I don't have the bubbles chat head turned on, but FB uses it. I just upgraded to Android 11, but now anytime FB Messenger chat heads is up, my gboard doesn't launch and causes the app foreground app to freeze. Does anyone else have this problem? To send FB messages, I have to drag and close the chat head and launch Messenger separate to send a message, or close FB Chat Heads for gboard to work again. Anyone?

New to XDA here, I have a Nexus One and don't seem to get any notifications on my facebook saying that ive been commented or added. The only was i find out is when i get an email.. I've tried searching threads for this same question, But there was alot of them and didn't seem to find what i was looking for. Can someone help me out or does anyone else have this problem?
The Facebook app (default one anyway) only supports Messages, Pokes, Friend Requests and Event invites.
If you're only using that, then as far as I know these are the only events you'll get notifications for.
Someone may well correct the errors above shortly though
Ok... So for example if someone writes on my wall that won't be something that the default facebook app on my Nexus will notify me about...???
Not sure about anyone else, but I do not receive any sort of notification in the tray on my NexusOne when Facebook events occur. It would be nice if a little blue FB logo would pop up in the tray with some sort of badge to notify you of the # of notifications you have... but Facebook has no love for Android and our FB app is far behind that of the iPhone (for example).
fb tells me when i have messages in the tray. you have to have facebook sync enabled under settings>account and sync>auto-sync enable for facebook.
probably have to change notification settings within the fb app as well
The facebook messenger application had an update today but there is no chat heads for the xperia z. At least not mine can anyone conform that they are working
Download and Open messenger (fb separate app) then go to settings > notifications > check chat heads.
Chat heads only appears when someone messages you through fb.

I know but it's not working. There is no option that have chat heads in the messenger itself
try these?
-settings>apps>messenger>clear data and cache, force stop and run it again
-uninstall messenger>reboot>install it again
with the latest messenger update it sometimes work (90%) of the time on my xperia z c6603 on .434 fw.
Yeah I've been using chat heads for a few days now and surprisingly it also works with standard messaging...that rocks

Is anyone having a problem with Hangouts? I am not receiving notifications when someone tries to chat with me. SMS come through and notify fine, but Hangout messages do not load or notify until I open the app.
Not had that problem, but Hangouts will force close on me from time to time until I clear it's cache or reboot the device. I really wish it wasn't an uninstallable system app.
I don't receive a notification if I'm on data unless I go into the app. I only get it when on WiFi. I had the same issue on my nexus 5 though.
I've had my nexus 6 for about a week now and I've tried Google messenger and hangouts for sms and NEITHER gives me an option to reply/delete/ignore (whatever) a text message straight from the notification like emails / gmail does.
Is this normal? I thought Hangouts let you do this, figured googles messenger would too, but...nothing???

Facebook app don't show me notification, when some has a birthday.
I make this mark
If I open facebook via browser, on the right side it show's when some have a birthday.
Few weeks, may be more, facebook apps shows birthday notification,
when I select on the top right corner bell icon
In current scenario I have to open facebook app and every time manual checking - events - birthdays.
In facebook app - Notification settings I select this one
Allow notification on facebook - on
Push - on
email, sms - no
All other notification are turned off, but I receive on my phone push notifications, about different things, which I don't want.
For example, some reply my comment, someone have interested about Event near to me and other, but no birthdays.
I don't won't any notifications from facebook app, just want when I open the app to have facebook notification for someone birthday.
If this cannot happen - android push notification will be fine.
Any ideas ?
