Any overclocking kernels? - Samsung Galaxy A71 Questions & Answers

Are there any overclocking capable kernels for the A71? Preferably that also support GPU overclocking and a way to set maximum SoC temperature.

over clocking

what exactly does over clocking do, I think I have the general idea of what it does...... and what do you over clock 2?
overclocking changes the frequency at which your phone's processor works, thereby making it faster. You use batterystatus to overclock. Most of us overclock to 243 or 273,i believe
Your upper limit depends on your particular device. Some can only overclock a few mhz past the stock 201mhz. Some can overclock to 299+.
But it basically allows your device to perform faster at the cost of battery, heat and technically longevity.

CPU Frequency Control on CM Stock Kernel?

I have tried various custom kernels but they make the performance etc some stufff lag.
But with stock kernel limiting the max CPU frequency doesn't work.
It do shows the max frequency u set but CPU do runs at higher ones.
Any fix?

Exynos CPU & GPU control problem

I'm having a problem controlling the cpu clock speeds.
So, I know the exynos is a big.LITTLE octa core processor, and thus has a big and LITTLE core.
When I underclock the LITTLE core, the frequency sticks, and the LITTLE cores all stay at the clock speed that I set.
However when I underclock the big core, the cpu frequency resets itself after a certain period of time.
Also, I can't find ANY app that supports underclocking of the Mail GPU, which is a big battery hog...
I am using the permissive kernel in jafangie's deodexed rom for T715Y
Is this a kernel problem? Do I need a custom kernel to control the CPU properly?
Any suggestions would be appreciated...
Flash a 5.1.1 ROM and use the NN-J kernel. Then you can tune all the CPU parameters, including disabling some of the "big" cores. GPU tuning ATM is not possible, but the developer of the NN-J kernel is very active, so stay tuned...

Thanks for the advice! I will try out the custom kernel you mentioned once I can get 5.1.1 on my device.

sd 435 cpu prob

why always 2 big cpus are off in sd 435..... like some tes cpu 0 and 2 executes some times cpu 1 and 3.. how to make sure all 4 big cpus works..... amd remaining little cpus 4,5,6,7 all runs perfectly

This is due to Qualcomm's hotplugging solution. The CPU load is distributed among the little and big CPUs. If you have root access, you can download Kernel Adiutor and increase the maximum number of CPUs on to 4. This, however, does not work on all ROMs.

this doesnt work at all... i did it earlier it stays for sometime then it regains its earlier values

Who can I use maximum CPU frequency?

CPU frequency c
I can't make it go over 1794 mhz with any kernel app
Why no performance in governor?
Are you having problems with your phone running slow or something?
