The 2150mah is a wonderful wonderful battery. I am glad to own it, and for really heavy users, or those will be out and about all day, it is definitely a great investment ... so long as you are ok not having a case.
But I started to think about it and realized, having 68% left at the end of the day is wonderful, but do I *need* 68% at the end of the day just so that I can risk damage to the phone? I don't think so.
With the low-effort battery charging trick (charge with power-on, when green, select power off, and wait for green again; NO NEED TO UNPLUG), the 1750mah provides a full day of usage, but will fit in a case.
Anyway, while YMMV, I think the bragging rights on battery power do not outweigh the risks of damage.
My 2 cents.

Well ... I did a proper charge this morning, and played with Nav, maps, a few games of freecell, emailing, 1 phone call, and am still at 74% with my 1750. I think the 1750 with proper charging is the sweet spot.
Will the Innocase fit over the phone with a 2150 if you have the battery cover off?
For what it's worth, I bought the 2150 and, following the advice I received from another xda thread, just cut the back panel out of a soft case. Though much of the new expanded battery back is exposed, the camera lense is actually much more protected than before. And, of course, the screen is now protected from dropping. As a bonus, the phone looks nicer and the obnoxious bulge is considerably less noticeable.

I did the exact same thing. If you take your time and pay attention to detail the end result is very nice.
I did the hard case and cut it. 17 hours of use and still has half of the charge.

Thank you for your 2 cents, it has earned interest.
I was considering which battery to get since the stock 1300 seems to last ALLLLLMOST the whole day for me with heavy usage and having it plugged into USB at intervals when I am at my desk. I need something to last all day or nearly so without plugging in at all. I prefer to stick with something that fits in the stock case so I'll go for the 1750.

I guess that I am a moron. I don't get what the low-effort battery charging trick does. What do you mean by no need to unplug? I understand the steps, but don't you need to unplug it when you go somewhere?
I just bought the 2150 the other day and I did everything I could think of yesterday to completely kill it. I had it off the charger all day at work (I usually keep it plugged it at work), I played slacker for about 4 hours a few of which were in my car and didnt use my car charger (I always have my phone plugged in when driving), played about an hour of "traffic jam", sent numerous texts, talked over bluetooth, had GPS on all day, and lastly used SportyPal for an hour when I put in my bike miles. After all that and 15 hours later I was finally in the yellow. With that said I do love the extra juice I get from the battery but I dont think I need it over the 1750. I am going to order the 1750 and see how that holds up. If I like it I will return my 2150.

Many people complain about the short battery life of the HD2. Many complain about the bulkyness and uglyness of the extended batteries on offer. Many dream that a larger than stock capacity battery of the same size as stock will become a reality.
I am interested to know what is important for HD2 users, you cant have slimness with larger battery capacity, this is a law of physics. So tell me, if a solution came about that would significantly increase the battery capacity (beyond 2400mah), look good (not a lump on the back of the phone), provide a flat surface on the back of the phone, allow you to use your spare stock size batteries without the need to swap them all the time, with the only real compromise of doubling the thickness of the phone, would you buy it for a reasonable price (less that $50)?
I guess my basic question is, whats more important, slimness or capacity (lots of capacity I mean too, 3000mah+)?
I must say that I have never complained about the battery life when using Windows Mobile, even with heavy use I could get 2 days of life from it.
BUT since I'm now on a daily basis with Android, I must say that this is a problem, I can barely get to a full day with moderate to heavy use.

I like the size and feel of my HD2 (TMOUS one) and it happens that I have two extra batteries (bought because of android) even never having to use them yet I do change them and charge outside of the phone for easiness of not having to be near a wallplug everytime.
I just put those in the back of my phone to have an ideia of the size it would be with such an adapter. I would be inpratical to have this, so deep and big. It takes the easy and sleek feel of the HD2, to a bulky Kaiser (or more) stile.
Just buy a new battery, and if needed change it ONCE a day, ONE reboot in some sporadical day is better than a ALWAYS BIG phone wich is used to the full length of battery life rarely. .

