[READ] Official info about Marshmallow and 5.1.1 for P8lite

Hello guys
so I asked the Huawei Mobile (Poland, on facebook fanpage) about the update on our phone and they said:
- work on update 5.1.1 is stopped because they have already started preparing update to android 6.0
- Marshmallow for P8lite will be released in this quarter of the year. (my assumption is the end of the march)

Most probably - yes. However you will have to wait few more weeks after no-brand version is released.
That's because brands make their own additions to the roms and after they do so, package with rom has to be certified which also takes some time.
This step depends on your brand only.
I got my P8Lite from polish Orange brand but I see no operator extras so maybe I will get update the same day eu version is released.

I have contacted via facebook Huawei Mobile Sweden and Italy. Both said that the Marshmallow will come to P8 Lite, though they didn't specify any time. I've also read that Huawei Austria replied to someone via twitter confirming the update as well.
Anyways I hope that it happens like they said to you, in the first 2016 quarter

Hi, i asked about Marshmallow update from Huawei finland by email. They answered that they are trying to get it out on February but they don't know day yet. I asked something 'bout beta but they didn't answered to it. Proof (in finnish ofcourse )

B170 Dual SIM Europe update include Vendor package for unbranding. I have updated my T-Mobile branded phone to unbranded.

I just fired off an email to Huawei Australia to see about when the ALE-L02 variant from Telstra could see the update, seeing as Telstra are the worst when it comes to releasing updates on time rather than 6 months later like with their branded Samsung phones. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later

Does anyone know when Ale-21 will get marshmallow update.??

I have beta android 5.1 for Huawei p8 lite and it is terrible, battery discharge so fast.. Ram is too bad. I look forward to new version ?

Will they add auto focus in camera while recording? Will they fix the GPS and compass issues?

Official oreo update for pakistan region is available through system update.
No need of FF.
Check for updates and go for it.
Before download and install take a backup. Then download and install.
Once done then factory reset for smooth experience.
Once done restore your backup.

I am not in Pakistan, I think it's release for all.

Not at all. my battery time is doubled. Just after updating make a factory reset. All will be ok.

Yes currently it is available for C185. i think C432 Europe received first of all. As as per huawei it will be available till the end of may. 2018 to all Mate10Lite users.

Release is being pushed region wise. I think yesterday Egypt also got release and some other countries as per users reports.

I'm from Europe with the RNE-L21 model and i still didn't get the update...

I'm also from europe and no sing of oreo, just received update b135... according firmware finder it's all ready couple months old update. Just have to be patient and wait, first i thought to update to beta version but because bootloader unlock site is down i'm just going to wait.

Yeah i got the same version..i'm still hoping we gonna get the update till the end of the month,if not i'm gonna unlock the bootloader and install it by myself..

Don't try to install it, it's a Chinese only version. It's the quickest way to brick your device.

The Beta is normally sent to China based users or India, Yes it shows up on FF however if you ran a check it states its no ready for the phone just like B144 does currently, I am glad your running Android 9.0 EMUI 9.1 on your phone however you took a risk and a very big one at that.
Hence my statement above as so other don't go nuts and then come on here like it has been recently with "I have bricked my Honor 9 Lite HEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP!".
If and when its offered via FF as safe or via the Honor Beta FTA will i even think about installing it.
Also another thing, if you hate EMUI 9.1, how are you going to roll back your device it needs a special firmware (Which yes does show on FF i know, but its the Chinese firmware yet again).
So rather coming out and going its not the truth maybe think why it was said in the first place!

Of course. That's a beta also. Whoever wants to try it, must know that is not for everyone.

As of 24 June 2019, there are issues with EMUI 9 update(Build number:9.1.0.112)
Issues:
Wifi connectivity issue.
Performance issue.
Now you have to hold the power button for 7 seconds for the power menu to pop up.
More bloatwares and background services.

My sim free UK Honor 9 lite has just (25.06.19) "over night" updated to EMUI 9.1.0, build 9.1.0.117(C432E4R1P3). so the updates are coming guys.

I got the same build about two weeks ago. My phone started acting weird after updating to pie.
It started rebooting itself and stuff like that. I hope they fix this on upcoming updates though.

Upgrading Redmi 9 questions

Hello peeps,
I recently purchased a Redmi 9, it came with MiUI Global 11.0.7 Stable (QJCLMCR). I've been trying to update it through the phone butI haven't been able. Some friends that already have MiUI 12 told me thatsince I purchased it through the phone compnay they modify the ROM to add their apps and stuff anf that may be what's preventing me from updating and I'd have to update it manually if I didn't weant to wait.
I googled how to do it manually and it involded downloading the ROM but they seem to have a different version than mine (QJCLMCR) I don't know if this would work with mine or if I should check anything before installing it. I seriously don't want to mess up my phone so I'd appreciate any help with this. Does this would work with my version or do I have to look somewhere else?

Bro , from which country do you come from? it seems you are from Colombia . You have an operator modified version of miui, in your case I think it's Claro. You cannot update manually, nor use one of those roms in the image since you can hard brick your phone. You have two options: Wait for your carrier to release the update (which usually never happens) or change to the Global Rom, you must unlock the bootloader and flash via MiTool.
And you can remove the Preinstalled apps with ADB ! (you must be careful!). Cheers!!!

Yes, you're correct, I'm in Colombia with a Claro phone. I guess it's a good thing I asked beforehand. I'd try to change to the Global Rom, thank you for your the information!

I must say that the Oppo Premium Support is great.
After trying different things, they sent me this link:
https://coloros-website-cn .allawnfs.com/upgradetool/OplusUpgradeToolSetup.exe
(remove the space after coloros-website-cn)
I installed it and was able to install 12.0, and from there I was able to do OTA.
You can download it from there, it is the original link, or you can contact support through email, and after making you try different things, they should send you the link.

Sorry I didn;t reply earlier. Today 28 of August 2022, my oppo is still not upgraded.
I bought it in Germany. I tried VPNs, today I even registered for the Oppo account. nothing.
I am seriously considering calling support.

same issue with telstra australia anybody tried to change the region of phone and been successful earlier it worked on oppo find x2 pro having same issue

I had the same issue for months and fixed it yesterday via NORDVPN through France. I now have the 12.1, hope it solves it.

I just tried with another VPN on Belgium and France, and still nothing.
It is absolutely crazy that I haven't received an update in over a year.
Oppo is going to launch ColorOS 13 and I am still in ColorOS 11.
Very very bad. I am going to call support.

Not that I recall.

I was in the same issue and the above tool sadly did not work for me (phone from Germany used in Romania) but i used a free google play vpn app - VPN.lat, with Italy vpn and got about 3 updates, now i am on 12.1.
