Yesterday on evox 4.6 i tried flashing viperfx and everything went fine but after it wifi breaks i don't know why and then currently i am on zenx os 1.9 same thing wifi breaks if i flash dolby or viperfx though ainur narsil doesn't have this issue.
Enforcing status is on permmisive and additional mods installed is only Busybox NDK nothing else magisk 20.3.
Can someone guide me on installing it without breaking wifi....
Are you using perf-g kernel? If yes it may be the issue. Just flash any other kernel

Check out speedmod kernel in the dev section.
Franco has disable tun/tap driver in his kernel. I don't know why. Although he has great kernel, I was forced to use speedmode kernel, where tun/tap working great.

I guess he installed the AOSP OC kernel from Alberto in maclaws CM 11.
As CM 11has wifi bug, sometimes reboot will give you wifi back. If reboot doesn't solve the problem, wiping cache solved the problem (at least temporary) for me.

I have used maclaws CM 11 with the first 3.0.101 kernel (no OC) from AOSP without problems. But I am back to maclaws 3.0.31 kernel, because of more than 300 additional points in antutu (3.0.101: ~9500, 3.0.31: ~9850).

ya i don't know whether benchmark affect performance
but on oc kernel my phone is flying no lag no stop just booooomb booooomb booooomb........
its directly visible in benchmark as u have seen in images
but there is some more battery drain and warming and no wifi issue
but i don't care because i want performance (i. e: no wait to open files, no lag while playing games because some third class phones like galaxy duos karbon a11 and like that runs faster than our sgs advance)
Wifi will not work because the wifi drivers are in the kernel, you changed the kernel so there are errors. Cocore is not compatible with cm because cm uses another kernel. So if you want wifi you have to switch to 4.1 and get cocore kernel and everything will be fine.

Hey,
Whenever I try to flash another kernel which is required to flash a new rom to my SP, everything works just fine. Except that when I finish the flashing and boot up to the ROM, the screen seems to flicker a lot...
I tried turning auto brightness off, flashing another compatible kernel, and flashing a couple of scripts that claimed to fix the issue...
I am currently at the stock firmware, rooted and with unlocked bootloader.
What is weird is, when I flash the stock 12.1.A.1.205 firmware back...the screen stops flickering.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

It's not only the cm11 kernel, other kernels like DooMLoRD kernel, which is based on the stock fw also has this problem..
Are you saying that I use a lower firmware kernel on a newer firmware?

As win32r said, you should try a cm11 based ROM but for locked bootloader (they work for ubl too). With these roms you can use a kernel based on stock ( for example stock kernel or Williams kernel Sony version) which should fix your issue.
All roms that are for LBL will work with the stock kernel or Williams kernel v7. I wrote something about this in the Williams kernel website : http://williams-kernel.tk/help.php and I'll probably write this info on xda too if I have some time.
Wow. Apparently, your kernel is the only one that that doesn't give me a flickering screen
I tried an unofficial cm11 build along with it and it worked like a charm!
I just can't thank you both enough...
Finally I got a fully working cm11 on my SP

Halogen isn't for stock ROM.
Its for CM or AOSP.
If you're getting problems then just clean flash the ROM and then kernel.
There's no problem with the kernel.

Don't know dude. Its working perfectly for me. Try a clean flash.
I have RR 5.8.0 (2017.01.03. build) Nougat rom.
With it's default kernel (3.10.104-sigmaKernel-shamu-2.4) everything works, but when I change to another kernel (first I tried elementalx kernel, but now I would like to use the nethunter kernel) and the builtin speakers not working when I play music or when I place a call I hear nothing.
Any idea what could be the problem or how to solve it?

Hi... You wrote you would like to try nethunter kernel... Have you finally tried it? Did it solve your problem?
There are several versions of ElementalX, are you sure you have flashed the proper version? It should normally be ElementalX-N6-4.15. Based on your ROM build, it should be pre January security patch...
Hope that helps...

I am still using the nethunter kernel right now and this is my problem that the builtin speaker not working. Yes I flashed the proper version of ElementalX, I have the EX Kernel Manager app and I flashed the latest Nougat version with it but after I changed the default kernel the speaker stopped working. I can make call with headset or when I restore back the default kernel with the kernel manager.

Hello... You shouldn't use EX Kernel latest version..!
Check EX website there's a version for nougat "pre January security update".
Try to roll back to your original ROM kernel, then install EX 4.15 to see if that helps?!

It is okay. It might work, but I Just mentioned ElementalX. Now I want to use nethunter kernel so please forget ElementalX!!!
Well... Try to reflash original from kernel first, then switch to nethunter. You flashed the wrong EX version which "may" have messed up. Go back to a working state (original rom kernel), try if speakers work properly, then retry nethunter kernel install.

I am doing this.
I have the "EX Kernel Manager" app, only the app to beckup and restore my kernel.
With the app I switch between the original and the nethunter kernel.
With original I have speaker, with nethunter I don't have speaker.

Ah... You didn't explain this in the first place...
I'd try installing EX 4.15 though or maybe Franco's kernel. So you'll be sure a custom kernel works...
About nethunter, I tried to search for a "no audio" issue and found that:
https://github.com/offensive-security/kali-nethunter/issues/752
Do you run a newer build with audio issue fixed?

Restore stock kernel first and try EX, Franco or any other custom kernel... If none work, try in the ROM thread maybe?
If other kernels work, you'd better try reporting the issue to nethunter.