Interesting, considering the amount of complaining about the battery life, slimness is still more important. I can see why these fake 1600mah batteries are selling like hot cakes.

Extended batteries make the beautiful Hd2 look like crap.
To give an example: If you could bring a bulky backpack of energy drinks with you all throughout the day to give you more energy BUT you had to wear that bulky backpack 24-7 (even at the office at work, while your going to the bathroom, EVERYWHERE) would you?
I sure wouldn't. I don't care how much more energy I would have throughout the day...
The only people who need extended batteries are people running Android since it sucks down the battery like crazy.

i have a gum pro 4400mAh battery extender. it can charge the hd2 2.5x from flat and since it can deliver 1A, you can use the hd2 while it's being charged. its small size and the fact you don't need to power the phone down to top it up make it a more practical solution for me than any extended battery.
I like the slimness of the HD2 and I intend to keep it that way.
the slimness is just perfect in pocket...the hd2 is huge, but thankfully slim. if it would be both, i couldnt take it with me
and for me the extented one looks horrible..and i'm just a WM-User, so i have no batterydrainproblem

Does anyone know if it is possible to power the HD2 from the micro USB supply while I swap batteries. I don't want to have to do a soft reset which loses what you are doing. But I'm worried that without the battery to absorb the power there is a risk of damaging the circuits?
I don't want to just try it because I already blew my main board by powering the USB through a cheep adapter and a Nokia charger that supplied too much power and had I to get it repaired/replaced. I'm hoping someone already knows. :???:

Get SetCPU and Autokiller. Make profiles with setcpu, and set autokill on agressive mode. Your phone should last more than a day with little use.
I was using my original battery for normal everyday use
and the extended 2400 ah with kickstand for times when I knew I would have heavy or extended use. Next thing I knew I was just leaving the extended in all the time. It goes days on a charge and is not noticeably bulkier in my pocket and I am slim and wear jeans. Actually feels easier to hang on to. Fits the hand better and all that juice is there whenever I might need it.

I bought an extra battery off of ebay for $5.
The Hd2's battery is small enough to keep it in my wallet.
Why would anyone not keep a spare battery in their wallet/pocket and instead use a bulky battery case?

I know, one can look crazy taking out HD2 somewhere out there in woods, but i do like wild hiking, and i do use GPS occasionally for getting directions. And My HD2 with Garmin well serves for that. For the battery - in my case i care about capacity, as my backpack and front pockets have enough space for "bulky" extension.
For "going green" - I have a wind charger (a device which charges itself when you bike using the power of wind, and can be used as a charger for mobiles), but it can charge the phone only up to 60%. So the spare battery for 3-4 days walk is a must have for my case.
My point is - It really depends on your needs. I am pretty sure extended thickness is somewhat a burden in everyday life.

Correction: The wind charger sucks! Do not buy it. It has major flaws which render the device not worth the price.

The case battery is horrible. No way this gives 80% more and it heats the phone up a lot. was told by mophie that I should use case when phone is not in use. I dislike the fact that it is slippery. they need to step up the game.

I'm not sure about your math. The mophie has a 3450 mAh battery, so that would be a full 3450 MORE than the internal battery. Since it is an external battery and all.
Also, I have had zero issues with my Mophie. No heating issues or signal issues. FWIW.

D'oh, I was thinking it replaced the stock battery. That makes a lot more sense now.
Why would you waste your money on this piece of crap? Maybe for the s6 or iPhone. But we have removeable batteries that's the whole point. You could've easily got 2 maybe even 3 batteries for the price of that case.

Why would you post such a crappy post without actually trying the product? First off, extra batteries are nice and all but you actually have to turn the phone off to replace the battery, that's a waste of time. Secondly, how would you know it causes additional heat? Mine doesn't and I use it everyday. And guess what? I can charge the phone and the battery pack with one cable, all at the same time.
To each his own, so maybe you should bite your tounge and not post such blatantly blasphemous posts and let others form their own opinions.
My second case going back for a refund. rather have a good quality case and battery in pocket then a slippery phone that one day would end up breaking.

