Call your network provider and ask for the settings to be pushed to your phone.

They can't for some odd reason. maybe they're clueless

WiFi Calling Issues

Hey guys, so just curious, is there a way to force WiFi calling? My signal sucks in my house but my WiFi is awesome. Supposedly the device will prefer mobile signal if it is strong enough, but you can't physically choose WiFi calling to be default.
If anyone knows anything, let me know. I'm on EE.
when at home if you want wifi calling to kick in instead of celluar, do the following but it is a pain to remember to do it each time
Turn on Airplane mode
Turn on Wifi
Turn on Bluetooth (if you use bluetooth)
when you leave house, just turn off airplane mode
You can set it to prefer WiFi instead of mobile network, I don't know if it really works, my p20 pro is choosing WiFi always, even if both of signals are 100%

have wifi calling enabled, but if I don't want it to keep switching to cellular while at home, i have to switch to airplane mode, then re-enable both wifi and bluetooth. it then works, but have to remember to keep switching
you may not see wifi calling in the notification area, but when you make a call you will get the wifi notice showing

does it say wifi calling?
Has your provider allowed wifi calling on the device?
Also make sure you have enabled the option in the network settings and check under the default dialer wifi calling is enabled

I think that's your problem, O2 do not support wifi calling on the device, both Three UK and EE do, not sure about VF either

I've attached screenshot showing the wifi calling option on the phone with Three sim installed
Call carrier support / Check firewall
I had to call vodafone. After some time they decided to disable wifi calling feature for my account for a couple of minutes and re-enabled it. That worked for me. My phone instantly logged into wifi calling again.
Also make sure that outbound connections to port 500/4500 are not being blocked by any firewall/router.
How do you set Wifi to be preferred instead of cellular?

May update enabled WiFi calling on my SM-N950F/DS (T-Mobile)

I have an international (gold) unlocked dual SIM and I thought I was hallucinating today when my phone got the May Android update and suddenly there was an option for Wi-Fi calling in Phone settings. I didn't think it would work but it definitely is at least on T-Mobile as I see "T-Mobile WiFi Calling" when I pull down the notification shade and calls work in airplane mode (with WiFi on).
Super stoked as this definitely didn't work before. Anyone else see this?
Why didn't wifi call work before?
I have a n950f and a German t-mobile sim
Wifi calling always worked

Different device than my SM-N950F/DS. Samsung didn't enable WiFi calling in settings in the dial SIM model until now that is.
Good to know, thanks!
after updates it doesn't show on my call settings. did you do anything different?

VoLTE/Wifi Calling LG V405QA

Has anyone figured out how to get wifi calling working? I've been looking for a third party app that will help, but I'm wondering if I just need to flash the 405UA fw on there. Can anyone tell me if that will work?
I have the same problem/question.
I did end up flashing the Verizon UA version, and at least for that carrier and where I live, wifi calling was lower quality than the carrier's. I know that doesn't really help, but I thought I'd update for you.

Thanks. I think I'd avoid all that as it is not that important to me. Cheers
BTW - for others, I am on ATT (via Red Pocket). R.P. says they support wifi calling and Volte on their GSMA (ATT) network. See here <https://help.redpocket.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022031312-What-is-WiFi-calling-and-can-I-use-it-with-my-Red-Pocket-service->. I had to call them to get wifi calling "enabled". But that still did nothing and in the phone's tech page (using USSD *#*#4636#*#*) it has never shown Volte or wifi calling provisioned.
I found this blog <https://gstylemag.com/2018/10/29/an-unlocked-lg-v40-is-both-amazing-and-not-on-atts-network/> and from the author says it just doesn't work. He also implies that the settings page for wifi calling is dynamically configured and that this item "disappears" when on ATT. So FYI.

