... Doesn't really do anything the Note doesn't do, perhaps more elegantly in some parts, and the same on others... But that is always Apple. Except the stereo speakers. I had that on the iphone 76 plus and its really a nice thing to have...
Not happening...

Agree the iPhone 8 is boring. Same old.
Its the X that intrigues me.
I'm very tempted where it not for the long wait.
Apple just does everything that much better then everyone else.
Love the ui and speakers. 2 things which annoy me the most about samsung, poor speakers and laggy ui.
That edge to edge design kills note 8 design.
The first time apple have impressed me with their iphone x.
With me it is about the ecosystem first, then hardware second.
I can't get with the Apple's closed ecosystem. So Android is my ecosystem.
That said I really like Apple's Face ID and what goes with it. Apple did that right. And the software for the cameras is really nice. That iWatch 3 is really sweet too.
I hope that Samsung, LG, and Google learns from Apple with these. I would love to see these technologies and improvements in the near future in Android devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 9, LG V40 and Android watches in 2018.
The screen on the iPhone X looks just like a couple of Android flagship phones in 2017. So that is not exclusive to iPhone X only. But I like Samsung to take Galaxy Note 9 to that next level. Afterall Samsung made iPhone X screens.
iPhone X just gives me excited to see what Android manufacturers will do in 2018.
Looks like 2017 is Apple's tick and Samsung's tock. 2018 will most likely be Samsung's tick and Apple's tock cycle
This year I was looking into LG V30 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Since I was a Galaxy Note 7 user I chose Galaxy Note 8 this year. But that was a tough decision. LG V30 camera software, true wide-angle lense, and good audio quality made LG V30 very attempting.
Nothing revolutionary just an apple branded s8+. Only good thing is better facial recognition and dual speakers?
The notch up top is gonna be awful in landscape while gaming and watching movies.
n8 display has no notch and more screen estate. whats happens when your drop the phone and and crack the facial camera ? expensive repairs and no way unlock unless password.
I like having the fingerprint sensor as a fail safe as well as sd card support and 3.5mm headphone jack
The reason I dished out $1,468 (CAD after taxes) was entirely to have that glorious S-Pen again.
The iPhone X runs at $1,484 here, taxes in, and although the design is intriguing, it won't be enough for me to jump into iOS and ditch the S-Pen that I've been missing for what feels like an eternity.

Exactly this.
I caught myself hoping the iPhone X would be a disappointment. Another boring, derivative design. But in coming up with an exciting, beautiful phone, they're simulating the competition.
Will have wait and see what kind of sales Verizon or Best Buy are going to have before Christmas. Best Buys' $150 Note 8 sale plus $480 trade in Verizon gave me for my LG G6, it was too hard to pass up on the deal. So far, the Note 8 is probably the best phone I have ever owned.

The Tick Tock Cycle.
The tick part of the cycle is about new technologies and new styles.
The tock part of the the cycle is about refining the technologies and styles.
Last year Apple was in the tock cycle and Samsung was in the tick cycle (until the Note 7 battery issues).
This year Apple is in the tick cycle and Samsung is in the tock cycle.
Next year looks like Apple will be in the tock cycle and Samsung will be in the tick cycle.
Truth to be told. Both platforms get the same technologies sooner or later.
What is really important is the ecosystems. That is where one should make decision between iOS vs Android. Then make decision of hardware within that chosen platform.
Nope.
I never buy first gen Apple products. I made that mistake with the original iPhone.
Will wait and see what the next iteration looks like before I would even consider it.
I left that eco system 8 years ago and I'm NEVER going back.
No, might have thought about it if they would have made a smaller Apple pencil that would work with it but they didn't so I won't give up my note 8 because of the spen. To me the spen separates the Note 8 from all other flagship phones..

the new what? Iphone what?
lol.....
No i am an android man. I only wanted the first iphone. Couldnt get it and ended up with a HTC G1 (the dream). And with android i stay. And move to samsung and say with them.
Also note that samsung makes the lcd that is in the new iphone. Idk why they would do that, but i guess its a money thing. Even tho apple has sue them before for other stuff.
*edit
lol... There talking so much about face id unlock and we been having Iris unlock since the note 7 hahahhah.
apple people.