To my surprise, I have not had heat issues with the g4 with or without the Mophie case, even when doing more than on my G2, which did have overheating issues. I agree that the Mophie should have more texture for a better grip on this case.
Proper comparison cost wise is an extra battery and a case since Mophie supplies both. I did find the case very easy to remove, although I would always keep it on. I do like the sound being redirected to the front.
I measured signal because many wireless charger backs have been shown to dramatically affect performance. In the FCC documents, most manufacturers are no longer releasing their antenna diagrams. If you have signal issues with the Mophie juice pack case, hold it vertical.
I have found that a 2.4 car charger is not enough for the LG G4 (I swapped charges and USB cable as well), nor can the Mophie case make up that power difference. However this excessive power situation was resolved by reducing the number of active apps by one and rebooting to kill a runaway Google service.
I did consider extended batteries, but then you must go caseless to the best of my knowledge.
With the replacement batteries you must also remember to carry them and you risk breaking the back cover with repeated use.
It really depends on how often you need extra battery power as to whether the Mophie case is worth it, plus the caveats and benefits listed above by all.

Agreed with other guy.
Battery case is not optimal. Basically this battery is charging the OEM internal battery.... constantly.... which will end up killing your OEM battery.
The best solution would be to remove the OEM battery and replace it with a 6000mAh battery/custom backplate that snaps on.
Hence why these are causing the phones to heat up.

Except you're wrong. This case has a switch which the user controls. The switch dictates whether the case is charging the phone or not. So when you don't need it, its not charging, and thus not heating up the phone.
Again, if you actually have used the case before you would know this.
I just picked up this case yesterday and I really like it. Although the material is a tad slippery, the finish is a bit softer than normal plastic covers so it does feel pretty nice in my hand. Super bulky but I did come from a Nexus 6 so I don't mind and the reroute on the speakers to the front is pretty cool too as that was something I missed from my Nexus.

Really? Sliding a switch is more of a hassle than powering off your phone, replacing the battery and waiting for it to boot back up? Your definition of hassle is WAY different than mine.
I only have to do this once a day, when my battery gets down to around 30%, and it charges it up all the way and has about 40% left on the external battery itself.
Again I say, how do you know it is a hassle if you haven't actually tried it?
This juice pack case is for travel use mostly. Hiking or cruising low signal is the one that drain the battery the most.
People who complain this is an impractical item without owning don't really understand who needs it. Sure you can swap batteries since this device has removable back to replace batteries. But what if you are on important phone call? Or got lost somewhere where you can't really stop the vehicle but battery is going low and don't have the time to stop/shutdown/replace battery/ turn on/ open apps? What if you are in time constrain situation (emergencies) that you must keep your phone alive? This juice pack can offer that quick and simple just by switching on.
Sure external battery does it exactly the same with far less price, but the convenience make up for the price. I cant really justify with the $99 but a case that with built in battery? Some might think it's a good price.

How do you know a broken leg gives you a hard time walking, if you never had it broken? The answer - common sense. In other words, your arguments aren't really that.
This case is useless for everyday use, compared to an extra battery. Instead of using a slick phone with a nice size/screen size ratio, it turns it into an awkward brick. Ok I understand using it occasionally while traveling, like an external battery if you don't wanna take your back off...

