Alright, here are some of my thoughts on the phones :
I've had the 6P for about a month. Sending it back actually.
It is taller than the Note, and heavier. The metal feels nice, and the stereo speakers are awesome, not quite as good as a Moto X, but close. The Note's speaker is actually pretty decent as well, it will just be firing off to the side rather than towards you like the Nexus, but its not dramatically worse or anything. Battery life was comparable to what I see from the Note, some days better, some days worse. The UI is blazing fast, more importantly it is consistently fast, without the occasional judders you might see on the Note, especially when scrolling. It is running stock android, well Google's idea of "stock". So there aren't as many features as Samsung likes to put in, no multitasking like the Note, and obviously no s-pen.
The camera is fantastic, especially with HDR+ on, but it really suffers from the lack of OIS in 4K video. In 1080p, it has EIS, which does a decent job. I noticed it tends to capture more light than the Note 5 in low light videos, but it will be a bit more noisy. The Note tends to over expose a bit to get more light in some shots causing some bright lights to be blown out, while the 6P will do a bit better job. However I did notice in most shots, the 6P sort of under expose, and you get an overall dark shot, sometimes it is darker with HDR+. That may be fixed with an update. The Note produces warmer images in my opinion, while the 6P leans toward a slightly cooler temperature. Obviously, the camera app on the 6P is pretty simple and straight forward, but does not offer the many modes and manual controls you find on the Note. Third party apps can help with that. Overall, as far as the camera is concerned, I prefer the Note. It has slightly softer details and warmer colors than the 6P and just looks more pleasing to my eyes, not to mention, the Note is very quick in opening and capturing the images. Double clicking the power button opens the camera, so that works fine.
Front facing camera on the 6P is pretty great. Didn't use it all that much though.
Display is slightly better on the Note, but if you set it to AMOLED photo, it looks pretty much the same as the 6P. A very nice panel on the 6P, really.
I seemed to have slightly better cell reception with the 6P as well on T-Mobile.
Finger print sensor is far quicker and more accurate on the 6P, but it is on the back. Makes it a bit difficult to use when placing the phone face up on a surface. On the other hand, it is really easy to unlock while taking it out of your pocket.
No wireless charging on the 6P, but it does support faster charging speeds with USB C's power profiles (5V @ 3A) and a USB C charger. Usually took about 90 minutes to charge from empty to full.
The Nexus 6P is a fantastic phone, but in the end, I missed the added features of the Note, especially the s-pen. If you really don't care for the extras that Samsung adds and don't really care about super stabilized 4k video recording or manual controls on the camera, etc., then the 6P is great choice. Being a Nexus, you will get timely updates as well. My 6P was already on 6.0.1. If you are keen on trying stock android, this is a good phone to do so.
As for the V10, I had one for about a day, so I can't really say too much about it It's built like a tank. The camera is fantastic like the G4. Removable back and expandable storage always a plus. The second screen is kind of useful I suppose, but I didn't have it long enough to really tell. I really didn't like LG's skin though and it seemed like the dpi was set by default to a value where everything (UI elements, etc.) are just hideously big... You can change the font size, but the UI elements will still stay just as big...
The V10 is basically a beefed up G4. If you loved the G4, you will love the V10.

I traded in my Note 5 for the V10. I have had it about 2 weeks thus far. I can speak freely and say that as far as daily operations with the device, I do like the note 5 much more. The Note 5 is faster, I feel the display looked much better, and I prefer the finger print reader on the front. The non-removable battery and lack of SD card just made me feel like my Note was long no longer a power user's device, just a Samsung iPhone. The V10 as far as operation is more in the Note 4 category, but with a Note 5 camera.

the note 4 is laggy not smooth at all and gets too hot
lg v10 is like this ****?

Perhaps I just ran a great custom rom on my Note 4, but I didn't have any issues with lag or heat. Not having any issues with those on the v10 either. It's not quite as fluid as the Note 5 to me though.

I had the v10 for a bit, it was nice but has nothing on the Note 5. The 6p is nice, my buddy has it so I play with it all the time. I still think the Note 5 is better. My complaint about the 6p is that the UX is no different that smaller phones, just blown up. Google did nothing to take advantage of the larger screen. The Note 5 is a true phablet, the 6p is just a blown up smartphone. Note 5 all the way.

Should I Buy?

