Hi all!
I am experiencing this problem... described here https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S9/Bluetooth-dropping-during-phone-calls/td-p/1297055
with my SONY Xperia XZ1 Compact on a stock rom (all updates installed) even after reset to factory settings.
It is blamed by Android users on latest Android updates, does not matter what brand of phone or what brand of Bluetooth equipped headset (mine is Bose).
I am seeking for a stable and secure unofficial ROM for my XZ1C following your recommendations that will resolve this issue. I do hope you have some for me?

Hello. I've only joined today as a result of the Samsung 9305 Jellybean Update 4.3.
I am on an EE T-Mobile UK i9305 LTE handset in factory condition, no rooting or any other modifications. I have just upgraded to the new update on 20 Jan 2014.
Apart from all the usual observations such as WI FI and battery life, I have another issue which I cannot find anywhere else.
Before the update and for the last year my i9305 worked fine with the bluetooth in my car. I have a 2004 X3 E83 BMW and the car paired absolutely fine. I would talk and connect with no problems. Since the update the phone connects to the bluetooth then drops after 3 seconds.
I have done the following:
Unpaired the phone and repaired;
Deleted the cache for bluetooth
Deleted the cache from the engineers mode
Samsung tells me that I now need to go to the dealer to ask them to upgrade my bluetooth software in the BMW, I explained that 1st I'm not sure if that could be done and second that would cost me money and time for something that was working perfectly fine 3 days ago for over a year. The only change is the update. Therefore I explained that there should be another update to correct this and all other problems immediately.
Has anyone encountered this issue with a car's bluetooth and anyone been able to figure out a fix. I don't really want to go down the avenue of trying a factory reset and testing if that works.
Many thanks
Havent had any issues like that with stock 4.3 and bluetooth so may or may not help but try clear the data for bluetooth share in application manager as well as un pair and re pair the device again after that has been done
Since Sony made the official non-beta Marshmallow available for Z3c many people are complaining about wifi issues: wifi connection is very frequently being dropped. I was searching for possible fixes but none helped.
I wonder if anyone knows how to fix those problems and I also wonder if this issue is only present on some special configurations (rooted/unrooted/RecRoot...). so I am starting this thread in hope to find the solution.
Please help with any useful info you can...

UPDATE <July 1. 2016>
Problem solved by choosing "Use legacy DHCP client" at Settings > Developer options.

exact same problem with me-i wonder if a factory reset makes any difference?
No issues here at all (UK EE) non rooted
i wonder if this issue is somehow connected with the rooting procedure, since i haven't heard of it on unrooted devices...
I have the same issue with my Z3c and concept rom, rooted. But I don't have the problem since beginning. I got the problems after my move. Now I have disabled visibility of network. In my old flat I had the WiFi visible and never had problems.

I found a fix yesterday, googling!
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3/Weak-Wi-Fi-signal-after-Android-6-update/td-p/1113392/page/6
It goes like this:
From settings->developer options I choose "Use legacy DHCP client", which use Loliopop insted the new one client, and everything is OK now.

I tested it and it works. No more wifi droping!
After following the advice reboot the phone (I also did a "Network settings reset" under Settings > Backup & reset before rebooting).
Poor Wifi connection on unrooted xperia x3c

I have acquired Sony Xperia z3c only recently and upgraded the new device straight to MM, so no experience with previous versions.
I think there may be some improvement using the Lollipop DHCP client, however compare with my other phone Samsung S4 mini (Kitkat) the wifi performance is considerably weaker. Measuring wifi with speedtest.net app I get such different results as 6-8 Mbps with Samsung and 2-3 Mbps with Xperia z3c. At other places where the wifi is even weaker (1-2 Mbps), the S4 mini is still capable of downloading stuff, whereas xperia hardly connects and if so then keeps dropping the connection. I wonder whether the issue is possibly linked to the MM battery optimization, as there is no more the option of not saving battery using wifi. Within the optimized processes I've picked "com-sonymobile-wifi" to not optimize and seems to me that the wifi connection has improved slightly.
Any other suggestions in terms of improving wifi performance through power settings?

I did everyting what mentioned earlier, but nothing helps, I flashed back KitKat, and the issue is still here. It doesn't matter if it's rooted or unrooted. So I flashed back the original firmware and sent back to the local sony service because I still have guarantee for it. Now I'm waiting and maybe they can fix it.
WiFi has been spotty on this phone through all the versions of Android it's had. The legacy DHCP option is new to me I may try out out if i get anymore wifi issues

This did solve my problem with Xperia Z3 (D6643). I rebooted after enabling it, and it fixed spot on.
hi my experia z3 shows the WiFi but no connection, let me knw how to fix this
Hello everyone! I'm a newbie to XDA. Sorry for my bad English
I'm using an Xperia Z3 Compact Docomo. Recently, I found out a problem with wifi on my device. I've spent time to search for this for several time, but it's not like any opportunities there:
My device is running on Marshmallow. The Internet is very, very slow( of course I don't enable any Battery Saving Mode). I have flashed my device back to Lollipop, but the problem was still there. Then I flashed my device back to Kit Kat, the connection was ok. I thought that this problem is my device's firmware. However, when I used my device on Marshmallow to connect to my neighbor's wifi, there no problem with Internet connection. Then I flashed back to Lollipop and connect to my neighbor's wifi, the connection is still ok.
I think this problem related to DHCP, Mac address,... or something else like that but I don't know how to fix.
Now I'm running on Kit Kat in order to keep normal connection with my wifi. But I don't want to stay at this version because of the ancient interface, you know :crying:. I want to go to Lollipop or Marshmallow. Can you explain why and help me how to fix this problem ?
Thanks you!
Hi all,
After last system update my Bosse SoudSport headset became useless. I'm experiencing constant sound disruptions in both channels. Also, music speeds up after such disruptions. This is very irritating because I use my BT headset all the time.
I'm absolutely positive that issue appeared after latest update 52.0.A.3.163. After some diagnosis I narrowed it to devices using ACC codec. Devices with SBC or aptX works fine.
And yes I already tried resetting network settings. Repering software via xeperia companion and clearing cache and data of Bluetooth app.
I would very much like to downgrade to previous firmware, 52.0.A.3.126. Unfortunately XperiFirm do not provide old firmwares so I'm stuck on 52.0.A.3.163.
Does anyone know where can I get previous firmware to my H9436 XZ3.
Any help or suggestion will be much appreciated.
Hi,
Just wanted to inform that issue is resolved now after latest fw update. It took 3 months but hay, at least they addressed it.
Cheers everyone!
Well, I connect a Bluetooth device, such as Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth in a car. I try to call someone on the phone, but the call doesn't go through. The information panel shows that the SIM cards are not activated, then after a few seconds, they reboot and become active again. If I make calls through the internet, there are no such problems. Restarting the phone doesn't help. Resetting network and Bluetooth settings doesn't help. Resetting Bluetooth devices doesn't help, so please don't suggest obvious solutions, I've already tried everything simple. The problem is definitely not with the headphones; the problem is with the phone itself, but I can't figure out how to solve it. I didn't find anything useful on the internet. The phone is Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G. Android 13.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?
p.s. everything worked fine several weeks ago.
Android 13? try reflashing the firmware and the MIUI once again from the stock rom from thirdparty websites, or just use the a12.1 custom rom although its not a13, its working and everything is just awesome, no issues at all, and its AOSP so its much better than MIUI
