My phone received an update notification for QPWS30.61-21-14, but of course being rooted with a custom recovery, it failed. Flashing only the stock boot image didn't help so I had to flash QPWS30.61-21-11 first then the update installed without issues. Thank goodness I had good backups. Now up to date with the August security patch.

yes, of course it is. update for RETEU is available since four weeks.

Yes QPWS30.61-21-14 is much newer. There is a version for reteu. Are you rooted or do you have a custom recovery installed? If so, you won't get a notification of the update. Even if you do, it will fail because of the custom mods. Go to this link to download the full version of your QPWS30.61-21-14 firmware. You can then flash it via fastboot.

There is updated Bootloader to V6 too. So you can't downgrade anymore to privies firmware.
New S5DPK5-to-S6DQC1-UP ADB sideload update. This update is official
If you update you not going to be able to go back unless someone post ODIN files of this firmware. Also i have Nougat files U5EQB8 to U6EQC9 with Version 6 bootloader is anybody want to try PM me. I will not post here for now since this contain version 6 bootloader and is not official yet so you can go back if other build will become official.

Hi. Did anyone get C636B394 update via OTA? Firmware finder shows that IMEI no. Is approved for B394 but I haven't got any update yet.
Im still stuck with Nov 2017 security patch.
Just install via Firmware Finder. It wouldn't make a difference installing via that app or the official updater app.

The download file becomes huge (the FullOTA-MF) because all EVA-L09,EVA-L19,EVA-L29 variants of the update starts downloading. So I thought maybe I'd wait for the official update. So far I got updates every month just that this month there has been no updates so was curious.

Ive seen some people saying they have an October or January or February patch, so just wanting to see what others may have if its different

The January 1, 2018 security update landed on my phone about a week ago. It's number NPSS26.116-45-9. You have to have October you can get this one, though. I am using a retus model. Probably too late to find my zip though. You might wanna check Reddit.

i wonder why my retus model didnt get an update stuck on july 1 2017.. And i got it midway through december so i would think that I would have gotten a software update out of the box over wifi for it? then again right now its bootloader is unlock and the bootloader says the software is modified?

I just got the message for the January Security update for XT1806 (retus sanders). Trying to figure out a way to patch and keep root... Or patch then re-root.

Doing just that, I was being cheeky when I said "figuring out ..." I was hoping that flashfire or RSDLite was still an option... but your steps above are still the easiest thing to do.

Yesterday I received the update with security patch 1 January and I have the model XT1806 us ...... So I waiting for the Oreo update....

Do you have the firmware file to share for the 4/64?
So, here's the thing: I upgraded to Pie using the leaked OTA. When the January update became available last month I didn't try to rollback or anything because it had nothing new.
Now the February patch is supposed to have the missing Pie apps (Digital Wellbeing, etc) and it would be really nice to be able to update, but I can't even update to the Jan one since it gives me error when trying to install the patch.
What's the best way to go to the February security patch? Should I try to flash an official firmware, and how?
I'm on 00WW_5_110 and my phone isn't unlocked or anything.
Yay, I did it! I followed this guide from here about unlocking the bootloader but only as far as downgrading to November patch.
After that it installed the official December Pie beta and then the January patch. It doesn't find the February update, but I guess it just isn't available in my region.

I recently bought the phone from Amazon.es. Based on IMEI my phone is for Cyprus which is kind a wierd.
My problem is that I'm stuck on PPW29.98-66 with January security patch and don't get update through OTA.
LMSA app does not update the phone even though it found this update.

After finishing the update I'm still on the old firmware.
On lolinet I found firmwares for RETEU software channel only.

Same problem here
Use latest LMSA application. It has been updated recently and will update your phone to the latest firmware.