Just picked up one of these from the AT&T store because they had cleared them out for $10.
Anyway, it seems good so far, and the textured rubber/plastic material seems like a good grip.
Also this battery pack is great for me, because I play this game called Ingress and when you are with groups you quickly walk from one GPS location to the next, and you are constantly needing to take actions on the phone, so you don't have any opportunity to actually shut down your phone for a battery swap. I think external battery augmentation, like this mophie provides, is perfect for playing Ingress on walk-about missions with groups.
And as Spongers so valiantly tried to point out above, yes there is a nice easy to use switch that lets you keep the battery pack off while you use the phone's internal battery, and then easily just flick the switch to turn on the mophie to recharge your phone. Mophie even helpfully points out in the instructions that this technique optimizes overall battery life between the mophie and the phone, because you spend only half the time recharging (total time split between draining only the phone's battery with mophie off, then draining the mophie after turning it on after phone's battery is low), instead of the entire time (where you would keep the mophie turned on all the time, generate more recharging phone heat/waste during the entire drains of both batteries).
Anyway, yeah I like it. Check if your local AT&T stores have any in stock, because it's a steal at $10. My store only had one left, or I would have bought all of them.
I have had the ZeroLemon 8500mAh battery and case for a week now.
The day I received it, I charged it to 100% and left it on the charger for an additional 3 hours as the instructions say.
I have a moto 360 connected to this phone all the time, and used a set of Plantronics Backbeat GO 2 bluetooth earbuds about 4 hours per day.
The very first charge I went 4 days without charging and ended up with 9.5 hours screen on time.
I left the brightness on 100% and had 2 email accounts on push as well as the usual Facebook, weather and other apps syncing.
I use my phone for both work and personal use so it had some heavy use.
I have been going 2 days now on the second charge and it sits at 78%.
As for the size of the case on the phone. It honestly is much smaller than I was expecting.
You can look at the pictures I have attached and see it is no bigger than an OtterBox Defender, it is just more square and not rounded.
The case does look like it would protect from small drops (desk height) and scuffs.
The front does sit a bit above the glass to keep the glass from ever touching anything when you set it down.
All of the openings and ports line up correctly and are big enough for normal use with no issues.
The speaker port is on the bottom of the phone instead of the back making for less muffled sounds when placed on a table.
The rear buttons are well placed and easy to use.
The case itself adds texture and does not feel near as slippery as the original backs.
Overall I would recommend this case to anyone who has to charge their phone throughout the day or who can benefit from multiple days between charges.
I can honestly say that the only (and this is minor) problem I found was the ports on the bottom of the phone allow dust ingress to the battery compartment.
Other than that, this is the perfect extended battery/case for your LG G4.

I just ordered (had to) a Quick Charge 2.0 charger hoping I can reduce the total time to at least half that time.
I don't mind leaving it on an entire night every 4 days, but it kinds of worry me that if I ever get this it will take a huge time charing it.

It took mine about 3 hours to reach 100% and then the directions state to let it charge for an additional 3 hours after it hits 100% to be fully charged.
So about 6 hours. I do as you described, every 3 or 4 days, depending on usage, I will fully charge the battery.
No it does not seem to support quick charge.

My job can be very dirty and hard sometimes so I need a tough case . The other extended battery cases seeing very crappy protective wise. The zerolemon case seems very good in that respect. The only thing holding me back is the thickness. Would you say it is twice the thickness of the g4? Elaborate on the thickness please.