I've been considering getting a new phone for a while now as my S8's battery life has fallen off a cliff and the screen also has a minor crack.
My Xperia Z3 is probably my favourite phone I've ever had and I've always been tempted by going back to Sony. I've heard some brilliant things regarding the screen but wondered if anyone could tell me what the camera and battery life are like on this phone? The S8 has a very good camera and I would want something that is at least on a par with that.
I'm toying with the idea of getting this or waiting until April for the P20 Pro's successor. Would really appreciate any user opinions of the XZ3 to help inform my decision.*

I've used the phone for two days now (so not too much time) but battery seems to be great! Had 60% left after my day (with relatively light usage: messaging, an hour or two of youtube a few calls). The camera is not special though. With good lighting the shots are really good, but performance drops fast with lower light (even compared to my previous phone a Nexus 6P). I would check out some camera reviews as I haven't had that much time.
Oh and btw the thing I was most scared about, the fingerprint scanner placement, isn't really a problem now I have it. It's not as cramped as it looks to reach it.

Battery life is great, camera is mediocre. The screen is also great, and the fingerprint reader placement is surprisingly ergonomic. The phone is way too slippery though, and will slide & fall off any surface that isn't perfectly level. The curved screen edges are nice in that they give you a sense that there are no bezels, but in practice when faced head-on, there is a viewing angle effect where the edges are darker than the rest of the screen, which is pretty annoying. Android Pie is great and the skin is almost purely AOSP as we've gotten used to with Sony, although there are the usual suspects with a locked boot loader and no root where certain notifications can't be dismissed and other annoyances like apps that you can't uninstall but only "disable" (I call this "Microsoft syndrome").

The battery life is pretty much at par with the other flagships. Around 6-7 hrs SoT with medium to heavy usage. The camera is good, however there's a very annoying lens flare present. It was mentioned also in one of the reviews on YouTube. Lowlight photos IMO are great. Clean, and definitely does not have the "oil painting" effect.
Screen is super great. I upgraded from the XZP, so it's a huge difference from the IPS display on it.
The phone is indeed slippery, so you might want to throw a case on it.

Just an FYI... I just ordered mine from Clove, headed for me here in the states. The Clove price in USD is about $100 less than I can get here, AND it includes the Sony BT speaker.

I did I went from pixel 2xl, to pixel 3axl, then op7. My pixel 2 was better than the 3a I thought. But I'm loving this op7. So far my favorite and I'm on Verizon

How could you compare the 2 XL with OP 7 ( Pro ) ?
What about the battery life ?
It seem to be not as good as the 2 XL one ?

Totally worth it,speed is faster and screen is larger and better,I love it.you should try it,bro

I upgraded from a 2XL. It was well worth the money. The display is miles ahead, I consistently try 5+ hrs of SOT after owning since a week after launch. Software experience has been A+. Only real gripe I've had with this phone is the size is kinda unwieldy. I've gotten over it though. Don't use camera much, so that is not something I can really comment on. Speakers are also better than my 2xl as far as quality goes IMO. No regrets here.

This is a great hardware and software upgrade! 7+Pro is my best DD for 2019! Cheers

The screen is miles ahead. Honestly, it's night and day. I didn't realise how terrible and "grainy" the pixel's screen was until I got this phone. The 1440p definitely makes a difference to clarity at this screen size, and the contrast, colours, black crush, viewing angle etc. Are just miles better.
The 90Hz is nice. It just makes everything feel a bit smoother. I could still go back to 60Hz quite easily, but in comparison it feels juddery.
The build quality of the OP7 Pro is really nice. The pixel had curved edges, but not really in a way that affected the actual screen space. The curve on the Pro is more dramatic, and that has meant occasional accidental touches for me when lying in bed and using it one handed without a case.
Speaking of one handed, don't expect much of that with this device out of the box. Surprisingly, the overall footprint is very similar to the pixel 2 XL, but the screen is obviously much larger. In particular, the length of the screen is an issue. With my Pixel, I could use the rear sensor to pull down the notification shade, or shimmy my hand a little bit to reach items higher up the screen. That's not an option here, so I've been using reachability cursor instead, which works pretty well, but it's a still a downside to the phone.
In terms of weight and feel in the hand, I actually prefer the OnePlus, though. I like the little bit of extra weight, and it's balanced really nicely in the hand. The curved back makes it really comfortable to hand in portrait, though the weight and size can make it more uncomfortable in landscape.
Onto the camera. One of my main reasons for buying the pixel, but I realised I didn't even take that many. The 7Pro is worse, no two ways about it. But is bad enough to be annoying? Not for me. After the most recent updates, camera consistency is improved, although it's not quite there in all scenarios. The 7Pro oversaturates images more, which I find annoying, but that can always be fixed with Gcam or editing. The difference really isn't enough to be a turn off for the average user, and the wide and zoom lenses are a nice addition for composition, even if they're softer than the main sensor.

You can swipe down anywhere on the screen to open your notification shade... Which is a way better feature by anybody's measure!

