When playing music files on the ASUS Rog 3, I have been using the 'Neutron' and 'Poweramp' apps.
Is there a way to play music files natively through the ASUS Rog 3?
I can't find a default music player on the phone. If I go to the 'file manager' and select an mp3 or FLAC file, the only options to play the music file are through my purchased apps I have like Neutron' and 'Poweramp'.

Hi i am using miui with the music mod player. i'm trying to get the player to only search for music in one folder only. it currently searches all folders on my sd card and that includes in game music from some gameloft games i've downloaded. is there a way to get the player to just read mp3s from my /sdcard/music/ folder? thanks
Hi,
Having trouble with my Galaxy S showing WAV's in the Music player.
I can play them under files, and have set the music player to look at the folder where they are stored, but the media scan does not seem to pick them up.
AnyIdea's?
I went to a concert and recorded some songs live at hd high res and transferred to my computer,i could not get windows media player to play them ,and i tried 20 or so shareware programs and cannot play them.I then moved the files back to the same folder that i took them from and cant view them on the phone either.after doing some research i found them to be a format called h264 with acc ..the file reads vid_20120810_215737_517.mp4. I understand mp4 is a popular file format, does anyone know a program that can play this type of file or what codec do i need to view them?I have vplayeys and bs video from android market place.
VLC player can most definitely play it.

I have a rooted nexus 6 . When i download a song using music download apps from playstore they donot show up in the music player tracklist. I use musiXmatch to play music . When i download a song it gets stored in the music folder in storage. The player reads all the songs that present in the music folder but the one downloaded from the app. The music file i downloaded and the pre existing music files are the same type audio/mpeg.
Hi everyone,
since updating to MM Samsung MyFiles (the stock filebrowser of samsung) won't assign mp3, flac basically any music file to PowerAmp which is very annoying. In the past if chose a music file it would ask me which app I want to open it with nowadays it opens kodi and if I remove kodi it says there is no app to open a mp3 with! (I removed the stock music player) Just once when my usb otg stick was connected and I chose a m4a. (aac) audio file it asked me if I want to open it with PowerAmp or kodi but having the same file on the device memory it's the some either kodi or no compatible app message.... does any PowerAmp user has the same issue?
