yesterday I installed DarkyRom and i am facing strange problem now. screen shot attached to show that i am unable to read labels in gmail app, similarly searchbox on dolphine. I think Text color as well as Background color is white and I don't know how this happened. Is this my phone only or problem with ROM?

Try searching in Darky's OP or thread about inverted fonts color zip.

Can you just come in here so that we may help you?By the way do you mean the darky OTA app?and there is a fix for the color issue there in the website.

not Darky OTA, on almost all apps, like phone, taptalk menus are coming at bottom half, not at the top as it used to be. i will try to attach a pic

Yeah it would help to solve the problem.But asking you question at the respective site might give a solution soon because the developers know what to do to solve your problem.Here is the thread where the question to be asked

2. battery (just a few)

Indeed lag in chrome. And also that some apps or games may not work due to the 2k screen resolution ( not a lot)

If you are rooted, look at my stock rom, almost all lags are gone:

1. Lag in apps like chrome (only some).
2. Aura screen defect ( when screens have greenish color on black image.)
3. Bump in on back cover(seems to be fixed on new models)
4. Overheating near camera( when playing large apps).
5. SD read and write problems(kitkat issues. Can be fixed by rooting)
6. Touchwiz launcher lag. ( can be fixed by debloating and installing nova launcher)
7. Latest twrp recovery bootloop. ( crashes and bootloops when restoring rom . Version 8.3.1.0 or some sort.

Some batches of tablets had messed up amoled screens. If it doesn't show complete black on a black image then that's how you know. Only happens to a few numbers of amoled tablets/phones.

This was fixed in newer firmware.
The only issue is typical Samsung running too much software all the time and just needs to be tweaked accordingly.

I bought two and they both have the non uniformity problem. Either I'm unlucky or it's more than a few.
the lag in chrome is due to java script. Disable it, lag is gone.

Unfortunaately this update doesnt seem to have been released in the UK yet.
I check for updates every single day. But nothing.
Even the samMobile website does not show a UK version of the latest firmware.
and how you can check fastly about the non uniformity problem with black??
I mean, if you go to a shop, how you can check it easyly before buying? just take a pic in black and watch it?
or there is any other way to check it maybe with the serial number or something? so you can buy on the internet

Taking a picture in full black can do it and see if there are any other colors that is not black. I got mine from Walmart online and no problems so far. If you buy it in store from bestbuy, you should open the box and check first.

Yeah that depends on the launcher you use. I use go launcher and do not have this issue when putting it in portrait. Only touchwiz launcher and a few more do?

Open anything is black or dark grey and ask the shop that have store room, close all light and check inside.
^^^ it'll not show on black because all the pixels just turn off. You need a dark gray screen.
I don't see how you can check it in the store. Looking at the demo unit will tell you nothing definitively. Also, I don't think it's reasonable to ask a department store to turn off the lights for you You just have to find a store with decent return policy.

which firmware my 10.5lte still crashes when i pull down the notification panel?
I have none of those problems, like lag in Chrome (my Chrome is the snappiest of browsers, so smooth) or battery (battery is just damn amazing, 12h SoT watching videos).
But, my bluetooth stopped working randomly. Like, it won't ever turn on again, not even in safe mode. The icon becomes dark green for a couple seconds, then it gets grayed again.
I saw someone else with the same tablet having the same issue, but that's about it, no one else.
My one big gripe, and this really is more about Android than the S 10.5, is that there isn't ONE definitive web browser that does it ALL. It also seems that when I DO find a decent browser it's not very long before someone changes their forum software or the web page coding and then it just won't work as well or at all. I have actually given up trying to post on some forums with any Android web browser. They all now seem to have one problem or another with forum editors used for posting. Maybe, somehow Lollipop will fix this. Kinda doubt it though.

It is visible only on certain surfaces and colors, at the center of camera.

After a few tries, I can only get it to show if I use the flash. Maybe it's just a flash issue?

Makes no sense that it's connected to ai, no. How could it? You can safely ignore the muppets on that other forum ("maybe you have a mark on your jeans" lol!)
It happens with me with Open Camera so it's not even related to the stock camera app. I used to have a sony z3 and that camera added a pink blob in the middle. I just don't think phone manufacturers test their stuff properly.

I only see it when I use the flash, on items close to the lens, so I'm wondering if it's taking the image slightly sooner than it should do?
It seems like and it's the actual flash LED glow that's causing the spot?
If it took a millisecond longer to take the pic, the LED glow wouldn't get picked up by the image sensor?
Just a theory.

