Please forgive me if this is the 10,0000000 time this has been asked.
But can I somehow 'root' my galaxys10+, to be able to display regular android apps on my AA? Nothing crazy. Just like ESPN score dashboard, MLB scores etc...
No, it won't help, to show on AA, an app should be designed for this purpose and, unfortunately, only a small part of apps are designed to work on AA.

By the way, you should check all the list of apps working in AA, because, for example, MLB is one of them.

Well, yesterday upgraded my G1 to a RAZRi for 180 pounds (was a demo phone... but it literally looks new and has no scratches), the thing is, I buy the game Chaos Rings from square-enix and.... force closes.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone, at first I thought it was because the game had some sort of root protection in the early updates, but nowadays that is removed, but even with that the screen changes to landscape mode and then the game crashes, google play doesn't let me refund it (restarted the phone once and then the option dissapeared)
So I'm wondering if any of you bought it and has the same problems... thanks in advance.
Contact the developers. There is a good chance it is meant and written only for arm devices and won't work on x86 phones.

Sadly is what I'm thinking... although I already sent them an Email, they only say Android 2.3+ for the game to run, no any especial hardware (they have this on "supported devices" section)
Nobody really lists as only arm phones supported since that is kind of understood but should start changing soon. Thanks to Intel now entering the market.

I was told if I root my gear I can use bluetooth tether and essentially run apps on my gear. The apps I'm looking to run are for my car alarm and ingress. So what I was wondering is what I was told true? And do I just have to root my gear or does my phone have to be rooted as well? Because right now I have the Note 3 completely stock and unrooted.

You dont need to root your gear in order to run custom apps, depending on what type of app it is tho they may or may not work..
I would read up on side loading applications first, test the waters out.. the apps you require may work straight out of the box by simply side loading them to your gear with out rooting.
Alternatively if you find the apps dont work, you can try loading my rom which includes a few library's, unlocked features & other various functions that some apps require in order to run correctly.
EDIT: Here is a simple guide on how to sideload applications: HERE

Thank you bro! Very helpful

Awesome thank you! I'll have to read up on how you sideload apps. I saw a YouTube video where guy was actually playing ingress on his watch, what was on his phone screen transferred to watch screen same for his car alarm app, he just didn't say if it was rooted or not I just figured it was lol. Sorry had to edit my post. I do think you probably needs to be rooted to run something like ingress since it's an online game and the gear can't run anything online like a game or Facebook so I guess maybe that's why it has to be rooted and use a Bluetooth transfer lol I'm a very big newbie when it comes to the gear.

Bluetooth tethering is the easiest way. If you root your watch you can actually install play store and download as if it's a tablet tethered. Some apps may need to be wifi spoofed with is a xposed module included in null.
Keep in mind your phone needs to be running an international rom. I had to get rid of my T-Mobile rom for an international to enable Bluetooth tethering. Wasn't the watch holding me back, rather the phone itself

Just curious, I'm looking all over for an app that will read my texts to me while I'm driving and allow me to respond via voice. I see there are tons that send automated messages that I'm driving, but none that will actually read the message and allow me to respond without picking up my phone and looking away from the road. Coming from windows phone to nexus family, this is the only drawback i could find. Any suggestions?
If there's already a post with this can someone send me a link please.

Agent do not disturb. Been using it since I switched from moto x to nexus 6. It needs to be configured initially but works great. Even has a widget to manually turn on so you can use it while not driving.
Thanks, gonna try agent for a few days, as it's free and I don't need everything that's on enhanced.

You can use tasker and the auto voice plugin to perform this and much more! Tasker is a full automation app that has endless possibilities
For anyone that hasn't already heard, Google just released Allo. As of this post it is not on Google play yet, but I bring a link to the apk from India, who already have it.

Fair warning: there is no [worthy] SMS integration (yet?), However, the Google assistant is pretty fun to talk to. Someone at Google is gonna get a good laugh when they read my suggestion.

hahahah awesome bro!
Another Google flop.
Why is it so....lacking?! Even reply from the notification is limited to the quick replies from allo. Google made replies from notification along with this app and Nougat, but didnt implement it correctly? This is a stripped down hangouts. Can't even use it for SMS. it just doesnt make any sense.....uninstalled in 15 minutes. Will reconsider if some minor, yet crucial tweaks are made.
With no sms integration. This isnt going to last very long. The fact that you can't have it like hangouts where it's both an sms and instant messaging is going to kill it. I hate. No loathe the fact that now I have to have yet another app for instant messaging and a separate app for sms

Another useless google attempt. I don't use any google product if there is a good alternative. This company has so much user info it's scary.
Absolutely pointless! Uninstalled
If they add a web interface, it will replace Hangouts/SMS with those close to me very quickly because of the SMS fallback. But without a way to use it on other devices, I have no use for it.
This app is completely pointless. I don't care how pretty it is.
Whenever I sit and try my best to like an app, its usually gone for me in a day. The assistant is interesting, so maybe thats worth working with, but I will stick to my messaging app. I use pushbullet on my laptop so I can send/receive sms, still works well.
I really want to like it but if it can't be set as default SMS, doesn't auto backup my SMS, has no desktop client, doesn't import all my current messaging history I can't see myself using it. From the gripes I'm seeing around comment sections I know many feel the same.
I enjoy it for what it's worth, an IM client. Most of my friends and family are using it now so getting the most of it. Admittedly though, if your circle isn't into it becomes useless. The sms integration (?) is bizarre to say the least

It can't even pass the butter...
I was ery excited about this because i thought it was gonna be on par with imessage (before iOS10) But i was extremely disappointed to see the horrible SMS integration. Sure i can probably convince 2-3 of my friends to use it But i dont want to have to remember who has it and who does not.
Correct me if im wrong but i believe that during the demo at Google IO that they said for peope who do not have it it would post your google assistant stuff via MMS so that the people who your SMSing would see it.
I like it but with iMessage iOS10 update and the lack of SMS its really dumb.
Hello folks,
has anyone issu with loading a profile-pic in allo? i can only make a picture but not load a saved one? have the un- and reinstalled with reboot - the same
thanks for help
Has anyone figured out how to get a new/unread badge for new messages on allo?
I'm talking about line in the bottom of the display that is always on on iPhones and represent the ability to open recent apps or close the app that you're currently using. On our Mi 8, it's only visible when you watch videos or play games and try to go home directly.
So, my question is, can it be on permanently?
Sent from my MI 8 using Tapatalk
No, if you want it youu can use a 3rd party gesture app
Thank you, the stock one is good as it is, this is just a small detail that I would want to see in the future, but probably won't happen cuz Apple.