XQ-AT52 VoLTE or Wifi Calling in Canada

Hello,
I have the XQ-AT52 in Canada and using it on Fido and works on their LTE network just fine, but I do not get the VoLTE nor Wifi calling options to allow me to enable them. Anyone know if its possible to get them enabled? If so, how?
good question...i'm thinking about the same issue for German provider but befor ordering it 0_o
You should
dial *#*#4636#*#*
choose Phone information.
click " Phone Information"
If your provider support Volte, you should see switchable "VOLTE Provisioned"
Switch it on and Restart the phone and you are done
ps: my provider doesn't not support Volte and my option is not switchable

My provider does support VoLTE and wifi callling, and I have those capability on my old phone, Huawei Mate 20 Pro. So it looks like the hardware or software of the XQ-AT52 does not allow VoLTE to be turned on, atleast in Canada.

Volte/WiFi calling

Hi, guys.
Just wondering if any of you have working VOLTE/WIFI calling on your Pixel 5.
I'm on Vodafone UK and none of these are working, I don't get the options for the two in Network settings.
Apparently, they are not provisioned ATM.
Have you had more luck with your operators?

all working for me on 3
Yeah, I had a feeling going with Vodafone is a mistake...
Working here with O2. They have a guide on the Vodafone website for the Pixel 4 so can't see why it doesn't work with the 5. https://deviceguides.vodafone.co.uk...ress the phone icon.&text=Press Wi-Fi calling.
Well, it's Vodafone. Apparently one of their geniuses has to add a line of code somewhere..
Anyway, the guide for P4 asks for activation from within the phone app's settings and the Wifi calling/Volte settings are missing from there on the Pixel 5.
On BT Mobile i have Wi-Fi calling after turning it on in the mobile network settings, the VoLTE option is also there, it is greyed out but set to the on position.

No VoLTE, tried it whilst out and about and the call quality was terrible after being used to it for so long.
I'm on iD mobile who use Three. I can see that volte and wifi calling have been provisioned and i have the option for turning wifi calling on but can't see an option for turning volte on.

Yup been through all the options and can't see it!
It seems it's different for every operator, I can only suggest to give ID a phone call..
I'm on 3, have no issues at all
Wifi Calling
works on my P5, also a 3 user
option is found under Settings, Network and Internet, Mobile Network, Advanced, Wi-Fi Calling
I'm on Vodafone and I don't have settings for WiFi calling either. Funnily enough when I got text message from Vodafone to download internet settings they didn't even have the pixel 4a/ 4a 5g or 5 on there.. so that's probably why people on Vodafone can't enable it because Vodafone themselves haven't added the phones on for WiFi calling
https://deviceguides.vodafone.co.uk/google/?type=all&topic=turn-wi-fi-calling-on-or-off
Check out this thread on Vodafone forum, will try it myself and see if it works

Okay so update for Vodafone users, I got it working.
Following the second link above, 1. Go into Vodafone app and turn off WiFi calling, restart phone. 2. Go back into Vodafone app and turn back on WiFi calling (wait for 3/5 minutes and then restart phone again (you should receive a text from Vodafone saying it's enabled on your account). 3. Go to call app > settings> calls>WiFi calling>enable.
It also shows on networking settings in advanced now too.
Now I'm connected to WiFi calling, hope this helps Vodafone users

It works for me now. Just try the following:
On MyVodafone app, disable wifi calling and immediately restart the phone. Then enable it again and immediately restart the phone. The Wifi calling settings should appear on Settings/Network and Internet/Mobile network (Vodafone)/Advanced.
At least they have in my case.

Happy to help, it's fkin frustrating to be in your house with only edge signal, hardly able to have a phone conversation, waiting for Vodafone to do its job.

What an arse i am, turns out the other caller was using their phone on speakerphone, made a few calls since and VoLTE is working just fine on BT Mobile.
Neither is working for me as well, but was working fine on my old phone.
What I noticed on my device is that it came from Google with the "KDDI only" build on it(see https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-5/help/kddi-variant-t4178033), which I suspect might be related to the issue.

I don't think so. The model of my phone is RD1A.200810.021.A1. Let me guess, is this the same as yours?
PS: what network are you on?