My review- 4 out of 5
Rather than spam the accessories board with my own review I thought I would post mine here.
Incredible battery life (comparison to stock battery screenshots included). Minimal to moderate increase in thickness considering the battery rating (8500 mAh). It's actually not much bigger/thicker than an otterbox case (picture included). I honestly can't say enough about how great the battery life of my LG G4 is with this. Seriously I spent last Sunday trying my best to drain it in a day and couldn't, and the battery life has only gotten better over the first 4 full charge cycles (per zerolemon it takes 6 cycles to achieve max performance). Seriously after one day I wouldn't have recommended it (size and bulk with moderate battery gain), after two days it began to grow on me (as battery life improved), and now I will use this battery all the time (why stop gaming to swap batteries?). When I did nothing but play DS emulator games all day (almost 12 hrs) and still had 30+ percent left when the stock battery only managed just a bit over 4 hrs and was at 15% made me a believer in this battery (battery saver just kicked on but by the time I took a screenshot the battery showed 1% more - common when doing something that drains a battery quickly over a long period of time).
Recharge times aren't that bad- it's always at 100% when I wake up and sometimes that's been only after 6 hours. I haven't actually kept track of the recharge time but it's surely not 12 hours or anything ridiculous. I would bet it's in the 3-5 hour range.
So if it's so great, why only 4/5?
Well, for starters, I am constantly pressing the wrong button on the back of my phone. I don't think it would have been too difficult to add a little bump or something for finger orientation (a small speck of plastic on the power button would have been great). I'm pressing Vol + or Vol - when I want to press the power button, or pressing the power button when wanting something else - which I have resorted to actually turning the phone over and looking at the buttons first. I also don't think the case was designed for anything but to hold the battery to the back of the phone. Don't expect it to save your G4 if you drop it on concrete. The sides flex out a bit quite easily, so I would imagine that your phone will pop out of the case if dropped (likely removing the zerolemon battery in the process). So the battery is great, but the case could be better/more rigid/more refined (thus 4/5 for the case quality and lack of attention to detail in its design).
Size is substantial as I stated, and even though it was less than I expected, I was sad that my phone doesn't comfortably fit in my Moga Pro Power anymore. It's doable, but angled funny. Not a deal breaker.
One other thing to note is you will be without NFC using this battery. The NFC sticker is inside the factory back cover, so anyone who uses android pay/wallet will no longer be able to do so. I personally don't use NFC at all, so I won't miss anything.

Mine turns off at 1% stays on 3 alot

Mine doesn't have nfc.
I do not think mine has NFC either.
I will check when I get home, but there are no contacts on the battery to match up with the contacts on the phone for NFC.
I checked, and it defiantly does not have NFC on the battery I received.
That does not mean that they did not change it between when mine was made and what is currently for sale.
I doubt it though as they sent me this one to review. It is more probable that the listing is in error.

Remember that does not mean it adds 178g.
You remove the original back and battery and replace them with the extended battery and case.
Rough guess the phone with the extended battery and case is a little over double the original weight.

Many old school XDA members already know this case well, but for new people to the Note series (i.e. Apple converts, etc..) , I thought to write a li'l bit about the Zerolemon 10K case.
I have used Zerolemon's battery cases for years. I am a Galaxy Note series user.
The Note is a powerful device and oftentimes I am out in the wild with no access to shore power.
That's where this case comes in.
I only get the 10K cases and, despite the bulk, I can continue to use my Note 20 in max performance mode out on locations with no worries about losing power. I was able to squeeze about 2 full charges and had some residual charge left to get me back to about 43%. This is with discharging the battery down to less than 10% (usually I would charge at 9%).
The older cases did not allow DEX mode, but with the Note 20 Ultra 5G, you can use DEX wirelessly.
I was able to use wired headphones (AKG N90Q) and still able to wireless charge.
Build quality on the case is what you expect from Zerolemon: Top rate. The rubber is grippy and protects the rear cameras. The case also provides some safety for the front screen.
I received the case with one led lit. All leds were lit in about ~2.5-3 hours. the power button on the Note 10+ last year was really sensitive in that you could turn it on inadvertently. With this years model for the 20 Ultra, the buttons has been more like it was on the Note 9.. it was not as easy to press.
Mounting the phone in the case is straightforward, and I have it down to a science.
Bonus - the Note 10+ belt clip case works with this years case! I have attached a photo showing the belt case from the Note 10+ with the 20 Ultra in it. The only way to get this to work is to have the phones screen faced into the case, so if you still have the belt clip, you can use it that way or have it as a stop gap until Zerolemon comes out with the proper one.
Caveats is the case does not allow super fast charging. This is known from the description so it is not a shock. The other caveat is bulk - if this is an issue for some, the 5K case is a good alternative.
Didn't test out Samsung Pay. This is not something I use anyway even without the case as I prefer to use my Samsung Watch3 LTE to make MST purchases. I will say, on my last Note 10+ 10K battery case, I DID use Samsung Pay and it DID work, so I is possible it will work on the 20 Ultra.
In closing, I've used these cases for years on a few Note series devices. This is my first must have accessory when I get the Note.
Now, only if they can make one for the Z Fold2 5G....
A number of things I don't like about this type of case.
Lithium fires are no trivial thing, and now you have doubled the amount. If one battery has cataclysmic failure it will take the other one out as well.
It makes it harder for the phone to dissipate heat.
It adds a lot of weight and especially with a face plant landing increases the odds of severe damage.
Signal issues.
Adds a lot of bulk to already large phone.
For these reasons I think it's better to take advantage of the large native battery and make use of its fast charging capability than to hang another battery on it.

