I have always been able to record both sides of a phone call on my samsung phones. Is there a way to enable such a feature on the Nexus 6? I know when I had my samsung phones third-party applications never work right but the future that was built into some of the roms worked great.
Any suggestions or thoughts?

I have another post up with the same question. I use call record and on all my Samsung phones works great but on the Nexus 6 I cannot get the caller side to record.
go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-boldbeast-call-recorder-galaxy-htc-t2923904
get the file: boldbeast_recorder_V72u_nexus6_100.apk
Here are the settings that work for me:
- Enable root options
- Record Mode: 1
- Tune Special: No (unchecked)
- Change Audio Controls: Yes (checked)
- Change Audio Driver: No (unchecked)
- Start Input Stream: Yes (checked)
I then rebooted just because.
If you are having issues the dev is very responsive and active on the forum.
So those setting will record both sides of the conversation through the actual internal audio? This doesn't try to record the audio over the speaker via the microphone?
I had actually tried this app and it only recorded my side of the conversation but I hadn't tried any of these settings.

Yep it will record both sides internally. You do not need to use external speaker through microphone.
I played around with the settings a bit. To get it to work.
Could I possibly get a copy of this file? or an even more updated one for Nexus 6?

Hi,
Is it possible to rotate screen 180 degrees in every app? Because taking a snapchat selfie is really impossible with the camera on the downside of the phone. In the stock camera app it works to turn the screen and yeah take a normal selfie. But snapchat doesn't turn. I want to root maybe but... If there is no need to do this... I'd rather want to stay unrooted.
Thanks guys!
From time, I've used the app Ultimate Rotation Control from the Google Play Store.
It's an awesome app & has yet to fail me,however, some phones' cameras/camera apps crash if forced to rotate outside of what is considered "normal".
Why,IDK,but, I've been through a lot of phones & have seen this behavior several times, it's not unique to the MIX or,other 3rd party camera apps.

Hello all,
Can someone point me on how to disable annoying shutter sound for camera? Tried deleting the shutter.ogg file, but no success. I'm on Dr. Ketan ROM and in ROM control, there is Screenshot sound off, tried that, but no success either.
Note 9 has different CSC partition and I can't activate cscfeatures.
Please.
I have no root to use this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dc7.SilentModeToggle
Works o both Note 8 and 9 fine
Another work around is put the phone on silent, then open the camera app and voila.

Setting-->Sounds and Vibration-->Volume-->"System" scroll left to no sound.
works for me.
try it out.
Right inside the camera app

Depends on the region/country. For most (like my AT&T version and your Verizon), it is in the camera settings at the bottom. But there are some countries (I believe Japan was the 1st) that does not allow the shutter sound to be disabled.
I have dr. Ketan ROM and there is no Shutter Sound in camera app. Is there a way but not with system sound off, I need notifications?
I would like not to try any app because an app installs a service and I do not want to.
Not an option for me, US Cellular

I have downloaded Open Camera which has Shutter sound off, it's a workaround, but it's not original camera that is better.

This is the easiest way.
I don't use system sounds. I prefer my device to be as silent as possible. If I want to hear fake computer noises I can watch a movie.
In pie its there for everyone

I just use the Macrodroid app, I set it up that when I launch the camera it's turns off the system sound and then when I exit the camera it turn the system sound back on.
You can get it in the Play Store, just click above on Macrodroid.
How to turn off shutter sound on camera
On your sound " system " slide to off
You can download Silent Mode Pro app from the play store to silent the camera shutter.

I did exactly same work Autoroid app. Works fine until I switch to Gallery app from the camera then it does not detect exiting camera to re-enable system sound

Routines (part of GoodLock) or Tasker does the job for me. Switching mute<->sounds if camera is running. Routines has some bug and sometimes lowers ringtone volume to 1 (min. volume) so there's a risk of not hearing phone calls. I stopped using Routines and went back to Tasker where I already have several other tasks.
Routines are still good for maintaining some Samsung specific tasks (playing with blue light filter, power saver, and some automatizations).
Anyone elses Pixel Bud app just goes straight to Bluetooth setting instead of the app?
Hi,
I have a hiss/white noise in all my audio recordings with the Pixel 5. Makes no difference if its a video with the default camera app, snapchat etc. The same when using the Recorder app.
Google assistant "voice match" and "now playing" are off.
Pixel 5 audio example: http://clyp.it/2lddom40
Pixel 2XL audio example (same room, same time): http://clyp.it/sz3zgiqm
What could be the problem?
Thanks
Hi,
I am now on my fourth device and I am still having the same problem.
Here is quick Video.
Would you say that there is something wrong, or am I too sensitive? If google accepted an exchange after I send them videos, there must be a problem right? And how is it possible I got 4 devices with the same issue, but cannot not find anyone with this issue?
The issue occurs on video, audio recordings and on calls.
Thanks
Is this issue fixed? Because my P5 does the same. My girlfriend uses my old P2, this problem is even worse on that device.