I actually disagree...you can do that, but you can only do it from the home screen, which makes it less useful to me

Pixel 4 XL screen has a yellow tint how are yours?

Received my Pixel 4 XL a few days ago and one thing I noticed straight away was how yellow the screen was compared to my Pixel 3 XL.
Only picture I have is uploaded as my daughter has already taken my old phone.

Have you tried disabling Ambient EQ under display settings?

This setting is already off, should have mentioned this above. My display is even more yellow when enabled.

There's a few things it could be, but I feel Google calibrated it this way at the factory as I too noticed my display is warmer but not yellow. Some do say that the yellow hue could also be the adhesive still fully curing. Although I'm not too sure how relevant that is now a days with the newer optically clear adhesives. This usually will alleviate itself through normal usage within a few days to a week. I'm thinking it's more to do with Google's calibration + the panel lottery and you could of gotten a dud. Custom kernel could probably alleviate the issue when you can adjust kcal and play with RGB. But you might want to start a RMA if the issue doesn't go away as I have seen other reports with people bringing up how yellowish their display looks.

Mine is also very warm. Ambient EQ is off and the brightness is high.
It'll be interesting to see if this plays out as "This is how we intended it." or if it's a manufacturing error.

Contacted Google who asked me to check a few options which were already disabled.
Outcome RMA, will check how the new unit looks when delivered.

Same here. It's not a defect, just the way they calibrated it. I actually like it a bit better than the bluish version. That seems to mess with my eyes, whereas this feels very comfortable. Still, it would be nice if they offer us a slider in the future.

I have Ambient EQ on but the short time I had it turned off the colors seemed cool. Closer to a blueish hue.

Mine doesn't have a yellow tint, not even with Ambient EQ on (at least not in the typical environments I use my phone). I really dislike warmer screen tones, so I would have definitely noticed, but mine is leaning more towards the cooler side for sure.

No issues on my white 128 XL. In fact mine looks better than my wife's iPhone 11 pro. her's looks way warmer. I think the display is fantastic on the 4. Best pixel screen yet.

64gb black P4 and I notice a slightly warm almost green tint under 30% brightness. Above 50 it's only slightly warmer than my pixel 3 and at 80+ it's identical

It might have something to do with the refresh rate on the screen. I can notice it shifting between 60Hz and 90Hz. That color shift introduces some yellow from 90 to 60 and removes yellow the opposite way around. You can pick the device to 90Hz in the developer settings, but you're trading off battery life for it.

Yellow here too, off angle it goes white so it's a definite flaw, if it was white straight face on then went yellow off angle this is normal, I'm on my second unit and unfortunately it's worse than my first original, why i hate warm, the people with the same issue as mine will understand, you also lose colour pop when the screen is yellow, simple look at your warm screen look at the colours on text the angle your phone at watch the colours pop better, 100% what people are experiencing is oled manufacturing flaw, I'm still undecided if I'm trying a third but if i do and it's the same or worse again I'm getting a refund until these manufacturers pull their finger out with oled.

Yep, mines super yellow compared to my LG V30, and there's no way to tweak the colors and reduce the red tint.

Its warm but look much better than 3 xl display which has the green tint color.

The 4 XL has a warmer, pink tint. I see more of a blue tint on the 3 XL. I personally prefer cooler tints to warmer or pink ones

Agreed, mine looks awesome to me!

Mine only looks good when the screen brightness is at max. 70% and less, looks terrible. Darker then usual. Yellow/orange. Compared to my Note 10 which is very bright all around. Really want to keep the pixel over the Note but I'm not sure. Have 15 days to decide

Screen feels a bit hollow

I'm wondering if it's just my phone or if they are all like this.
When tapping the screen with my finger/nail it feels a bit hollow or tin-y if that makes sense?
Anyone else?

It's probably because of the mid range CPU, mate.
On a serious note, I haven't noticed anything like this.

You will notice there are no speaker grilles, Its because they are behind the screen, hence why it may feel a bit hollow

Exactly what i noticed first thing I started using this phone. Coming from oneplus 8pro taping on screen on oneplus 8pro feels more sturdier compare to pixel.

Coming from 3xl I have noticed it pretty much straight away. I can live with it but personally that bothers me more than plastic back would.
Overall phone is a mixed feeling experience without real alternative in my eyes. Roll on Pixel 6 ?

Same with my P5. What I particularly noticed is that the screen at the top right feels most "hollow" and makes some kind of rattling noise (if you get what I mean). I suppose this is either because of the inscreen speaker at the top, or because of the camera OIS? Do you get that different noise too when tapping at the top right display area?