It looks very industrial. Kinda purpose built. I mean why not get a fast charge battery pack? This looks ghastly. Just going against everything note 20 ultra tried to achieve with its design language. I agree Samsung could have gone for 5000mah battery but I don't think this case is the solution to that problem.
the battery case is NOT for everyone. Ive been using these cases for years and never had any issues with them.
im not concerned about lithium fires. this product has been reliable in my several years use of them on different note phones over that time.

Back in 2010, I used to rock an iPhone 3g. I had used incase power slider and a mophie juice pack with it. At that time, the iphone screen was 3.5" and with the battery case it was not uncomfortable to hold the phone and those cases followed the same design philosophy of the phone itself. Well I wouldn't dare to say they looked as good but they didn't take away much. BUT now our phones have become massive it's really cumbersome to use a battery case let alone a 10,000mah. I still wouldn't have minded the 5000mah but man I am a sucker for design. There is absolutely no sense of design here with zerolomon cases. It takes away from the aesthetics of the phone.
yall are preaching to the choir. the case will not win any awards in design.
the case is for functional reasons. i dont expect anyone to use this case on a daily basis, but for those who will be away from shore power for whatever reason, this case delivers.
the case is not going to allow fast charging for heat related reasons. this is totally understandable given the massive amount of battery in the case and phone. cant have it all.
That's a great case for traveling. Not that I remember what that was like. Using maps, taking pictures, all those are things that use up my battery life in a half a day. This would have been great traveling through in Asia. I used the Samsung brick though which was ok, but quirky.
I got a battery charging case for my Note 9, I think it was one of those deals where you buy it, review it, and they pay you back. I used it maybe twice. Since the case is so huge I always regretted putting it on to recharge my phone and leaving my regular case at home or in the car.
That's a big boy right there.

I've been using Zerolemon battery cases for many years, starting with Samsungs original Note, always hacking them to increase functionality.
Currently on Note 20 Ultra I made two physical hacks to the Zerolemon case.
In the photos enclosed you can see what I'm describing. It's not pretty, but works and adds to the cases utility as far as I'm concerned.
First — the USB—C charging port is only passthrough for USB—C cables, doesn't work for Dex with HDMI, so I needed physical access to the phone's USB port, so it wouldn't have to be removed from the case. So I cut the case around the charging port — as it's logically connected by film cable. This way I can plug it in and have the battery charge the phone. But it can also quickly be unplugged and an HDMI hub plugged in.
Second, there is significant empty space next to the phone's camera on the back, which just sits in the battery casing empty. It's actually nice the battery case stays thick there too. I cut the plastic case there and made an incision in the foam plastic battery case on the outside.
This way I have the full area next to the camera as a container — I put USB flashdrives there, whatever I want to have with me all the time and don't have to carry it outside. This container in the battery becomes a nice carrying pouch for small items.
I recommended to make these amends - in a nicer industrially designed way - to Zerolemon for their future note battery case versions, alas they didn't respond... :O)
Why not just buy a portable power bank? This case looks like it turns your phone into a brick! Def a hard pass for me.
