From what I've heard you can't find original amoled screens anymore, only LCDs and probably only second or third grade by this time.

Hello, since the screen (digitizer) has several annoying scratches I want to change it. I've searched on ebay and I've seen many cheap sellers for hongkong or china... Are those items as good as the original ones?
I purchased a new lcd and digitizer for my touch pro from ebay. I know its for a different phone but i cant see any difference between the diamond and touch pro other than the screen shape. (i have also had a diamond) It was £25 for the pair of them
To be totaly honest i cant tell the difference from the original. The touch works perfectly. The lcd screen is also equally as good.
As i tip i would get the digitizer and lcd as one unit, i have replaced several digitzers and lcd screens on alot of phones and it can be tricky seperating the 2. For the few extra quid in my opinion its not worth the hassle, or the risk of damaging one.

eBay Screens are good IMO
I have purchased a couple of Digiter / Screen combos from eBay. So far I have not had a problem with any of them. One that I had ordered was from New York {HP iPaq}, & the other I ordered was from HK {T-Wing/Herald}. I just bought a used Diamond & it has a small scratch on the screen. This is annoying the Hell outta me so, I looked on eBay at screens. I usually try to find a true OEM replacement. I know you're not in the US but maybe this helps anyway.
I bought a digitizer with lcd from ebay. The seller is from china or HK. The digitizer working good but the lcd quality abit lousy. display kinda dark compared to the original lcd. perhaps the pixel not same as the ori.
Anyway, if you think of just getting the digitizer, shud be fine. however you must be assure that you can replace it as it kinda difficult to change. unless you very confident on you soldering skill.
Hello All. I am from India. Recently my mi3W fell and the top of the screen got a crack. After that top half of the touchscreen stopped working but bottom half was working fine. But yesterday,probably some dust particle went inside the crack and the whole touchscreen stopped responding. Now, the display is just fine and it's only the touch which is dead but I don't think there is a separate digitizer available for mi3.
So, I need suggestions whether I should buy original LCD from Xiaomi which would cost me almost half of the phone's price or can i buy one from ebay which would cost me around 2.2K.
Also,in case i end up buying one from ebay, will the color,sharpness and other display properties be of the degraded quality and noticeable to naked eye?
Also, if i buy it from ebay and give it to authorized xiaomi service centre will they agree to change the screen with the new one which I will give them and take only the repairing cost?
Also, whats the best and cheap option on ebay.in ?

Amarjot25 is right. Aliexpress gives a better option than eBay as there are some screens on eBay that are not good. I have broken my screen twice now. The one I am using currently is from eBay. I got it for 2k. It's not bad but looks delicate. There is no visual difference between the first one and this one. It's just how it feels and behaves when it gets heated.
Got my display from a seller named Mi_shop on eBay , got 1 year warranty with it . the first time the display developed some random lines (after a month)the seller replaced it free of cost , get the display only from that seller , he's the only one who gives 1yr warranty . the display is almost exactly the same. Other sellers on eBay seem sketchy.

I recently cracked the screen on this phone. It dropped from my pocket on the parquet. After I took it i saw the one crack across the screen. The display is working but touch works only in small area. So I decided to look for a replacement. But I dont't want to buy the screen with frame, as service suggested me, because it is too pricey in my country. So I want to buy just screen.
And there is a question. Can I find original screen from Sony without frame (i read what it comes only with frame in assembly) or all distributors which sells just display module as original OEM Sony part tells lie?
And if I can't, is there any very good comparable or maybe the same in image quality to original display copy?
Hi. I'm owning small repair service and I can say from experience there is no original LCD without frame. Sony service has only whole sets with frame and speakers but sometimes without flaps. LCDs without frame are never original. Unfortunately there is no tested distributor who always sells good quality replacements. It's all made in China and if You buy one of those it's better to buy from local supplier because You can return it when low quality come out. When You order it from China, You can return only when LCD or touch is not working.

It is a lottery. So even if anyone has a very good quality copy, it doesn't mean that you would get (from the same seller) the same. Besides - the good quality would mean different things to different people.
I would buy either original LCD or a new phone. As much as I know, you can get later various problems with 3rd party screens. Besides visual quality the cable connections and built-in chip must be good also otherwise you can see mild to heavy distortions very soon.
If I had to change LCD in my own phone I'd take used but original part instead of new replacement.

I had bought SGS7 a month later but among 3 phones all was with different screen defects. So i decided to return it and wait for SGS8 and now repair my Z3c (I have to use my HTC One V for daily tasks - a dubious pleasure). I don't want to spend much money on this phone. In the case of display quality for me is the lack of differences with the original or if they are not critical (the image is comparable). I read the forums and some people really got good replacement.

So yesterday it happened and I dropped my Oneplus 3T. It didn't break, but it is scratched up so bad that I want to repair the display glass. I've never done something like this before. So you think a noob like me could try this himself or should I get an expert to do it? And if so, how much should it cost usually? Ideally, is there a way to let it be repaired by Oneplus themselves?
NO! Do not attempt to repair the OP3 glass yourself... Im assuming (correct me if wrong) that you live in the United States. I have done several screen replacements on several different phones. The OP3 replacement screen actually cost more then having OnePlus support do it. I have broke my screen on the OP3 Twice now and it cost me $60 plus tax... The cheapest replacement screen I could find was over $100... The only downside is that you don't have a phone for a week unless you have a back up. The positive aspect of having the OEM do the repairs is #1 and most importantly... You can't mess it up... The repair is a very hard one which requires special tools, time and patience... If this is your first repair.. I wouldn't suggest using this phone as the guinea pig... One mistake and you might as well wipe your a$$ with a hundred dollar bill... and considering the time, labor and cost for self repair... Well to be politically correct it would be boarder line down syndrome-ish (made that one up) to even consider a DIY project on this.

My oneplus3t fall from 3feet and touch and lcd got shatterd . I dont know what happended to gorrila glass 5 protection it completely failed to protect device.
If somebody has bought new lcd touch other than original kindly link it down. As its not worth to order original one for outdated device that costs wooping 9000 -11000 INR.

Gorilla Glass is break resistant, but not indestructible. Nothing is.
Could have been some combination of edge/corner impact (as it is much more likely to crack when a corner is impacted) and hitting a hard surface.

Unfortunately Amoled screens are not cheap, be aware of lcd screens on AliExpress - bad quality and much thicker.
Your 3t have gone on a good stage.
Already so many devices are available in the market at a cheaper price; like Poco F1 which has better hardware, dual camera, better battery and also developer friendly.
My suggestion is to change your phone.
I have my oneplus 3t which has completed 2 years, for which I have flashed plenty of ROMs and Kernels. I really enjoy my oneplus 3t but considering the new technology of full view screen, dual camera etc I am thinking to buy a new device after selling it online or offline.
I bought one from aliexpress. Not sure what the hell that would would be as Seller claims it to be AMOLED but i dont think it might be. I decided to sell it after changing LCD Touch.
I might buy refurbished 5t or poco. I have these two in consideration.
Suggestions?

It's Corning Gorilla Glass 4 actually, I dropped it couple of time but in every time it hits the edge of the sides so it got saved.
