Hi guys,
For the life of me, cant find my nfc activation spot. On my sony phones, there is an icon on the back of the phone, but there aint any on the L90. I have the 'N' variant, single sim.
I have a D410hn (w7dsn = dual SIM with NFC), and it's in the back of the phone. If I remove the back cover I can see the NFC active area. Of course, make sure NFC is enabled in the settings first.
Hello...
After enable NFC in my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and touch the NFC RFID card (13.56 MHz), my phone gives a message "Tag may be restricted". However, when I use other NFC enable Android phone, it reads and displays information just fine. I really need your help as I'm using this phone specifically for writing and reading NFC RFID card in identifying/updating trees information. TQ.
Some Note 8s have been experiencing issues related to NFC. Can you check if MST in Samsung Pay or wireless charging works?
I'm able to successfully read and write nfc cards for my amiibos
I have the same issue I can't read NFC tags but s5 it can. Any idea??????
I just received a new blue XZ1 Compact off Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Sony-Xperia-...074P5MVZD/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8) and I'm a little confused why the fingerprint sensor was working right out of the box, despite hearing many reports to the contrary. Unfortunately I'm not finding the wi-fi calling or volte options though (I use T-Mobile), might anyone know why the phone I received seems backwards from what's usually expected?
VoLTE, wifi Calling & the fingerprint sensor are all different parts of the firmware. There's nothing wrong with the phone.
Firmwares are divided up onto regions, the USA region famously has the fingerprint reader disabled. Perhaps your phones firmware is from outside the US.
There's a whole thread dedicated to getting VoLTE and wifiCalling working on US phones
Does anybody use mobile payments via NFC on X2 Pro? I cannot make it work on my EU version. Tried a few places and the terminal always says that it can't use this card.
I am using it every day with no problems. Maybe you have badly set your Google Pay.
Can you suggest how to set up nfc in gpay im unable to set it up
It works for me aswell, i did just enter my card info in gpay app, and it worked.
Check with your bank and se if your card/bank can use gpay.
perfectly working
Sadly there are no payment apps that support NFC in India
It was my fault. I wanted to pay via my banking app, but it turned out they deprecated hce payments. Gpay works well.
I also used mobile payments via NFC and I can say that there were always problems with this, which did not end. Seriously, as soon as they fixed one problem, another one would appear. Then I was looking for an online gambling payment for myself, so I needed an option that would be a little more reliable. It just pisses me off when nothing depends on me and makes me wait. Not that I'm a big IT specialist, but every time you fix something that you don't have to fix it quickly gets tired and annoying. Hopefully they'll do something about it or they'll just lose customers like they did in my case.

SBI Card pay (for SBI cards) works just fine with NFC. Not sure about other cc issuing companies.
NFC not working and I can't find anywhere to enable it(not even in settings).
What could be the issue ?
Do you mean REDMI NOTE 7 or REDMI NOTE 9 ?

Obviously Redmi Note 9, thread renamed and moved to the correct section
@sundaysec
Are you totally sure your Redmi note 9 has NFC? Some versions don't
Whether or not, you can test it by doing the following (you'll need an NFC tag or NFC equipped bank card etc)
Settings > About Phone > All Specs > tap Kernel Version four times
This opens up CIT
On my phone (model number M2003J15SG) item 31 in CIT is NFC Test
Tap that and follow the instructions
If your phone doesn't register the tag either:
a) your phone doesn't have NFC (likely if this were the case, CIT wouldn't have given you the option to test it though)
b) your tag isn't working
c) your phone's NFC isn't working
For info, I just turned my NFC off and tested that the phone doesn't recognize an NFC tag. Opened CIT and tested it and it recognized the tag - so it seems CIT will test the hardware, even if software is disabling it
If it still won't work, post back with your model number and I'll check if it is supposed to have NFC

Yeah but there is a problem that i can't turn on nfc (I have the button but it instant turn itself off) so while checking i just get message "Please turn on the NFC function". And I have exacly same model as you so I'm sure it has got NFC function
Hi @Grimer_
I have the exact same problem with my Note 9. I have used NFC on this phone for a couple of years without an issue but it recently and suddenly stopped working (possibly after the MIUI 13 update but not entirely sure about it). It seems that NFC turns itself on and off continuously from the drag-down panel but it has actually never worked since. I have tried all sorts of suggestions from blogs etc but nothing worked, I even reached out to the Xiaomi team through the feedback channel app but they stopped replying. If anyone has any idea how to fix the bug I'd be happy to try it, thanks!
