Hello everyone
I have a huawei p8 lite 2017 with Android 7.0 and Emui 5.0.3 and I tried to install the latest twrp recovery available (
twrp-3.4.0-0-prague.img),
but gives FAILED error (remote: partition length get error).
I tried flash by trying both fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp.img, the first command says OK but when I try to go to recovery it opens the EMUI recovery, when I try to reset to factory data from settings or try the update to android 8 fails.
How could I solve?
Its for Emui 8 above as far as i remember.

Android 6.0.1
Bootloader: unlocked
Im having problems with flashing/booting TWRP
It flasheh succsesfully, but it doesnt boot. This is the error i get in the comand prompt: Boot twrp: failed (remote: dtb not found).
I tried flashing it via oneplus3t "all in one tool" and i tried it with downloading only the TWRP.img and flashing it in comnad prompt myselfe. Always the same problem. I also tried a modified TWRP which i found on the thred here somewhere: same problem.
It flashes, but doesnt "open" or boot. Right after I flash it if i click "recovery" it just goes back to the fastboot menu where i started.
I also tried this before i updated it on the oxygen 3.5.4
Please help, Thanks
Did you use the specific twrp recovery for the 3T? This one: https://dl.twrp.me/oneplus3t/
And did you follow a guide. This one for instance: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...wrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup-and-more.475142/

Hi, can anyone provide me with stock recovery for Vtr-L09c440b112.
I'm trying to update my p10 to the latest version but since I have twrp installed during the reboot process twrp loads and gives me error 9 and prevents my device from updating. So I'm hoping I can place stock recovery and the update process goes well. Then I can re root.
Up
I have the same problem with my p10 trying to install an ota and my device is rooted the only way is to remove TWRP and to relock bootloader I think but i'm struggling with it since 48 hours now ...
- Download the installed or desired firmware as a full-ota packed from hwmt.ru / Firmware Finder.
- Unzip the downloaded too file and use the tool "Huawei Update Extractor" (Google it, it's a post here on XDA) to open the unzipped update.app file.
Extract the recovery.img and recovery2.img.
- Boot your phone into fastboot and enter following commands:
"fastboot flash recovery /PATH/TO/recovery.img"
"fastboot flash recovery2 /PATH/TO/recovery2.img".
- Now the stock recovery is installed.
You have to do the same with boot.img, because you can't install updates with the official method when you unlocked your bootloader.
Hi, I've got as far "fastboot flash recovery /PATH/TO/recovery.img". I've tried typing into CMD;
fastboot flash recovery C:/Users/dange/Desktop/filefoldewr/Huawei Official Firmware/Extract app file recovery.img
but i get an error: 'fastboot' is not reconised an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Where did I go wrong please,
ThankS Brian
I was upgrading to EMUI 9.1 and relocking bootloader, but ended up with botloop ony my P20 Pro.
Fastboot - working.
Bootloader - unlocked.
FRP - not visible (was unlocked).
Erecovery - "Getting package info failed."
HiSuite 9.1.0.305 - "System recovery isn't available on this device."
TWRP flashing - can't enter it after fastboot reboot.
Code:
fastboot oem get-build-number
(bootloader) :CLT-L09 8.1.0.164(EEAC782)
fastboot oem oeminforead-SYSTEM_VERSION
(bootloader) :CLT-L09 9.0.0.195(C432E5R1P9)
I was trying to use Huawei Update Extractor with 8.1.0.164(EEAC782), 9.0.0.195(C432E5R1P9), CLT-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.325 as following:
Code:
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash kernel kernel.img
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdis.img
fastboot flash recovery_vbmeta recovery_vbmeta.img
fastboot flash recovery_vendor recovery_vendor.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Sadly it didn't brought any result.
Please help me with resolving this issue.
Did you try with the dload method?

I tried dload method.
With 8.1.0.164, 9.0.0.195, 9.1.0.325 i'm getting "Software install failed".
I managed to boot too TWRP.
I had to patch it from fastboot, then boot to recovery with VolUP, then make wipe and hold still VolUp.
Seems like EMUI patched, so P20 is back!

Hi,
How did you manage it to bring it back?
I have the same issue, in fastboot I see my phone, but can't get into bootloader nor erecovery..
Everything unlocked, but I have a black screen!
Hey there. So I tried installing eva-L09c432b386 from OTA, which failed. I _believe_ I am on eva-L09c432b383, but I'm not sure. I think I had EMUI 5.0 or 5.1 and the OTA update of b386 was offered. I have TWRP installed and (years ago) I changed back from c900 to c432 .
Stupidly, I wiped data. I do have a Nandroid Backup, which, however fails to restore due to Error 255. (I can't find more detailed logs)
I'm very confused as to which firmware version I need to download and flash, whether or not I need to change to the stock recovery, etc. Could you give a hint? Can I use any version and go directly to Android 8 or something, or do I need b182 (this is what I am frequently reading here...)
Thank you for your help!
You can try to reinstall firmware by eRecovery.
Switch off, connect to charger (!), press and keep pressing Vol+, boot by Pow.
Select Install latest firmware and recovery.
If it succeeds you may do Factory reset (also from eRecovery) before booting to System
If eRecovery won't work, boot to Fastboot (switch off, connect to PC, press and keep pressing Vol-, boot by Pow) and execute (you must have ADB & Fastboot installed on your PC - if not, search for Minimal ADB and Fastboot on XDA and install).
You can copy to bat file and execute:
Code:
fastboot devices
PAUSE
fastboot oem get-bootinfo
PAUSE
fastboot oem get-product-model
PAUSE
fastboot getvar vendorcountry
PAUSE
fastboot oem get-build-number
PAUSE
fastboot oem oeminforead-SYSTEM_VERSION
We will see what was your latest firmware (model, cust, build number) installed
Btw, b182 was Marshmallow (EMUI 4) and for Oreo (EMUI 8) you must have unlocked Bootloader and FRP/OEM), working Nougat (EMUI 5), then rebrand and update:

Hi everybody
Tried to install a custom rom on my device and it has turned out to be a disaster. I'm completely stuck and have no idea what to do next. Tried everything i could find but i keep having the following problem.
Device: mi k20 davinci
Bootloader: unlocked
TWRP file: twrp-3.3.1-0-davinci.img
ROM: davinci_global_images_V11.0.4.0.QFJMIXM_20200117.0000.00_10.0_global_4c094d085a
TWRP had been succesfully installed but i broke it somehow and now i'm back in the fastboot mode. When trying to re-flash and boot twrp i recieve the following error:
"FAILED (remote: Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error)"
If i try to flash the stock ROM with the miflash tool i receive the error
"Antirollback check error" "error"
if possible i just want to go back to stock and forget about this for now
Post it in K20 and not K20 Pro section.
I didn't know K20 had antirollback protection. Maybe try to flash a newer miui version, maybe a beta ?
Have you also tried "fastboot boot twrp.img" ?