General Xiaomi EOS List

Hi Guys,
First of all, Merry Christmas everyone !!!
-- Hope you've all been on Santa's good list this year... ;-) lol
You may, or may not already know this... but whilst looking summit up for my dad (as we bought him a new phone for Xmas) I discovered this site.... It tells you the life of our Xiaomi products.
When they shipped, when Security Updates will end, what version of Android it shipped with, and what version of Android it will end on.
As you can see from the list below...
Xiaomi Security Center
Xiaomi Product Security Center provides users and partners of Xiaomi with detailed information on the security status of our smartphones and IoT products, including product security advisories and notices, security updates and support information, and security incident response process.

You may already be aware of this site, but just thought it was an interesting find, as it tells us what version they plan to give us before they kill it.... ;-)
Talking of which, does anyone know what the Internal model name is for the Redmi 10 2022 phone. As we got this for our dad, due to price point. We knew it was cheaper and inferior to the Redmi Note 11. But it hit a certain price point, and although the specs were similar, apart from CPU and older storage format and less of it... went for this one.
However confused by its internal name, some places/apps hint at it being called "Selene" and some apps are calling it "EOS", but they've listed this as both the "board" and "device" so makes me think the device is faulty...?? I'll post pictures of that part later....
Cheers, Lister

Selene is the original R10 phone from 2021. They released a 2022 phone but don't know if it is technically a different model. End of service?

Hi Sheist!,
Thanks for a prompt reply, ah ok so that would explain the "Selene" reference then, that it was from the older/original R10 model...
Its weird how some apps pick it up as Selene, and some are picking it up as EOS...?? Guess need to do some more research, and now need to double check I have actually got the 2022 model as thats what we ordered/paid for...
It was acting a bit off (well, compared to my SPESN model) and considering it was brand new and sealed, there was some odd grease marks on the screen protector from a brand new phone...? I didnt see the phone as soon as it was opened, so was a chance my dad could of added them. But thought it was a bit quick for those marks.
Now need to check its actually a 2022 model more than anything, and try work out why its showing up as EOS unless that really is its model....
Thats how I found the support page above, as it was EOS, End Of Support, End Of Service, End Of Security...
Thanks again for quick reply, appreciated...
Cheers, Lister
Merry Christmas Mr lister sir
Yeah as sheist said both models technically look identical , same screen , cpu and cameras . Have you tried the cpu-z app on the play store , that's normally pretty good at giving details about the system . It's the one with 50M+ downloads , don't install the malware ridden imitators
Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you too Mr Bernard Blacks, Bookshop.... ;-)
Xiaomi don't like to inovate much do they, so not only are the R10's (got becare using the 's on the R10 models, as they use S in their products too... lol) 2021/2022 similar, but all their other products are similar too.... So the R10 2022 is similar to the R11 Note in spec, apart from CPU, Storage technology and Screen OLED/IPS. Apart from that, same looks, size, shape, spec, features..... lol
I believe the camera's although same MegaPixels and alignments, I believe the R10 is actually slightly better, from what I read too... but we're talking like 0.5 of an upgrade. Must admit, I am impressed with the photos it takes....
So I used CPU Z on my dads phone, and I am convinced it is the latter model, 2022.... It just has a rather odd naming convention. So it shows similar data as the other apps. However the model of this phone is now: EOS-EEA ?
What a poor naming convention, or unfortunate name... practically says the phone is End Of Service/Security/Support.... lol
Anyway, for the money, its not a bad phone... (even better if we had got it at the discount price.... but sadly Argos and everywhere were sold out for weeks. When they got it back, it went up £50 lol ). But considering how similar it is to ours, minus the CPU being MediaTek... They've narf stripped the OS back, not a patch feature wise as our model. Must think the CPU can't cope... ;-) Despite it being a MediaTek (not a fan) must admit its still very fast/snappy....OS and Apps seem responsive enough....
Cheers, Lister
Talking of cameras , seen anything worth trying out yet ? I e been playing around with bsg 8.5 .. just as bad as the rest lol
And I thought of Argos straight away , I've been waiting for em to drop the price of tablets , which they did and as usual none in stock
The easiest way to find the device designation is with Device HW Info. Root is not needed. I cannot find it using the stock Xiaomi ROM. Look at the Device line under the 3rd column of System. I do not need NFC so mine is spes.
