I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 from Ebay. N920F Unlocked. I went to flash TWRP in download mode it's a 920S! Is this modem compatible with TMO US? I've never had a problem receiving data on other models of Galaxy's with even custom ROMs. I will not proceed with ANY tricks until I get a reply. Thanks!
Motherboard is N920S and It only accepts N920S Modem only However may be they flashed N920F System explicitly

I bought a used note 3, when I look up the imei it come back a n9005, the device came with n900tuvufob6 on it, and under the battery the label states it's a n900a. I'm running darklord n5 on it now but would like to flash to a different rom and had one heck of a time with it. Would like to know what I really got for future flashing to be safe without running into bootloops etc. Thanks
Hello,
If your device has N900A behind the battery then the device SHOULD be a N900A, BUT, it could be that it was flashed with another model than N900A, it could be N900A with the other model IMEI(device may have been cloned to repair bad IMEI), could be N900A rear casing with the other model hardware in it. If it ends up being N900A with something altered then if you want to put it back to the original N900A just flash the N900A stock firmware via Odin and it will make it the true N900A again but that isn't necessary and won't cause you any issues if you don't change it back as long as it is working fine with what it has right now.
These are just possibilities to investigate. To assist you further with narrowing down what you actually have, your thread will be moved to your device Q&A forum linked below.

The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.
What model # is shown in download mode?
N900t
In download mode it says it's a n900t, I was wondering if you could recommend a good rom that is fast, 4g lte, on lollipop, with everything working, all and a kernel for my device that can be over clocked... could you also give me the links as well
Hey guys! I've got the international Note 5 (Telstra, Australia)
Just checking if anyone has the modem files for this phone as I've flashed heaps of roms but now my service has decreased..
Thanks!
I'd suggest you install "gsm signal monitor", note the signal. Flash the Australian note 5 stock firmware from sammobile, test it again. I have a feeling it won't be any different, the indicator might have just changed or something to do with your telco provider.
Hi All,
So I've bought a device from Dubai as I travel there often but I live in the UK , everything works fine, but when I want to run Samsung Pay it keeps installing the UAE version so can't add my cards from UK.
I remember when I had the S4 and S7 Edge I could install a different firmware without affecting Knox. But with this device and I can't find information.
Also as this is a Duos I can't find info on firmware for it, can I flash a single sim firmware on the Duos version without any issue?
Thanks

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10, model SM-G973U. Last week it did an update and something went wrong and it got stuck in download mode. I couldn't turn it off or anything. I finally had to flash a SM-G971U1 firmware to get the phone back working again. Does anyone know where I can find the latest factory AT&T firmware for the SM-G973U? The US version.

I would recommend using Frija instead, as it's probably faster, but the above is an alternative as well.

That's the one I used, but the AT&T logo doesn't show anymore and some of the AT&T features don't work like wifi calling. I thought the 973U was the at&t and the 973U1 was the samsung version.
You may have to reset the SIM somehow. Often, when the carrier sees the same SIM, they don't check the phone for what it can do, so it assume Wifi calling and such doesn't work. ATT is notorious for being stupid about such things (I've read far too much of this type of stuff on other phones as well).
You may just need to call ATT and tell them it's not working... they'll check the IMEI, see the phone is correct, and then reset the settings. That's another possibility.
Also, you may need to flash the firmware with a full reset or something, so that the CSC can re-recognize, but that means you'll lose any data on the phone... so just be aware of that possibility. Bottom line, ATT should help you with getting things working again... it's their problem, after all (assuming it's a valid ATT IMEI phone).
