How come some exercises on the Samsung Health app does not appear on the Galaxy watch 3?
For example, Jump rope exists in phone app, but on watch I cannot see it nor attempt to migrate it over from phone to watch.

On GEAR, you can take photo (camera app built-in), then it can transfer those photos from GEAR to your Paired mobile phone.
If you need more app, you can make installation from apk files (by the use of ADB or Wondershare GoMobile or Bluetooth File Transfer).
Yeah, but take a picture with the watches built in camera, and one with the phone. I tried taking pictures of my son trick-or-treating tonight and the watch doesn't do well in low lights or distances. I had the Sony Smartwatch 1 and it had apps to take pictures using the phones camera, record audio via the phone (So you could leave your phone in a room and record from your watch). On the remote camera app it even showed the viewfinder on the watch. Thats my chief complaint about the Galaxy Gear. The Sony Smartwatch came out over a year ago, and the apps it had are way more advanced than the Galaxy Gear which is $100 more than what I bought the Sony watch in 2012. I could read full GMail emails, facebook posts not just messages, same with twitter. It worked both ways the phone could control the watch and the watch could control the phone. The ONLY reason I'm putting up with the Galaxy Gear is because the ability to make/receive calls via bluetooth comes in handy for me. I just hope I didn't back the wrong horse by switching to Samsung..... I think Sony was more successful because they left apps to the Google Play store. Once the developer pack was out anyone could make an app for the Sony watch and put it in the market. I'm not very satisifed with the APP store being proprietary.

what your looking for is a remote for the phone's camera like the "Media Controller".
might not exist yet :/
I would like to know if there is an app that will allow you to activate the gear camera from your phone...for example if you wanted to use it in another room.

Just figured out how to use the gear as a trigger to take pictures with my phone
This is kinda limited but hadnt seen it on these forums yet so figured would share once I got this somewhat working. The app to use is camera remote, it is free on market, and needs to be installed on both the android device, mine is currently the verizon gs4, and to have it sideloaded to the gear, used wondershare no problem.Once both apps are installed, you lauch on the phone, and then select the option of camera, then you launch it on the gear, and select remote, its hard to see in the frames due to the adds but can be selected. Once both apps are running you can then on the phone select the bluetooth icon and select pair, assuming your gear is already connected to the phone through gear manager. Then select gear, then line up the phone to what you want to take a pic of, used my dog sleeping on the couch, and then on the watch app hit the camera icon and it will trigger the phone to take a pic. Im sure this can be expanded on but figured would share the initial fun.

I'm new to smart watches and android wear. Pinterest is listed on google play as an Android wear app, But after installing on my Samsung s4 the app does't show up on watch.
I've tried the usual, reboot watch and phone with no joy. watch is connected since it communicates with the phone with other apps. Seem to have the same problem with "watchmaker" app.
Dear All,
I have the urbane watch and i use it with iphone 6.
i see many watch faces but i can't add them in ios android wear app.
it's possible to add the faces directly in the watch without using iphone?
alternately i can synchronize the watch with more devices (both ios and android)?
Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to "load" an existing, non-VR app ("app1") into a "shell" VR app ("app2") and navigate app1 ? For example, you have a calculator app. Can you load this app into a "blank" VR app and use the calculator app from within the Samsung Gear headset? Can the calculator app receive events (button clicks, head movements etc) from the Gear/shell VR app?
Samsung PhoneCast VR Beta - Not perfect (after all it is beta). But there are many Android apps that work with this app. "Go to Labs" is where you can see many apps that you can use (most will work) in Gear VR. I use this to watch CBS all access, Amazon Prime Video, and more. The Samsung calculator didn't show for me. I did find that Office Calculator (paid version) did work great with this app. Also couple of calendars that I have in my Note 8 worked good with this app. Also email app, Gmail app, messenger apps, Hangouts app works too. Viewing events, making appointments, responding to emails and messages, writing emails and messages, etc.
You can get Samsung PhoneCast VR in Oculus Gear VR online Store, in the Oculus app store that you can access from Oculus Home while using the Gear VR headset, or from Oculus app in you Samsung device.
This currently works with S8, S8+, S9, S9+, Note 8, and Note 9.

It is the virtual tape. Anyone that has done accounting knows how valuable calculator tape is. You can even copy the tape and paste it into another app to save and print later. As well as do calculation corrections just by long pressing on what you want to correct on the tape and make the correction.
I personally don't want ads on productivity applications. That means No ads on business applications for me. So I pay $1.95

BTW - Who in the world asks about looking up "events" in a calculator?
I figured you mean "calendar". So I put in my experience with couple of calendars with Gear VR. Still just to be thorough I added my experience with calculators too with the Gear VR.
Interacting with an app is an "action". With that answer only with your remote controller and headset controls. No head movement and looking would trigger an action in Samsung PhoneCast.
So, went into the Galaxy Store and looked under receipts (that's where I used to re-download faces for Gear S3), noticeably shorter list of faces and also no download button.
When I look up the face by search (name of face/developer) nothing comes up.
Are some paid watch faces gone because they were removed from the store? Am I looking in the wrong place for the Watch 3?
I also still use the Gear S3 on my other phone, that store shows the same results.
