Seeing how there is nothing on this in the Optimus 2X section, I would like to spread the news(?).
However, that HAL component release is still nowhere to be heard of.
thanks for the information, but the news was already posted in the "ICS 4.0 Sources Out - All discussions here!" thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21718186&postcount=268
but it's still good to see people want to share news and help the developers
New Android phones and tablets get announced and before they are released, we get new sections for those devices.
A slew of new WP8 devices are announced, even have some release dates, and yet, nothing. Just general sections.
Can we get some WP8 love all?
Sir, If you want to request New Device thread, this is the place for such a topic/request, Thank You.
*** New Device Forum Requests ***
Since this is A DEVELOPER'S forum there must be interested developers willing to dev the devices before they get dedicated sections or at least interested devs. Also this is not the correct to request new device forums as mentioned above.

OnePlus has invited its customers into their new MP Early Access Program.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/m...rogram.507605/
According to the thread, Oneplus' Customer Base can now participate in a selection for the new MP (Mass Production) Software Testing Team.
This new team will be given "Near-OTA-Ready" builds of the Oxygen OS for a final run before it is released as OTA to the masses.
How it works :
The CBT (Closed Beta Testing) Team will test out the early versions of a new build. They find, report and fix as much bugs they could.
Then it is passed on to Open Beta Users where any left out bugs are detected and final suggestions and improvement requests from the wider user base is taken.
Then comes the role of MP team, where you will get Near-OTA-Ready builds for another final round of testing.
Once the build passes the MP team, it is released as OTA to the rest of the user base.
The Eligibility Criteria is rather simple :
You should be owning an OP3/3T.
Be a moderate to heavy user, willing to spare some time off for testing the builds.
Any experience in testing ROMs (both Official and Custom) would greatly add to your chance of getting selected. They are expecting around 150 people.
If you are interested, feel free to fill out this Google form; https://goo.gl/forms/cSMXSlkhPgLwTB283 ; which is also there at the bottom of the OP ,back at the Oneplus Forums.
More info can be found in the OP. (link posted at the top of this post)
Goodluck

It has been more than a year since our device was released, but until now we have not obtained the Kernel Source, so the development of custom systems and custom Kernel is hampered But this is not the real problem, Xioami is breaking the GPL, basically by not releasing the Kernel Source this is a breach of the open source contract that one has to obey when developing devices Who use Android, this post is a protest against Xioami, please protest let's get our rights, Do what's possible, but without spam, we are human and not robots
I'm afraid we can't do nothing about the GPL violation (legally) since Xiaomi is a company based in china

the closest thing to it in legality is GNU or Google doing something about it.
If they want to do business in regions that have the gpl, they have to comply to it.
I'm afraid that they only thing that can be done is a class-action lawsuit.
If anyone here knows anything about one being prepared, let me know, I wouldn't mind supporting, maybe even joining.
we are currently planning something bigger, following a study in University of Edinburgh and Trinity College Dublin, One of the devices studied was the Xiaomi, which was discovered that the system's default apps were spying on information and sending it My plan along with some colleagues is to make a post paying a telegram group with more than 150k+ members, and that my theory that also exists A spyware written in the Kernel, being the reason they don't release the Kernel source
In this case, we are organizing ourselves In this group https://t.me/speskernel
Only in that model precisely? Has that been detected in any other products by Xiaomi? Other brands?
That's a very serious accusation.
Besides spes (RN11) there's also FOG(RN10C) and Veux, all of them didn't have the Kernel Source released for no apparent reason, well it's just my theory apart from the Kernel but within the accusations Previous I don't think it's impossible