No, because for me it happens (I can see the shape) when i've not yet taken the shot so there's no flash, focus light etc. And the shape - it's a rotated square.
It is odd, because I can't get it to occur on every photo. It does seem easiest on trousers! Perhaps it's supposed to be a watermark that's much less visible.
If you only pretend to use your phone camera and instead use a proper camera, like huawei do (https://petapixel.com/2018/08/20/huawei-caught-faking-smartphone-photos-with-a-dslr-again/) then you won't have this problem.
I'm getting black screen on Dream League on my Xiaomi Mi 9, i can't open the app at all, i listen the audio, but nothing appears on the screen.
And on Frui Ninja Free black screen too.
Anyone has got similar problems?

Unfortunately no.
It's a software problem.
I hope they fix those bugs with future updates.
i got same problem today when first install the game. next time will be black screen and sound and next time opened. i don't know why. it can be about game turbo im not sure...

Downloaded this and was able to debug this on my device via looking at logcat. Went from a black screen to having the startup page. Didn't test ingame

Looks like the app uses SSL certificate pinning. If you use an adblocking solution that intercepts HTTPS traffic like Adguard - you'll have to disable it for this app unfortunately. If you aren't doing something like that, try a different network

Anything else I can do? Maybe using developer options.. Because I can't understand why this mobile its intercepting HTTPS traffic.

Same problem here for skyfore reloaded but for skyforce 2014 there is no problem. It is very weird.
Try changing the contrast and colors display settings! I had the black issue with HDR YouTube when being in standard contrast, so give it a try!

I got this problem too. Playing on a Mi9 and solved by turning off the Game Speed booster in "General Settings".
Same goes to me, fixed it by turning off game booster. But, the problem appears when I closed the game while I'm in the middle of a match. Please help me to find a fix for this
Well I got a few problems also.. mine it doesn't play NFS no limit, relic run, on call of duty mobile when I play battleroyalle the game shuts down randomly, Fortnite does play well 60 FPS but when the storm shrinks it freezes for a couple of seconds but only then... Actually I can't really play anything...
I get black screens in call of duty mobile, only in the battle royale mode. Didn't get it before updating to Android 10. Probably going to move to a custom ROM, the update has too many bugs.

I got the phone just over a week ago and the notifications are really bugging me.
1. The color palette for media notifications is sometimes just really wacky. It is light text on a white background or dark text on a dark background, depending upon the system theme.

Is the first issue just for me or are you facing it too on your phone? You could probably reproduce it with background play on Youtube, though you might have to go through a few videos to see it.

I assume you are talking about the social media app notifications. I used to get the Facebook white background notification on the previous system update which I disliked a lot. But currently on the latest CN rom update it seems that issue has been resolved and other apps notifications are within expectations with dark background on the dark theme.

No, I do not use any social media apart from Whatsapp on my phone. My issue is with app that have media playback buttons in the notification bar, such as Youtube (Background play), music, etc. I am running the stock update (1st October Security Patch) and this is the issue I'm facing: https://imgur.com/a/8dmP7xR
It seems to be cycling randomly through colors without checking if that text color is compatible with the background, as I saw with these videos: https://imgur.com/a/wCQPgTS. What I don't know if this is being done at the system level or by a theme (though I'm not using any at the moment) or even just the app.

I see, in regards of music I use Google Play Music which I have no issues with. In regards of YouTube I stopped using it long time ago I am using YouTube Vanced instead, YouTube sucks in comparison. Also Vanced doesn't have the issue you have mentioned.
I have the same problem as yours, i have that issue for Soundcloud, Spotify, Facebook... and more strange when i use my finger to pull up slowly, then they return to normal until i stop moving the finger. That issue has not occurred only in notification in main home page, but also appeared during sleep and wake up by new notification. I think it's related to new update in 1610. :'( Consider to back to 1608 but Asus said impossible to downgrade. Is that true?

Ah, after getting that issue, i've changed the current theme to another theme, the problem has gone. But it will appear very soon. Dont know why.

The dark text just stays on, even though the color of the background changes.
About the update, yes I too think it was brought about by the latest update. This is an easily noticeable issue and I would have remembered it if I saw it during my initial days of using the phone. I only recall facing this problem after I did an update, which was about a week after I started using the phone.

I just noticed what you mean on YouTube Vanced. Anyway I don't think it's a big issue and hopefully it would be resolved in a future update. But my issue is with not seeing Google play Music app notification on the lock screen. There are some apps that behave that way too even though the show notification for those apps are on.
